Got it done, great video! Pro-tip (not that I am a pro whatsoever), if you have a body panel clip remover tool, use that to help you out when trying to remove the hoses from the purge valve. Helped me out more than the flat head screwdriver
I just replaced the Purge Valve for a 2010 Elantra. The location of components are a tad bit different. I vlogged about the simplicity of the removal and installation as well. Thanks 1A Auto Parts!
Thank you I have a Hyundai Elantra 2010 and I am struggling trying to replace the purge valve I can’t disconnect the wire from the valve it is very different from this video.
Another solution would be for the states and EPA to provide an exemption to some emission requirements for 15 year and older cars. Even if this valve is stuck open (the normal failure mode), virtually all the fuel vapors still kept from getting into the air. Sure, no car emitting visible or smellable pollution should be allowed, but something like this should be.
Your mistake was using a dorman purge valve. Replaced 3 on my Elantra (within a year) and finally went with Napa which was actually a Bosch part. Dorman electrical parts are about the worse you can use. I’ll never use them on my cars anymore.
I got a P0441 code on my 07 Elantra. Followed this video, drove the car for 60 miles after replacing the valve and still get the same code. I'm curious if I could have put it in upside down or what I could have missed.
I'm looking to replace all of the engine mounts for a 2009 Hyundai Elantra Touring 4cyl. Any thing I would need a heads up on? I have replaced engine mounts on several 4, 6, and 8 cylinder cars before with success. I am helping a neighbor, and I havent found anything in this model year range online for a DIY home garage. "remove the engine" That woke up a lot of viewers! 🤣
So my 2007 Hyundai Elantra reads P0444, I’ve replaced both the purge valve, and fuel cap, would next steps be to replace the Catalytic converter or the 2 o2 sensors in your opinion? @1A auto?
I'm getting a reading of P0451/P0455 is this the part I need for that? I replaced the gas cap and was told I may need a fuel sensor...engine light went out but still won't pass emissions
+TheLatelycrew P0451 (EVAP Emission Control System Pressure Sensor Range) and P0455 (EVAP Emission Control System Large Leak). You could try replacing the valve and see if that helps with the codes.
Ok I have a Hyundai Elantra 2007 I can go to any gas station put gas in it then it acts like it doesn't want to start what could it be after apply gas to it it fires right off and runs ok
+AirGunGodz We don't have a how-to video for your vehicle right now, but the basic steps in this video should be enough to do this task. Buy this part for your vehicle on 1AAuto.com: 1aau.to/m/Shop-1AAuto-c

Hello my friend I have a car of Kia soul 2012 2.6L today I put my computer on it, I see in ECM one code of P0661 , after I' looking the code on Google , I don't find it, I just text you to do the video about my car to explain me very well what piece is it and where place is it in kia soul 2012 2.6 L. Ok Thank you in advance et for your understanding.
It would have been nice if you told us which side was up on those purge valves. I didn't know it mattered and I installed it upside down. My car blew up. Thanks for nothing.
+Nestor Villalobos Thanks for checking us out! This video was completed for installation purposes. However, a common code for the Purge Valve would be Error Code P0443. You may also notice a rough idle, hard starting, or bad engine performance. If you think you may have an issue with the Purge Valve we would suggest taking your vehicle to a nearby reputable shop to identify the cause. Thank you!

This is the best channel on RUclips! Thanks s lot, I replaced the purge valve without problem!
Don't know how I repaired my cars before these great RUclips videos - with a lot more wasted time and frustration, I guess. Thanks

You got me with that joke. I was like "WHAAA....oh. Ha ha." Thanks for the instructions.
The only step by step video Ive found. Still can't find one for a 2011 Elantra GLS touring
Thanks for the clear instructions. Got mine done today no problem

Thanks. Going to carry out this operation in a few days. This video helped.
1:22 “just gunna pull the engine out “
I replaced mine with the help of this video, thank you so much!!

Oem part is $25 on Amazon lol
Thanks for the great vid...Would the same process work for a 06 elantra?
Great video!!! Thank you. I still have a question.
When i fuel the tank to max it overflows. Does the purge valve correctiion make it okay?
Same procedure for a 2009 Hyundai Accent. Only difference is that the Purge Valve is parallel to the ground rather than perpendicular.
Loolz! I almost clicked away when you said, "all we're gonna do is pull the engine outta here" 😅
Thank you, I followed your instructions, it’s all good now!
Had a 2001 and now have a 2011 and they are such simple cars to work on
Good work thanks tomorrow I'm going to change my
Great video, worked perfectly!
Good job mat can you how can I Fix or you should be changing

a bad cannister valve will give you the same code.also i would put new clamps on the hoses, weak clamps can lead to vacuum leaks.

The hose you removed at 2:55 i tried pulling off from the other end. The plastic connector broke in half. Any idea what that's called?
How do you know when the purge valve needs replacing?
when you get a check engine light
Is the purge valve the same thing as a purge solenoid
What is the model of this Hyundai, how much is the engine capacity?
Just to clarify. In the 2005 Elantra this part is located in the rear in the EVAP canister next to gas tank correct?
Could you do a video on this for a 2011 Hyundai Sonata 2.0L ? Thank you.
I was really wanting to see it tested to determine if it is faulty. I read that the engine usually misfires when the purge valve fails. Is this true?
So my 2007 Hyundai Elantra reads P0444, I’ve replaced both the purge valve, and fuel cap, would next steps be to replace the Catalytic converter or the 2 o2 sensors in your opinion? @1A auto?
Should I reset the check engine light after replacing this part
+Jeremy Garcia You will want to clear the codes after the part is installed. Thanks for checking us out! 1aau.to/m/Shop-1AAuto-c

2014 hyundai elantra with p0447. Any guidance?
Is this similar for a 2008 hyundai santa fe?
Does the battery need detached before you unplug?
Good job 👍👍👍

Same location for the Azeri?
Same for valve found on 2009/2000cc Kia Soul
do i have to drain any fluids?

Will this fix the evap leak P0455??
That's what I'm trying to figure out. That's my code right now and I just got an evap purge valve to hopefully fix it...idk what else to get for that.
6:42 the old one doesn't come with a rubber mount? huh?
SilentServiceCode He mixed them up
He meant the new one. I caught that too :)
Figure it out
Missing a bracket on the air filter housing probably means unfiltered air is getting past the filter and into the engine.

@@1AAuto what about P0455?
I’m Still Trying To Find Where The Purge Valve Is Located On My 2013 Hyundai Elantra 🤦🏾♀️
+Love Anyce The purge valve is located in the vacuum line between the fuel vapor containment canister and the intake manifold.
