- Hey planner pals. Today I'm sharing the DIY how to for making my skinny disc planner to go in my travellers notebook cover. This is a 8x4" disc planner on 3/4" discs. For the cover I used a download from the Happy Planner website. It's supposed to be a phone wallpaper but I printed it out and used it for a cover!

With the lovely wallet cover you're keeping it in, the sticker paper on the cover is perfect choice. Great way to make one that is tailored to your needs that you'll get the most use it of.

I’ve realized that I don’t necessarily need the “calendar” layout for a calendar.. I can just do the thing where you write 1-31, the M, T, W, etc… and then maybe highlight each Sunday to separate the weeks.
Yep. What I realized is I really only need a notebook for on the go. And honestly I barely use that.

Such a wonderful Skinny Classic Calendar Layout. I use Canva but haven't thought of using for inserts and layouts. Love your content and wish there was more for the Skinny Min & Classic. I have a DIY 8 disc one as well.

If you run them through the laminator again after cutting it will stick the edges down again
I didn't laminate it? Not sure why you think I did? I clearly stated that I did this WITHOUT laminiting and used sticker paper instead as I couldn't find my laminator lol!

The happy planner punched ones stay in better because the mushroom stalk is thinner. I had to punch my own plum paper planner because they ones they punch are more like the Tul punched ones. They didn’t stay in well.
Yes Yvetter, It's that the stalk is longer. It's not as easy to flip the pages out IMO compared to TUL

How did this DIY planner hold up with the sticker paper? I tried to search your channel to see if there was an update but there's a lot of videos 😁 I'm new to the channel so that means I'll be binging a lot though!
I haven't done an update (yet!) Veronica as I barely used this planner. I have plans to just turn it into a skinny happy notes for daily pages. I just don't think I need an 'on the go" planner or notebook. I don't go anywhere really. And definitely didn't this year as I spent weeks rehabbing a broken kneecap! Ugh! I do plan on doing an update on this soon. All things considered the sticker paper held up ok. I just personally don't like the feel of it. I'd much prefer a laminated cover.

Not sure where its from it was a gift
If you tuck the cover (front or back, as you like, I did front based on usually writing on the right hand sheet) thru the strings, it centers better and fits better in the cover, and the strings sit against the discs. I have a travelers cover I'm using with a mini happy planner that way, and it works just fine!
