Thanks so much for this pattern! This was my very first crochet project and it turned out amazing! The instructions were super easy to follow and it was really fun to make. Thanks 🙏
Just finished this and im soooo proud of myself! This video was amazing, i love that you teach it so simple i had no problem understanding at all! You're a great teacher, i'll watch and try to do more of your tutorials. One thing i realize after doing this piece: -The yarn i used was 265 m long (100gr, 3,5 recommended hook) but i couldnt make the second strap long enough. The first strap was a bit longer so i joined the two of them together and it looks nothing different than the one shown in the video. You just cant adjust it (make it looser or tighter). So i recommend using at least 300m yarn IF YOU'RE MAKING MEDIUM AND ABOVE SIZE
Stephanie - I have made 4 pair of your house slippers, and am on my 5th. I just LOVE the pattern, it's so easy to crochet, and once I found the perfect number of rounds for my foot, I was off and running. I'm very excited to now crochet this cute top. Your tutorials are amazing, and so easy to follow. Many thanks!
Thank you so so much 🥰 i love your patterns and i love the fact that you are talking while doing this tutorial 🥰 hope you can make a tutorial on how to crochet a short 🥰 or a skirt or a puff dress or puff sleeves.. you teach so well and is very understandable 🥰 thank you so much!
I love your tutorials, they are the best on you tube, could you do one for a normal strap instead of a tie at the back please, as i cant fasten it on my own :(
this was the first clothing item i ever crocheted and the tutorial was amazing! It looks great But i sadly made it too big because I didnt understand the square measurements at the beginning. I will come back to this to make a correctly sized one once i am not as sad about it
While the over all pattern was very easy to follow, I think the cup pattern was a bit werid in the measurements and I ended up just doing the triangle method
Hi Stephanie, love your voice, it's nice to listen to. I tried this today but my cups remain flat. Could this be because when I extend the square, I use 2 stitches in the corner for every round? I don't understand I you did this one round or all the rounds until you were done.
Hi, I love it! This is a wonderful tutorial, thank you so much! QUESTION: When you're holding the 2 strands of a #2 yarn together does that make it a size #3 or #4 yarn? I'm trying to figure out what yarn size to use. I'm so glad you're back.
@@StephanieZed Thanks for your reply. If I want to use a #4 size yarn how do I adjust pattern? Do I go down a hook size or cup size? I need some guidance. Thanks.
Wonderful instructions! Thank you so much for this pattern. I wonder why everyone seems to use a worsted wt. yarn or maybe DK for a bra or halter top. I have lots of "Twister" yarn from Hobbii. Love their cotton yarns! I am going to try to make this Bralette top with one strand of Twister, or maybe the Hobbii Egyptian cotton yarn. Have you every tried a lighter weight yarn (say sport wt.) for this top? Thanks again. I just subscribed.
I have made this with one strand of Hobbii baby cotton Egyptian and it turned out so nice and soft. The stitches were quite small, but it made the cups really nice. (less gaps).
Hello, just à quick question .. i m usually between S & M so I picked M sizing. I tried the triangle part alone on my boob and.. well it is too small.. is it goinfre to be diffèrent once finished.. or do you recommend a way to arrange it ? Am i the only one concerned ? Thanks 😊
At 14:50 you will do the pattern on the bottom just under the cups. Then you add side support. Each row is single crochet. This will give support on the sides. Also consider sewing in some cups. I hope that helps. 😊
Twister is very thin…probably a size 1 yarn. Would you say that doubling it makes it makes a DK/size 3? In other words, you could substitute DK/size 3 yarn? Or would you sub size 2 yarn instead?
Hi! Thank you so much for this tutorial ! I have wanted to make crochet clothes for a while now. I had one question though, mine is refusing to unfold and it is curling up on itself. Is there a way I can fix this?
Everyone is different. So I didn’t put a specific size. The S,M,L and XL are close to A,B,C,D. But because all yarns are different and tensions, you have to see how it fits you best. 😃 I wanted to go by inches and cm rather than stitch count. That way it can easily be made to fit. 😃
I'm starting this today but as a beginner I'm a bit confused about the rows of the square of the cup. Does S = 13 rows include the first chain of stiches?
@@StephanieZed Thank you Stephanie. After I sent that question I saw someone else had asked and answered the same thing. Sorry about that🙄 I’m making the top now. So far so good. It’s coming out super cute. Thanks for the darling pattern and awesome instructions. Have a wonderful day!
If you are doing the larger, so the side has more coverage, just do single crochet stitches with a chain 1 turn. At 14:59 I show you where to start your single crochet.
I made one in XL and I have a problem that when I wear it, it looks like I have really pointy nipples because the cups are pointy. Is there any way to fix this? I followed the tutorial and I don't know why it does that.
I am not sure. Maybe the yarn. I can only suggest if you make another one to try 3 sc in the corner stitch. Or maybe sew in a cup to keep it rounder. 🧐
@@StephanieZed I used the same yarn you used so that shouldn't be the problem. I think I will have to try and block it somehow because sadly I can't wear the top like this and I would be to sad to have wasted so much time 😭
Easy to follow, but I did not like how the "nipple" part looked. Not smooth at all. And very pointy. I am a size a, but it was a bit too big. Do you have a trick to fix the pointy nipple part?😊
Stephanie... as far as " Support " goes with these different ways of making cups Can you possibly tell me which style of cup offers the best support . Thank you
I think this one would. Just a tighter weave. And there are more stitches underneath. I wish I could say for sure. I have seen pictures of my other style of someone that was EE. ANd it looked great on her. This style I have seen in a C and it looked awesome.
@@StephanieZed Thank you so much for getting back to me 😀 Your tutorials are so easy to follow. I made your other crop top for a friend and she loved it ! ❤ This one will be for me... hopefully 👍
You could probably make one in 3-4 days? A few hours each day? The long straps take a while, great to do while watching tv. 😊Depending on your yarn, tension etc. it could take anywhere from 150g - 250g of yarn. I like the one I made of all different colours as well.
@@StephanieZed a month later and I’m finished! Your instructions were so clear and made sure the project was never daunting or stressful despite my running out of wool and not having the sleeve for my white wool. Probably the worst colour to try and match because you can really tell when something is a different white haha. I did a large so the plunging v was so low I decided to just use some wool to sew the middle of the two cups together a bit before I did the border and trim and you cant tell at all it just looks like it was crocheted that way. I’m so happy. I finished it the day before my birthday so a great present to myself haha! Thanks for the video ❤
I just started the video and im so glad she put the stitch and row count for everything 🩷🩷🩷🩷

Try putting 3 sc in the corner. This is just for 1 row. Maybe that will shape it better.

I would say this particular yarn seemed to be more like a 3 when I put it together. 😃It ended up being a nice soft weight.
@@StephanieZed Thanks for your reply. If I want to use a #4 size yarn how do I adjust pattern? Do I go down a hook size or cup size? I need some guidance. Thanks.
Measure by inches not stitch count and it should work out.

At 14:50 you will do the pattern on the bottom just under the cups. Then you add side support. Each row is single crochet. This will give support on the sides. Also consider sewing in some cups. I hope that helps. 😊
Do the strap lengths for the tops differ depending on size? Amazing video, clear instructions I just won't wanna do it wrong 😰
They really don’t change, but if you are making for a wider/broader chest, you could make longer.
Twister is very thin…probably a size 1 yarn. Would you say that doubling it makes it makes a DK/size 3? In other words, you could substitute DK/size 3 yarn? Or would you sub size 2 yarn instead?
I would say 3.
Hi! Thank you so much for this tutorial ! I have wanted to make crochet clothes for a while now. I had one question though, mine is refusing to unfold and it is curling up on itself. Is there a way I can fix this?
If the cups are curling, that will happen. Once you start getting it together, it will take some shape.
You have the different size squares but what measurements are you using to figure out what size you need?
Everyone is different. So I didn’t put a specific size. The S,M,L and XL are close to A,B,C,D.
But because all yarns are different and tensions, you have to see how it fits you best. 😃 I wanted to go by inches and cm rather than stitch count. That way it can easily be made to fit. 😃

It does not include the chain.
love this pattern but have a question on the large how long did you make the extra width thanks
You can make the sides as long as you need them to be to fit your width.
Hi...if I cant find the cotton acrylic blend yarn would it work with plain acrylic yarn in weight #3?
Yes. It will work. 😃
@@StephanieZed Thank u so much
Hello! Can I use 1 strand of number 4 weight yarn instead of two strands of 2 weight? Is that approximately the same thing?
Yes, of course. 😊😃

If I use a 4 ply yarn how many stitches I use for small to xl
Go by the size not the amount of stitches.
Question? I have a doubt that how do we single crochet the both sides like you said in 28:11
If you are doing the larger, so the side has more coverage, just do single crochet stitches with a chain 1 turn.
At 14:59 I show you where to start your single crochet.
@@StephanieZed Got it. Thank you so much. ❤

Easy to follow, but I did not like how the "nipple" part looked. Not smooth at all. And very pointy. I am a size a, but it was a bit too big. Do you have a trick to fix the pointy nipple part?😊

How do you do that 3stitches in the corner at 28:30. I really don’t get it
3 sc all in the corner stitch.
How do you weave the ends on the two shoulder straps? 🤍
I just weave it back into the strap. 😃
Is it normal for the cup to be really pointed? I’m doing everything it says but it still looks weird to me
