Medium and Large friends! I am between a medium and large top (closer to large) and I added one extra row coming off the web, where she did 7 (so 8 rows). Then added a few extra sc rows to the bottom and to the sides (where we straightened it out with the sc’s). You can add more rows to increase the coverage 🎃
I wish I read this before I started mine! I left the web as is, and added a sc row around the web. Then I added more rows on the chevron part to have it extend more.
This was the second thing I ever made, after a very rough-looking beanie. Super easy to follow along. I was able to make it in black, white, and dark purple stripes. Perfect for spooky season. Thank you for having this up and out there for all of us just getting started!
I have ADHD and I normally get bored of doing a specific project if it seems too difficult or it's not broken down a bit, I finished this in about 5 day (with me getting distracted or forgetting about it) and how you were showing things and explaining it made it really easy! Thank you! 💛
When you do the first row after making the spider web, make sure to count how many stitches are on either side of your stitch marker and make sure it's the same number. I didn't and had to start over
Literally going to make this today because its the best one I have ever seen. Its hard finding more halloween tops! I hope you make more!!! Thank you! If you make more, may I suggest something with a bat?! I would absolutely go crazy for that lol thanks for this!!!
So for my plus size ladies she did explain how to make it larger for your body like this comment if youd be interested in a video where i further explain how to make the top adjust to your body
I made this and I'm obsessed! It came together so quickly and easily and it looks so cute! Im like a 1x and was able to just do 1 additional round on the web and kept going down with the initial rows until I liked the length of it on myself like you suggested. Can't wait to wear it out. Thanks for this!

absolutely gorgeous pattern! i almost got it all finished in one sitting! i’m making it in all black for my goth friend. and also adding some ribbing to the bottom using another one of your tutorials. thank you so much for sharing!🖤
Hi! I love this top but it was a little to revealing for me so I did 5 rows for the spider instead of 6 and added another row to the part when you did 7, I hope this helps!❤
I dislike bigly the magic circle. I've found that if I just untie my slip knot and pull, it does the same thing. I am going to attempt this top for my witchy goths daughter. She's gonna love it! Thanks for the tut!
Ok easily the coolest thing you've ever made! I'd like to see more themed designs like this. Also that magic circle thing is a cool new trick. Also also, really glad you brought back the modeling portion again. Did I mention how cool this top is?
LOL Heavens. Does nobody read the comments anymore? I've seen the same two questions asked about a hundred times...even though it was answered several times. Lawdy, your patience is long. The yarn is cotton worsted weight 4 and the strap is 50-60 inches...also, to make it bigger, add more rows. I sure hope you have the written pattern up in your Etsy shop by now so ppl will stop asking for that too, lol. This is really cute. My daughter made one (don't know if she saw your video or another one (there are a few in the suggestions) and showed it to me. Also, so far you are the only person I've seen that does the magic circle like I do, lol! I can't do it any other way.
I’m making my orders for this top based on people’s measurements so there is no set amount of rows for sizing, sorry!! Also I don’t count my chains for straps I just make them however long is needed.
I loved this video! I made it as my first top, i found the comment about the straps too for 50 to 60 inches and i did mine 55in, there was loads left over and im quite a small waisted girl so id say less if you are too!(maybe 45) Im going to make another for my friend today :)
I accidentally royally fucked up the spider wed, so i cut some of the top bits and tied off the loose ends- also for each of the straps i did about 170 chains for around 50 inches, despite this and a poor color choice it looks great! Amazing pattern.
i love this pattern i just made it today, red base with a white web it fits perfectly but i will definetely be blocking it before actually wearing it, but anyways thanks for the pattern its great! (btw for anyone wondering for the size in the video i did my straps 50 inches)
I love this design, I've been hooked on your tutorials and I have made quite a few of your tops this week (six after i counted lol) 💖 im going to try and to the color change with this one today 😁
Hey so if i wanted to make it longer to be a regular top not too much a crop, do i just add multiple lines to make it long? Im very self conscious of my scars on my back so i want to be able to wear and not feel self conscious about my back showing
dear kelsie, i was hoping that you would mention the different sizes measurements in the description like you usually do. I'm sooo excited to try this one but I have no idea how to make it a size medium instead 🥲
Is there a length in inches or at least a number of chain stitches for the straps so that we know how long they have to be to be laced through to cross the back as many time as they are meant to be?
I am currently attempting to make this for myself for halloween in slime green, white, and black. For a certain🪲🧃 pattern. I am a 40DD. So we shall see if it fits. If not, I'll give it to my girlfriend as part of a boo basket. I made web up to 13 db and am probably going to make it 12 rows deep for the length.
For my plus size/big chested girlies, i am a size large and 38DD, i did 12 rows before completing the sides and it fit like a glove! :) hope that helps anyone
I can't believe how quick and easy this is! I just so happened to have orange and purple in lily sugar n' cream and it looks amazing, I made the web purple and I'm doing orange and purple stripes.
I'm at the weaving in ends stage and I regret everything! 😭 It took me 2 hours to weave in the ends for one half of the top. My teeth are killing me cuz I have to use my teeth to pull the needle through!
I finished it, it looks amazing! I need to play around with the lacing though cuz it's not quite fitting right. I made a long top that goes to the top of my high waisted jeans.
I didnt wanted a crop top so a made it longer , the same aplies for medium or plus size ,you just have to measure how long do you want it ,just stand up and put the top in your body and thats it 😅 for mine i made 14 rows and it reached my hip
This is so cool, I've been looking for more spooky crochet patterns! Would it be possible to add more rows to turn this into a full tank top? If so, would I do that at the beginning closer to the web, or would I just extend the bottom?
If I’m doing one color on each side how do I start the second row if I’m going to leave to double crochets on the road that I stopped before the five double crochets in one
I thought it was just me, but it seems like she just glossed over this whole part. Like, okay just chain the straps, feed it through the holes, tie it and you're done.... wait what?
So double crotchet Double crotchet 11 Double crotchet 1 Double crotchet 11 Double crotchet 5 Double crotchet 11 Double crotchet 1 Or each 1 is suppose to be five in starting and n the web
8:24 is that adult size small? I’m 13 rn so idk how I’m going to do this exactly because I don’t want it to be too big because then I can’t wear it out to school
My sister and I are going to be tim burton characters for Halloween this year, and I'm crocheting my outfit!! I'm making this top in black and white, and then I'm going to make a white skirt with black stitching on it!! I'm going to post about it on my youtube soon, so go check it out if you're interested!!! BTW, thank you for the tutorial!! I finally found someone who doesn't take like 10 minutes to explain one row!!🤍🖤🤍🖤🤍🖤🤍
I bought the pdf and for the web you put chain 11 for round 5 and for round 6. I’m assuming round 6 is actually chain 13, 2 for the double crochet and then chain 11. Is that correct
Are you chaining 3 at the beginning of the rows once you get past the web section? You did 2 for the web but I’m used to doing 3 before turning when working in double crochet. Wanted to clarify before I get too far into it 😅
5:56 Hey! So I've checked back a few times and you mentioned you have 6 rows for the spider web and that the last one would only need 11 loops between each double crochet. I'm using the same size hook and the same yarn (lily's sugar and cream, same size, cone). I need 13 loops between each chain to get there. I counted yours in the video on your 6th row, and you indeed do only have 11 loops. Would this affect anything else in the pattern to bave 13 loops instead of 11? How should I adjust this if it does?
Update: I redid it and found out I was accidentally using a 4.5mm hook instead of 4mm, redoing it with a 4mm worked for anyone else who might of run into the same issue
Amazing pattern! Wearing it to a witches luncheon this Friday and I'm so excited =) I do have a question I need to ask: What are the songs you're playing? I love this vibe !
For my orders with bigger cup sizes I keep the spider web the same size and just add more rows to the bottom making it longer. But if you want to add another round on the spider web just go up to 13 chains :) I hope that helped
@@simplesasherr i made the top it took a few tries but i didn't count my turning chain as a dc and it turned put beautifully! The black yarn makes it hard to see but the top is so cute when you figure it out!

When you do the first row after making the spider web, make sure to count how many stitches are on either side of your stitch marker and make sure it's the same number. I didn't and had to start over
fell into the same trap and saw this comment too late :( I'm too far into the project now to back out. I'll try to salvage what I can
I also fell into the same trap i had to undo 8 rows on one side 7 on the other and the 7 in the middle. Sometimes crochet isn't that calming you know?
