I was part of the many who thought this game would Bomb cause of the Rabbids. Looking at the gameplay I can see this game's potential is massive. Ubisoft & Nintendo actually made one of the weirdest/worst crossovers, and made it work. This was the ultimate "Don't knock it till you it" and I'm glad I was proven wrong. Now obviously its not for everyone, cause who wants to play XCOM 2. But if you're a guy like me, you never played any tactical turn based shooters and this'll get me into them. Once I get a Switch I will happily buy it and give it a go
Waluigi deserve his own game No he didn't. 8 characters is enough when you can only have 3 in your party. Waluigi is underrated by Nintendo, but ironically, very overrated by the fans.
I think you are underselling Rabbid Mario just because of how well he pairs with Mario's M-Power. With his explosive dash and magnet dance hammer combo, he can easily one shot large groups of enemies even if they include powerful units like bucklers and smashers. I'd actually recommend vamp on the hammer instead of stone as it likely you'll be one shotting your enemies with it anyways so one might as well give him the chance for a full heal.
Na, if you're one shotting foos, your other heroes can't get a heal in. Plus, stone renders smashers useless which are a nightmare otherwise if you're in close. Roll with vamp damage on the shotgun.
Vamp gets better late game, but early on stone is MUCH better. Especially if you’re doing something like just starting world 4, that one-shot potential may not be there.
t@@flame_fearless he dabs after he sends a drone (or something i forgot what its called) after someone and the luigi death stare is just that option where he shoots anyone that moves
The characters have many themes. The Mario characters all have a hero sight and jump based ability while the Rabbid characters all have shields and dash based abilities. And there are themes within sets of characters. Both Peaches can heal, both Luigis have a unique base weapon, both Marios have the Hammer, and both Yoshis have the Rumblebang. Also, Rabbids tend to have abilities that effect enemies with Rabbid Peach being the only exception, while the Mario characters all have effects that buff themselves
stuntmen75 she also deals tons of damage, enough to take out your teammates of you aren't careful. But a very rewarding character since she can take out heavy hitters in a single turn.
My favorite part of this video is the fact you have the Mid Boss theme playing straight through from beginning to end. Best track in the game and it isn't really close.
I find Rabbid Luigi to be rather great. His rocket can hit behind any cover and is great for blowing away enemy strongholds. His Dash is actually so damaging that if he is in close he is one of the best damage dealer.
And guaranteed vamp on his dash makes him super supportive even early game before his primary weapon crit chance gets ridiculous. He's the workhorse utility unit of the game that can serve a specialized role in pretty much any situation. Even in boss battles he can focus on crowd control to make up for not outright matching up against the bosses themselves. Definitely my favorite.
Mario: The character that you slowly begin to hate since he prevents you from using so many different team combinations Rabbid Peach: The character that you take for granted until you try replacing her with someone else Rabbid Luigi: The character that you try to use as a healer but fail since his dash kills the enemy before his teammates can attack the enemy Luigi: The character that you will always be able to keep alive due to him being able to run a marathon in one turn and attack from the other side of the map Rabbid Mario: The character that you try to use as an aggressive bruiser against groups of enemies but is very situational and has trouble closing in upon the enemy. Peach: The character that you use against the final boss due to her rate of healing being higher than the boss's rate of damage when her health is maxed out Rabbid Yoshi: The character that you know is extremely good, but isn't useful since his strengths don't align with the main objectives of the levels Yoshi:The character that you want to replace Mario with but can't. Seriously, Yoshi is a more defensive and arguably better version of Mario. Yoshi's team jump can damage both enemies AND cover. Yoshi's star power buffs damage while also enabling powerful effects such as ink or stone Yoshi's weapon can cause ink Yoshi's bazooka can destroy cover, enabling Luigi to go ham on Lava Valkries without Luigi even needing to leave the Ancient Gardens.
Rabbid Peach, Luigi, and Yoshi is my dream combination of characters. In terms of what's actually possible in the story mode, my favorite combination of characters is Mario, Rabbid Peach, and Yoshi followed closely behind that team while replacing Yoshi with Luigi.
The problem with rabbid yoshi is his dependence on yoshi and yoshi is the last character in the game. That said once you have the ability to guarantee crits rabbid yoshi yoshi Mario is an excellent loadout for any objective involving death. Double yoshi can turn 1 clear many late defeat all maps or just otko bowser junior in that one post game map that has every mini boss. Also just never use peach as you can only heal effectively with her if you basically only use her grenades as putting her in position to heal usually is putting her Allies right next to a shotgun. Just use rabbid peach or rabbid Luigi for healing or just turn 1 clear maps with double yoshi if that suits your fancy. Also you don’t really need or even necessarily want a healer you just need some form of way of dealing with enemy damage, guaranteed stone via yoshi with rabbid mario or rabbid yoshi is often better then a healer for example making yoshi better with these two since he can effectively mitigate damage while actually doing solid damage unlike rabbid peach ( heck even vs bosses yoshi+ rabbid yoshi can do well as you can use rabbid yoshi to take hits from the bosses and that’s also the highest single target damage loadout and rabbid mario can be used as a reliable healer via vamp shotguns if that suits your fancy
I mean...Gru looks a lot like Eggman (from Sonic Boom). Or...is that Sonic in a romantic relationship with Minions. (With it being X and not &). XD Joking, joking. XD
I think the big thing we all have to keep in mind is that they weren't making a Mario Xcom game that the developers decided to put Rabbids into, but rather, they were tasked with making a Mario Rabbids cross-over and they genuinely tried to make it a great game (and honestly, they largely succeeded). So if we were going to have to have Rabbids regardless, I'm glad it's at least still a good game.
@@JackThePerson27 personally I don’t think peach shines all that much because it’s really hard to get to the opponent and hit them with something like a boomshot because of her poor movement
Rabbid mario is very good at 1 turn victories in certain situations when boosted by M power and itchy feet( or super chance,I suppose), I used Luigi for the whole game, and rabbid Luigi most of the time, though
@@JakoBpyroTech I agree. These monsters are the defenition of ctrl-alt-delete. When they are on the same team it is super fun to control Rabbid Mario at the front lines getting the stronger enemies in one shot, Mario staying close to one or the other buffing them with M-Power, and Luigi helping from a distance. They are my go to team ever since spooky trails.
This game is actually not even Nintendo's strangest game combo. Both Zelda and Pokemon has similar combo games - Hyrule Warriors (Zelda+Dynasty Warriors) and Pokemon Conquest (Pokemon+Nobunaga's Ambition). Both are great games.
Bounce works wonderfully with the overwatch abilities, and it works even best when you can M-Power Luigi and Rabbid Peach's drones to deal massive damage and potentially knock up an entire group in the sky for Luigi to shoot down as if he's bird hunting. Got to where I could effectively shut down a certain mech-based midboss in just one turn.
Actually bounce is a good effect combined with over watch, since you can continue to shoot them in mid air, you just have to activate it before you attack
I played through the ENTIRE game with mostly Luigi as my favorite character. . . and I didn't even notice the dab until everyone pointed it out at launch. I guess I was too distracted by his insane damage.
Who realized this. All Mario characters utility effect their team jump and their techniques have a hero sight. All the rabbids characters utility effect their dash and their techniques have a shield of some sort.
I've found bounce to be an amazingly effective effect, it combines amazingly well with the overwatch abilities. Bounce triggers overwatch and blasts the enemies as long as thier airborne, in range, and alive. It's a fantastic mid-boss and heavy enemy combo
Surprisingly, I found Mario's movement to be one of the better things he has. With an upgraded team jump and stomp-bounce range, you can do up to 150 damage with a jump and make it a really far distance. It's especially good against the melee guys and guys with shields. Also, Luigi gets one shot by pretty much any of the melee units, especially **Spoilers!** Bowser Jr., who absolutely demolishes him. I ended up replacing Luigi with Yoshi after that fight because of how many times he died and made me restart the battle, since I didn't realize that you pretty much had to make Bowser Jr. charge at you at the beginning of the fight so you even had a chance of getting away for the rest of the fight.
JWittz, you're the best! So glad whenever I see you do sponsored content because I can count on you to stay honest and uncompromised! Makes me proud to be a fan!
Mario- guy who you have to be with just cause ... he’s mario Luigi- oh god the death stare is back Rabbid peach- “hold on let me update my status” Rabbid Luigi- crazy sorcerer who was trapped in the dungeon for 10 years Rabbid mario- guy attacking random people with a hammer and a shotgun Peach- deranged princess wielding a *SHOTGUN* ...and a rubber ducky Rabbid yoshi- *OH GOD HE’S A PSYCHOPATH* Yoshi- Mario’s “horse”
I'm still disappointed by all the strict team building rules - it limits creativity a whole ton and makes no sense within the story since you see characters not on your team during cutscenes anyway. Here's to hoping for DLC to remove these limitations (maybe a hard mode with limits removed?).
Balancing purpose. Imagine being able to let an ally as strong as Luigi get guaranteed critic and Mario power to bosst his attack. The game force you to have a rabbid as well since it’s in the title for a reason.
Just bought the Gold Edition in excitement for Sparks of Hope, so this is an excellent video to help me get through the game! Who woulda thought that a Mario Rabbid crossover would be a good game if you just add Guns in it? Also, *BOWSER HYPE LESS GOOOOOOO*
I have 2 uses for scaredy rabbid: 1. If you're surrounded by smashers, you can use scaredy rabbid to get you out of their range. 2. If you're trying to get an enemy inside of an AOE attack, you can use scaredy rabbid to get it in range of the attack.
I tried the XCom demo and couldn't get into it, felt complicated and the whole dark and gritty atmosphere put me off. This game, on the other hand, simplifies the combat system while also introducing its own mechanics to add depth, and it also has a much preferred cartoon aesthetic. I like it quite a lot and it makes me want to give XCom a second chance.
This was a fantastic overview of the characters. I stopped playing the game because I was sidetracked by another game but man does this make me want to go back and start all over.
I've been watching since the top gym leaders video, and I'm so alfalfa to see you getting sponsorship deals and meeting with devs. I love what you do, and I hope you continue strong!
Uhm Jwittz wth. Last time I saw you, you were indeed climbing up the ladder of being a RUclips pro but gosh darn I almost didn't recognize you. You're doing fantastic man, glad to see you're having so much fun making quality content. Keep up the awesome work.
I will say this, my main team was the starting team. Not because it’s what you start with, because if you do it right it can be broken, but because Rabbid Peach heals, Rabbid Luigi with the final two Bworb/Yo-Yo attacks that always crit is REALLY broken, and Mario sometimes with his high damage just sometimes CARRIED FIGHTS!
fire is not a weak effect. it is amazing set uip. you can decimate teams with it. put Mario luigi and peach on overwatch. set a group on fire. which will both remove them from cover and get them shot to pieces. if they survive. they are coverless. even if you don;t do that. simply removing enemies from cover is a godsend
I think this is Nintendo‘s most creative RPG yet I haven’t looked at all of them but so far this one looks the most Unique paper Mario sticker star is the grease creative one in terms of the world but I guess the sticker mechanic was Creative of at the time
One thing to note about vamp, the affect does stack with other vamp weapons like rabbid Mario's melee and boomshot or rabbid Luigi's other bworbs. This although a chore to use as a healing source, but the health you get is insane.
you can't have 3 of the regular characters together, and yet can you still use mario's ability to pull enemies in and then have Luigi attack from a safe range? That also seems kinda broken, but I haven't played the game so I can't say for certain
There's actually not as much of it here as you'd think. There's still a toilet gag here or there, but not every game or movie can avoid it. They ditched most of the franchise's signature jokes for actual laughs.
mario:JOAT Rpeach:healer and dealer Rluigi:status effect master luigi:long range master Rmario:kaboom? peach:protec and serv Ryoshi=rapidash yoshi:all around collaterall
Rabbid Yoshi's biggest asset is definitely the mobility. I recall one S-chapter where he could circle the entire map in an entire turn, tackling all enemies in the process.
MastaShake99 It's simple enough to pick up without getting bogged down with too many complicated mechanics. I would definitely recommend it for players trying to dip their toes into tactical rpgs.
I don't understand how the Mario characters get a bonus to their jumps and get an over watch ability and get a boost in a certain stats, well the Rabbid characters get a boost in dashes and get a shield along with an support ability.
Ephraim of Renais I don't know where that comparison came from. Promotion isn't even in this game and I wouldn't say it's that comparable to any fe game. With that being said I agree Roy's terrible.
Side note: Using Rabbid Mario's and Rabbid Yoshi's technique to move enemies will proc Mario characters' gaze ability. This gives you more control over who your character shoots, since enemies take their turns kind of randomly, and won't necessarily walk into your line of sight.
even if the rabbids annoy you, it's a Nintendo game so most of the focus is on the really fun gameplay rather than the story. I'd say go for it if you think it looks fun
So, when I get this game, My team will probably be: Mario Rabbid Peach Rabbid Yoshi/Luigi Who is better, Rabbid Yoshi or Luigi? I'm too lazy to watch the whole video.
Rabbid Luigi and Rabbid Mario are the best characters in the game. Rabbid Luigi keeps everyone at full health by applying vamparism to enemies, which not only fully heal him, but also allows you to restore at least 60% of you other characters HP. Rabbid Mario just wrecks everything. They are closely followed by Rabbid Peach, since a great heal. Especially useful against bosses, since they are immune to vampirism (though the minions they spawn aren't so she's not essential). Luigi is pretty great too, just not as good as the other three, because of his HP and because snipers don't need movement, since you usually want him to support from the back, not move to the front. He's great on "Reach Area" maps though, obviously. After that we have Yoshi. His ground pound has excellent range, but sadly does very little damage. Rabbid Mario does about 5 to 6 times that. His Hero shot is very good nice though. Rabbid Yoshi has a shield, which makes him good for some bosses; that's about it. He can dash a lot but his dashes don't do much damage. Dead last is Princess Peach, which has a 20% heal every turn in a very limited area, that you can only use if you're able to reach an ally to super jump. Woohoo... She also has the ability take damage your allies take, which makes little sense for since she will be taking the majority of the damage since she's wielding a close range weapon and therefore has to be on the frontline. She's decent alongside Rabbid Peach, since Peach can divide the damage among your characters, which Rabbid Peach can then heal. She would have been great alongside Luigi, since Luigi having a 600HP Luigi would have been sweet, but the game sadly dicates that you have to have at least 1 rabbid in your party. You can't remove mario from your party, but I'd say he's about as good as Rabbid Peach. Though he is essantial for the Rabbid mario strategy, because of his ability to power up (for example) Rabbid Mario so he can draw in and one shot 4 to 7 enemies with a single Hammer attack. Just my opinion, of course.
Peach is good though, she has Boomshots that arguably the best weapon in the game (high damage, multiple target, wide range compared to hammer). Everyone on this game are very balance imo
Picking this game up tomorrow (hopefully they aren't sold out at Walmart, but usually Switch games aren't sold out at the Walmart I go to) and I'm pretty excited. At first, I thought it sounded like a stupid game but it actually looks like a pretty great game. I can't wait until I can start playing it.
When this was first announced, I doubted I was ever getting this. Now that it's out, it looks really good! Might consider getting it when I get my switch
Thanks a ton for this! I just got the game, and I'm not particularly good at these types of strategy games, so having a guide of each characters pros and cons is helpful!
I have always thought of Luigi as a defensive character because of Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga, but looking at Luigi in this gets me super excited. I can just imagine the opportunities I can use him in.

Once I get a Switch I will happily buy it and give it a go
Final Smash Xpert don't knock it till you it?
Super Mac 64 annnnnnnnd Now I'm embarrassed
Final Smash Xpert XD but was is that supposed to say? I've never heard that metaphor before.
Super Mac 64 Don't knock it till you try it. Basically don't judge anything until you yourself have experienced it
Final Smash Xpert oh ok, Reminds me of "don't judge a book by its cover"
i loved the idea of having a Bwaluigi character in this game, but come on, waluigi himself deserved to be part of this game
Waluigi deserve his own game No he didn't. 8 characters is enough when you can only have 3 in your party. Waluigi is underrated by Nintendo, but ironically, very overrated by the fans.
BWAAAAAHHH!
Waluigi deserve his own game but if they add waluigi, they would have to add wario.
I'm just hoping Wario and Waluigi make an appearance in Mario Odyssey
Nathan Thames special mode where you have four Heroes in your party
@@WarMonkeyPlays you don't need to heal if they're dead before they can hit you.
No need to heal when your hammer hits a vamp on a crowd
Vamp gets better late game, but early on stone is MUCH better. Especially if you’re doing something like just starting world 4, that one-shot potential may not be there.
I love how two things Luigi does in the game are inspired by memes.
Which ones?
@@flame_fearless Luigi death stare (mario kart) and the dab
@@salt8044 I don't know when he does those. I guess I have to look closer!
Luigi + Mario + Rabbid Mario = cheese
t@@flame_fearless he dabs after he sends a drone (or something i forgot what its called) after someone and the luigi death stare is just that option where he shoots anyone that moves
Also, Rabbids tend to have abilities that effect enemies with Rabbid Peach being the only exception, while the Mario characters all have effects that buff themselves
why would you use honey when you can chain herosight and steadly stare with a good bounce?
Well for enemies like Smashers, you best want to keep them restrained or blindsided. You don't want them to be bounced near an ally
When a smasher goes out of bounds then they start chasing plus they are still going away from you with bounce
Can't believe Peach is a tank, did not see that coming
stuntmen75 PEACHY IS TANKY AF
Well, she's certainly has experience being the target of attacks.
stuntmen75 she also deals tons of damage, enough to take out your teammates of you aren't careful.
But a very rewarding character since she can take out heavy hitters in a single turn.
If Mario, Luigi, and Peach could be used as a team, they'd be indomitable.
The Jesterday yeah you just copied that from theJwittz
Yeah. He stayed on my team since the start of the game. The vamp effect is absolutely nuts.
Rabbit Luigi is Awesome i love Playing as him
@@blitzboy2934 same and when i got rabbid mario i see how that combo is the most op in the game.
This game actually looks surprisingly complex with all the different things going on, I'd probably be buying it if I had a switch
Mario: The character that you slowly begin to hate since he prevents you from using so many different team combinations
Rabbid Peach: The character that you take for granted until you try replacing her with someone else
Rabbid Luigi: The character that you try to use as a healer but fail since his dash kills the enemy before his teammates can attack the enemy
Luigi: The character that you will always be able to keep alive due to him being able to run a marathon in one turn and attack from the other side of the map
Rabbid Mario: The character that you try to use as an aggressive bruiser against groups of enemies but is very situational and has trouble closing in upon the enemy.
Peach: The character that you use against the final boss due to her rate of healing being higher than the boss's rate of damage when her health is maxed out
Rabbid Yoshi: The character that you know is extremely good, but isn't useful since his strengths don't align with the main objectives of the levels
Yoshi:The character that you want to replace Mario with but can't. Seriously, Yoshi is a more defensive and arguably better version of Mario.
Yoshi's team jump can damage both enemies AND cover.
Yoshi's star power buffs damage while also enabling powerful effects such as ink or stone
Yoshi's weapon can cause ink
Yoshi's bazooka can destroy cover, enabling Luigi to go ham on Lava Valkries without Luigi even needing to leave the Ancient Gardens.
My dream team combination would be Mario, Luigi, and Yoshi or Yoshi, Luigi, and Rabbid Peach
Rabbid Peach, Luigi, and Yoshi is my dream combination of characters.
In terms of what's actually possible in the story mode, my favorite combination of characters is Mario, Rabbid Peach, and Yoshi followed closely behind that team while replacing Yoshi with Luigi.
My dream team Is Rabbid Luigi, Peach, and Rabbid Peach.
@@RappingRain the healthiest team. No one can damage them without that damage being healed the second it's their turn
Next game: sonic x minions
Rip sega
Damit, you ruined my fan game.

Or...is that Sonic in a romantic relationship with Minions. (With it being X and not &). XD Joking, joking. XD
Shiny Misty too bad eggman isn't voiced by Steve Carrel
Damit, you ruined my fan game.
no wonder Luigi dabs in the game. He's the best glass canon.
4:40 not dabbing
Remember, dabbing is rated E for everyone.
I think the big thing we all have to keep in mind is that they weren't making a Mario Xcom game that the developers decided to put Rabbids into, but rather, they were tasked with making a Mario Rabbids cross-over and they genuinely tried to make it a great game (and honestly, they largely succeeded). So if we were going to have to have Rabbids regardless, I'm glad it's at least still a good game.
just got my switch today, will surely buy this game eventually.. so thx for the guide :) but now.. breath of the wild !
Derpy Spoil good choice love the profile pic but one thing breath of the wild is like dark souls in a way it's very unforgiving but super fun
It's like an easy Dark Souls, you mean.
Botw is just the best game ever.I have 190+ hours in it and I’m still going.the dlc for the game is also incredible(I know I am 2 years late)
“Some characters shine more than others”
Me: Luigi luigi Luigi luigi
Edit: Also Rabbid luigi
Rabbid Yoshi for me
Forgetting Peach?
@@JackThePerson27 personally I don’t think peach shines all that much because it’s really hard to get to the opponent and hit them with something like a boomshot because of her poor movement
@@XGame80 I respect your opinion. I think the boomshot can be really good and her team jump ability can be really useful, in my opinion.
Am I the only one that finds it funny that Luigi has a death stare?
Nope. Not even close.
Nerdy Cannon oh my god it is a LITERAL death stare a looks at a enemy and he kills them I need this damm game NOW
Nerdy Cannon I'm like "Steely Gaze?" HOOOOOO
WhatsUpYT yes
Nerdy Cannon Nintendo actually used the Steely Stare as a reference to the Luigi Death Scare, a Mario Kart 8 meme
luigi is a huge glass canon if you didn't know what he means
Jonathan Julian i know
He dabs
Jonathan Julian who is better rabbid mario or luigi
Neither of those is more strange than this.
Also, POKEMON CONQUEST 2 WHEN?!?!?
Ace in the Hole Please
Pokemon Conquest 2
The first game was excellent
Ace and Eratin
I NEEEEEED IT (I loved the first one)
V BT What about Super Smash Bros? It involves all of Nintendo's IPs and has them duke it out. That's pretty crazy!
I loved pokemon conquest and I'm not much into turn based rpgs but I throughouly enjoyed it surprisingly and would love to see a sequal on the switch.
I don't even have the game yet but I still enjoyed this.
I love how cute they made Yoshi in this game. Even just his little purr thing when you select him is adorable!
Actually bounce is a good effect combined with over watch, since you can continue to shoot them in mid air, you just have to activate it before you attack
facts
hope you make an updated version for the new one... this guide was *chefs kiss*
Cmon you forgot to show the other most awesome thing luigi can do for your team... he can dab on them enemies.
I played through the ENTIRE game with mostly Luigi as my favorite character. . . and I didn't even notice the dab until everyone pointed it out at launch.
I guess I was too distracted by his insane damage.
TheJWittz not too sure about this i know this sounds weird but is it kinda like fire emblem?
Gengavari it is a different style of the same genre
@Gengavari, no. it is not at all like fire emblem, other than being turn based. It is an X-Com game
The game is like XCOM.
Who realized this. All Mario characters utility effect their team jump and their techniques have a hero sight. All the rabbids characters utility effect their dash and their techniques have a shield of some sort.
Yeah that’s the point dude
Mario and rabbits meet Xcom
No one saw it coming
The game we deserved, but never knew we wanted.
WEE DIDN'T SEE IT COOOOOOMMMMMIIIIIIIIIIING!
Kameron Johnson Too fast for eyes
Kameron Johnson
Living for the Persona 5 memes.
I like to call it M-COM: Rabbids Unknown
I've found bounce to be an amazingly effective effect, it combines amazingly well with the overwatch abilities.
Bounce triggers overwatch and blasts the enemies as long as thier airborne, in range, and alive. It's a fantastic mid-boss and heavy enemy combo
Strange they didn't make Luigi a tank like in most of the rpgs 🤔
Ryoma of Hoshido come to think of it, he is the exact opposite in this game then he is in the Mario and Luigi rpgs
but luigi is always scared so being a tank won't fit with him in my opinion.
He is more scared than in the RPG series.
Hey don't worry... at least loogie dabs
Max Stache Luigi tho
really happy to see the initiative ubisoft is taking with this ip in collaboration with content creators
Surprisingly, I found Mario's movement to be one of the better things he has. With an upgraded team jump and stomp-bounce range, you can do up to 150 damage with a jump and make it a really far distance. It's especially good against the melee guys and guys with shields.
Also, Luigi gets one shot by pretty much any of the melee units, especially **Spoilers!**
Bowser Jr., who absolutely demolishes him.
JWittz this video is very helpful

Rabbid peach- “hold on let me update my status”
Rabbid Luigi- crazy sorcerer who was trapped in the dungeon for 10 years

Umm, Channel?
I'm still disappointed by all the strict team building rules - it limits creativity a whole ton and makes no sense within the story since you see characters not on your team during cutscenes anyway. Here's to hoping for DLC to remove these limitations (maybe a hard mode with limits removed?).
Balancing purpose. Imagine being able to let an ally as strong as Luigi get guaranteed critic and Mario power to bosst his attack. The game force you to have a rabbid as well since it’s in the title for a reason.
The best healing ability is definetly the Vamp Dash IMO. It benefits everybody no matter the range.
Thanks jwittz this really helped me on my play through of the game. Keep up the good work.
Please tell me you’re gonna make a character guide (and/or boss guide) for Mario + Rabbids sparks of hope.
I personally use push and bounce to help prock hero sight, since they move and get targeted; very good for bursting down foes
I like it quite a lot and it makes me want to give XCom a second chance.
i originally thought I was gonna hate Rabbid Peach, due to the selfie thing. Then I used her...God I love her.
Dang JWitts! Moving on up and getting sponsored! *Sniff* I still remember profit
This was a fantastic overview of the characters. I stopped playing the game because I was sidetracked by another game but man does this make me want to go back and start all over.
I wonder if Peach is as tanks as she was in Super Mario RPG...
Yes, she is. She is a paladin in this game
In super mario RPG, anyone can be a tank as long as they have lazy shell
I've been watching since the top gym leaders video, and I'm so alfalfa to see you getting sponsorship deals and meeting with devs. I love what you do, and I hope you continue strong!
Fav Character: *Rabbid Mario* And *Rabbid Luigi* And *Rabbid Yoshi*
I'm Also A Fan Of Luigi's *Dab*
Uhm Jwittz wth.
Last time I saw you, you were indeed climbing up the ladder of being a RUclips pro but gosh darn I almost didn't recognize you.
You're doing fantastic man, glad to see you're having so much fun making quality content. Keep up the awesome work.
If this game doesn't give us constant 99% hit chance misses and squad panicking, I ain't buying it
I don't know about other people, but I felt really lucky when playing this game.
Well good for you because first enemy does squad panics and gets 1% hit by moves and movement
Not really. It depends less on RNG and more on the relative positions of your team members, enemies, and their surroundings.
its more about skill than it is about luck, thankfully.
Like seriously GET THE STOMP ABILITY as soon as you get the skill tree!!
sweet guide Jwittz good looking out
Luigi's finally putting that Death Stare to good use
Breaking News: new mario rabbids game coming in 2022
i had just unlocked yoshi and wasnt sure how to use him. loved your guide! really helped me understand the game more
fire is not a weak effect. it is amazing set uip. you can decimate teams with it. put Mario luigi and peach on overwatch. set a group on fire. which will both remove them from cover and get them shot to pieces. if they survive. they are coverless. even if you don;t do that. simply removing enemies from cover is a godsend
Thank you SO MUCH. This video was what originally got me interested in Mario and Rabbids Kingdom battle.
So basically Rabbid Luigi is myrmidon from fire emblem low defences and strength but extremely fast and crits a lot
Garrett Preston
He's a glass cannon. Most glass cannons in turn-based strategy games are exactly the same
+Zaxton Hong Rabbid Luigi isnt a glass canon. He is more a pseudo healer tagged with high crit
Who else is pumped for Sparks of Hope? I’m definitely planning on getting and playing it when it comes out in October.
Why cant you use Peach and Luigi together? I get that's its OP, but is there an actual game reason?
You have to use the discount minions
Calling rabbids discount minions when it's actually the other way around LUL
And yeah that's the reason, you need to have a rabbid in your team and also Mario.
Shinon kinda sucks. Hoped itd be possible after finishing the story
you can't have 3 of the regular characters together, and yet can you still use mario's ability to pull enemies in and then have Luigi attack from a safe range? That also seems kinda broken, but I haven't played the game so I can't say for certain
I'm excited for Sparks of Hope soon! :D
Not going to show how much Peach's techniques upgrade by level?
He didn't even show she shooting with her Boomshots either
Thank you for this very comprehensive guide!
This game looks really good... I just don't really like the Rabbid's style of humor.
There's actually not as much of it here as you'd think. There's still a toilet gag here or there, but not every game or movie can avoid it. They ditched most of the franchise's signature jokes for actual laughs.
Huh, might just check this out then.

That boy Ain't right Waluigi DLC

Sanic DLC? Anyone?
G Swindasz We need Toad and Rabbid Toad.
Rabbid Yoshi's biggest asset is definitely the mobility. I recall one S-chapter where he could circle the entire map in an entire turn, tackling all enemies in the process.
is this game fun for those who have never played this genre before? really thinking about getting it but im not sure
MastaShake99 It's simple enough to pick up without getting bogged down with too many complicated mechanics. I would definitely recommend it for players trying to dip their toes into tactical rpgs.
it is. I'm new to this genre and I love the game
Its a game that introduces to new T-RPGs. Also having people who played games like xcom or fire emblem still decently fun.
I don't understand how the Mario characters get a bonus to their jumps and get an over watch ability and get a boost in a certain stats, well the Rabbid characters get a boost in dashes and get a shield along with an support ability.
So Mario isn't completely crap in the mid game until he promotes *cough cough ROY*
Ephraim of Renais I don't know where that comparison came from. Promotion isn't even in this game and I wouldn't say it's that comparable to any fe game. With that being said I agree Roy's terrible.
Thank you so much JWittz I was really struggling on Spooky Trails but after watching this I'm doing much better
if this video is sponsored by ubisoft doesn't that mean this video is basically one giant ad?
Side note: Using Rabbid Mario's and Rabbid Yoshi's technique to move enemies will proc Mario characters' gaze ability. This gives you more control over who your character shoots, since enemies take their turns kind of randomly, and won't necessarily walk into your line of sight.
Idk if I should get this game honestly. It looks fine and pretty fun, but at the same time.... Rabbids. Just Rabbids.
Jacob Dutkiewicz if you played something like fire emblem, it's like that
Jacob Dutkiewicz get it lol
Jacob Dutkiewicz I understand you and i didnt really like the past Rabbids games but I really like this game.and I didn't find the Rabbids annoying.
even if the rabbids annoy you, it's a Nintendo game so most of the focus is on the really fun gameplay rather than the story. I'd say go for it if you think it looks fun
They are not too annoying in this game. Only in the opening IMO.
With all of these good sponsored videos, I'm considering actually getting this game.
So, when I get this game, My team will probably be:
Mario
Rabbid Peach
Rabbid Yoshi/Luigi
Who is better, Rabbid Yoshi or Luigi? I'm too lazy to watch the whole video.
XxAlexGamerTVxX I say luigi
XxAlexGamerTVxX Luigi is better.
luigi
*No mention of Luigi dabbing when using a sentry without cover*
0/10
When this was first announced, I doubted I was ever getting this. Now that it's out, it looks really good! Might consider getting it when I get my switch
I WANT. SOME WALUIGI AND DAISY. DLC. NOW
Thanks a ton for this! I just got the game, and I'm not particularly good at these types of strategy games, so having a guide of each characters pros and cons is helpful!
