They give very low number wet and inter tires, they do not allow drivers to use them in practice sections fully.(Risk of using old used tires at race and qualifying)
Basically you are allocated 7 Wet compound tyres ( 4 Inter and 3 Full Wet)

Sad to say but I hoped nobody went out for FP2, that might have made FIA think back about that rule...
I also think that with no rain in the forecast for the rest of the weekend it's somewhat silly to risk a problem in heavy rain to not even learn anything pertinent for Q or the race.
Ocon, Max, Stoffel and why not even Lance are the future of F1. It would be fun in 10 years to see them fighting over titles

A little bit too spiky (as usual with Ocon), but excellent car-control and lines, yes.
His line is so clean
One of the coolest tracks... definitely top 5! Balls of steel running flat out with standing water on track, awesome drive!
Looking at the front wheels gives a feeling as if the car's being tested for aerodynamics inside a wind tunnel..so cool!
Incredible how fast they can go with so much water. It's a shame they don't race with this weather anymore

T F C yeah I understand why they think that the halos are needed but they look shit and you may as well just have a closed cockpit
they may put a camera on the halo and we will get a cool view. But i hate how they look too
Camera on the halo would be terrible since we wouldn't be able to see the steering wheel.

The best rookie currently in F1 without any doubt. If given drive for Mercedes or Ferrari he can do wonders. I see him fighting for Championships against the likes of Verstappen & Vandoorne in the near future.

Has anybody noticed that the Mercedes PU sounds reminiscent of the sound used for the Merc SL600 in NFS 3? Especially when stepping off the power and downshifting. I'm personally loving it.
Ocon is really improving fast. He's the one to keep an eye out in a close future.

I mean, there was only 2 rookie that season (and Ocon wasn't even a real one, he drove for Manor in 2016).

F1 is all about split second decision making, so I can hardly judge Esteban for some of the things he did this season, but this is just brilliant driving in that type of weather.
That's the case in some situations, but phenomenal drivers don't react to their car, they manipulate it!
Got to be one to watch in the future, France have got some serious talent coming into F1 at the moment!

The best drivers are always the one whom is skillful in Wet tracks.
Not necessarily, Hulkenberg for example was excellent in raining conditions, especially when it comes to driver with slicks on a humid track, yet he wasn't "one of the best"!
Same goes for Stroll, really great driver in extreme wet conditions, but a part from that...
Rain is a great equalizer.. 🤔😉

would love to see sensor readings of how the water effects tire temps/degradation as the race progresses. For instance, I'm sure it's still important to get heat into the tires, even though it's raining. However, the temps are probably a lot cooler. Maybe the wet tires are very soft?

I think Ocon will challenge for World Championships in the future. And I will be supporting him once Hamilton leaves F1. The guy is a joy to watch and it's always fun to hear him on the radio!

Surprisingly amongst Project Cars 2, Forza 7 and Dirt 4, it's the most enjoyable racing game this year imo (especially the career mode). Sure, it had its bugs, but right now it's actually less buggy than PC2 and Forza 7.
