The one hero/spark combo that basically carried me through the game was Rabbid Mario and Glitter. What's hilarious is that Glitter's effect is the same as RM's Magnet Dance from the first game, but the combo potential wasn't fully realized until this game cause Glitter's effect lasts longer and RM has a much more efficient close-range attack. I was able to solo so many "defeat all" battles with just RM+Glitter by going to a central location, using Glitter, boom-dashing a few times for good measure, and finally getting to a good location and obliterating every enemy in one go
I use glitter on rabbid Rosalinda then i make Bowser and rabbid Peach come closer to destroy any enemy standing, then if needed i put most enemy to sleep its a broken combo
That's funny, Rabbid Mario also carried me throughout the whole game as well. Except for me I used Ethering for some safe and free damage. I swear they just can't make him be anything other than op if you decide he's worth the investing

This game is so much everything about it is so much better then the first. I feel like I’m doing the opposite, cause I’ve had Mario on my team through the whole game so far (apart from the quest missions that force you to use certain characters)
Yep. My team has always been Mario, Luigi, and Rabbid Mario throughout basically the entire game, sometimes swapping Rabbid Mario for Bowser for certain circumstances.

I love the fact instead of doing what most people would do and swapping Mario out of the team and doing it like that, he basically has a null slot on the team where he has to have Mario making him only able to use 2 characters max

New characters, yeah. The only one that comes with a spark pretty sure is Edge, and that one you can upgrade it. On the rest of the sparks, you get them after the battle so sadly not for those
I don't know if you realized this, but Mario existing, even doing nothing for the first battles, means he is diverting attention, and therefore doing something that can be considered using Mario. That would make the minimum Mario uses 4, as only after the tutorial you can swap characters.
Not watching to avoid spoilers but commenting to say that I believe so. When I started the game, I instantly switched out Mario for Luigi and it’s been great! Luigi’s powerful long range attacks are incredible!
in mario kart wii, the scrapped mission mode turned into tournament mode: you had a mission and a deadline, after the deadline the mission gets replaced, you had some bosses that were fun (but one was too easy), the mode isn't playable anymore, except if you installed wiimmfi on your wii.
The most overpowered combo of a hero and a spark is Luigi and the invisibility spark because at max level you only need to protect him once every three turns
Daphne can kinda be cheesed with Rabbid Rosalina + the Ghost Spark provided you have the Ennui Dash. Rabbid Rosalima can get basically anywhere on the field by just alternating between the Spark and Ennui to make enemies unable to hit her. Once you get to Daphne's plataform, you can endlessly stunlock her with your dashes

I think it's funny that Mario is no longer required to be played in this game but is actually such a good character you feel really tempted to use him as much as possible.
Haven't even watched the full thing (and will stop once Terra flora is done because of spoilers) but I love how Peach, who sucked in the first game, is actually useful in this game Also, yes, you can swap out characters once you enter Beacon Beach. Also also, The reason the lone wolves didn't shoot at 11:10 is because you're being blocked by the ground. Since they can't shoot through stuff, like how their normal weapons work, they're forced to just waste the ability
Peach was bad in the first game? When I played Kingdom Battle earlier this year I used a team of Mario, Rabbid Luigi and Peach and she was pretty good there.
Maybe not necessarily bad but unoptimal imo, boomshot is pretty good but freeze isn't that good, burn was decent. I don't remember what Grenaduck had but pretty sure it had the same. It's also kinda weak in general. Royal gaze was ok but damage drop off made it very hit or miss, protection just helped Peach die quicker (it works way better in sparks of hope after the revamp). Pretty sure she had like 1 dash that didn't do that good damage and healing jump is situational to risk healing or using the jump to get to safety. The healing is also weak and loses to Rabbid Luigi's vamp dash (or weapons with vamp in general) and Rabbid Peach's heal.
Maybe you should try beating Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle without Mario next I think it will be harder since you are forced to have Mario on the team at all times so you will probably be using him as a meat shield again
Peach wasn't good in the first game, but I'm so glad she is so much better in this one. She definitely the second best, if not the best, because they actually decided to make protection good this time! It's amazing how such a small change made such a huge difference.
Surprisingly she is low on the list of busted characters. Only bc her main gimmick is very slow. Same with Rabbid Peach. Both are good defensively but slow. I personally just used Bowser plus 2 summons to keep my team from ever getting hit. I just threw the koopas in a large area to draw aggro

@@Froscryte Mario is very strong imo. He can shoot so many times before his turn comes up. I used him with 2 attack buffing Sparks. Bowser I can see why he is low. I do however use him as alot. I like summoning alot of things to destract and use Rosalina to stall if I need to. Either Peaches work good in the 3rd slot with the strategy I use. My team never loses hp bc of the koopas and ennui. Plus Bowser can stall alot of bosses. Too bad his dmg is so very low. My least used is Edge. I just can't get the hang of using her. I'm not entirely sure the strategy I need to implement

I just finished the game and yes, this tops Kingdom Battle as my all-time favourite game! I am seriously looking forward to the DLC! In the meantime, I'll be going back to the planets and 100%'ing them.
This is coming from a guy who's beaten the game in 3 days and going for 100% The darkmess eyes in chapter 1 is so easy if you use Rabbit Luigi, his disc hits multiple targets Midnite is SO easy to beat if you give Rabbit Rosalina Ennui dash and have it last 2 turns Chapter 3 ain't that difficult if you plan everything correctly Chapter 4 Wiggler, my Rabbit Luigi was built to hit 6 enemies at a time and sometimes more at random times, just bring one of the Peaches to keep him alive Chapter 5, a good survive team is Rabbit Peach or Princess Peach, Rabbit Rosaline, and anyone else Chapter 6, same as Chapter 2 until Cursa boss, then with final boss you just have to play smart
Lol I can tell he didn't notice that you can take mario off your team. I came to that conclusion before even clicking the video, because I already basically played the game that way. There are still times when they forced mario on the team, and that's what he could've showed work arounds for.
Honestly rabid rosalina was a crazy exploit to me like seriously dashing and giving them depression basically it made the dashable bosses like midnight and the plant girl, and the two before cursa. Vamp dash with edge was insane, rabid mario was crazy too
I was thinking about doing a No Sparks Run and seeing as doing Sparks with 2 characters is possible, I may just try it! Also, the new Rabbids feel so fresh and new.
A strat I used for both darkmess copycat fights was abusing Rabbid Mario + Rabbid Rosalina and Rabbid Luigi, both Rabbids have upgrades for their status effects where enemies affected by said status effect take increased dmg, combine this with Rabbid Mario's ability to do 1000+ dmg in one turn normally and the Glitter Spark (pulls enemies towards character) and Rabbid Mario can do a huge chunk of dmg to the darkmess copycats and kill other enemies. and having bowser/edge as well in the fight was just free spark slots, by giving them +defense and/or +attack sparks, i could boost overall rabbid mario DPS or survivability in the first round when setting everyone up in optimal positions.
Bandy, you know the BLJ in Mario 64, well the Switch version of Super Mario 3D World has a BLJ of its own which can only be done when you have a fire flower, it's very simple, you throw a fire ball in the opposite direction of your long jump while you're long jumping to make yourself face backwards.
Can we do more character challenges like Luigi or Edge? Side Note: You have to put them on the team for the whole game and can only use the other characters you have on the team. Well, aside from the tutorial and stages where they force characters in your party like Brothers in Arms.

I love how he struggled so much at bosses when all I did to beat the bosses was to attack with every character except for rabid Rosalina and then after all the attacks use the dash to apply the ennui effect and I did that until victory

I felt that pain against the 5 riptides too. Took me 6 tries to beat it on Normal mode. Couldn't imagine trying it on hard mode
Well, I cleared the 5 riptide battle on demanding mode and it took only one try. You just have to be careful.

Honestly rabid rosalina was a crazy exploit to me like seriously dashing and giving them depression basically it made the dashable bosses like midnight and the plant girl, and the two before cursa. Vamp dash with edge was insane, rabid mario was crazy too
Next should be can you beat Mario + rabbids Kingdom battle without Mario or the donkey Kong DLC but without donkey Kong
So this would actually be Mario's Friends + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope... Interesting.

A strat I used for both darkmess copycat fights was abusing Rabbid Mario + Rabbid Rosalina and Rabbid Luigi, both Rabbids have upgrades for their status effects where enemies affected by said status effect take increased dmg, combine this with Rabbid Mario's ability to do 1000+ dmg in one turn normally and the Glitter Spark (pulls enemies towards character) and Rabbid Mario can do a huge chunk of dmg to the darkmess copycats and kill other enemies.
and having bowser/edge as well in the fight was just free spark slots, by giving them +defense and/or +attack sparks, i could boost overall rabbid mario DPS or survivability in the first round when setting everyone up in optimal positions.
Bandy, you know the BLJ in Mario 64, well the Switch version of Super Mario 3D World has a BLJ of its own which can only be done when you have a fire flower, it's very simple, you throw a fire ball in the opposite direction of your long jump while you're long jumping to make yourself face backwards.

Can we do more character challenges like Luigi or Edge? Side Note: You have to put them on the team for the whole game and can only use the other characters you have on the team. Well, aside from the tutorial and stages where they force characters in your party like Brothers in Arms.

Did this man forget that mario doesn't have to be in your team like in the previous game? Luigi is a nice alternative, and regular peach is a very nice support
I love how he struggled so much at bosses when all I did to beat the bosses was to attack with every character except for rabid Rosalina and then after all the attacks use the dash to apply the ennui effect and I did that until victory
