My Rottie used to do similar. He would always bring the clippers back to me and set them either on my lap or next to my leg. Though I never played dead, because it panicked him and he would run around to find someone to help me. Did it once, and never again. Though he would also fetch my inhaler before I even felt an asthma attack coming on. He was an amazing boy and I miss him every day.
Yeah and people don't understand dogs language, so they think they act like beautiful cutie pie humans. They should take home only a type of dog: the stuffed ones.
@@Cookies_1900 it's true, it Is Not aggression, because if it was, he wouldn't have his head on his shoulders anymore 😂. It's just DOMINANCE. So, it will happen sooner or later that dog will bite. And no, the sounds from Rotties are not like these ones.
I have to agree, tho i’ve seen this guy do the same thing for about 2 years now. Think it’s just this doggy. I don’t believe he’s ever actually attacked him.
Yeah that lunge would be a no go and i would train that out. This dude just doesn't care if his dog has manners most would consider bad. I did note on the lunge the dog wasnt growling into his face, looked above the face while on top voicing his displeasure.
In the very first seconds of the video you see him pulling the paw of the dog. For me that does not mean that this is okay. It shows the dog confusing behaviour. If he interprets this as an order to always come on his owners lap when he is upset who knows what he will do next time. It's an animal and the owner can be glad that his dog seems to see him as family.

Nah, ur wrong. I Know some rotties with GOOD owners and they NEVER show teeth. They are indeed vocal, but not showing teeth. That is a stressed out dog , it only takes one day to choose violence instead of growling
Vocal my ass!! One thing is being vocal and the other is scared, stressed out and aggressive because of the stress. I’d muzzle him while doing this. When you have to play dead to avoid an attack…NOPE! Best can clip his own nails.
Agreed. Looks like the owner was lowkey startled when the dog had the higher advantage. The human is submissive while the dog is dominant. Very dangerous.
I like how he makes all that seemingly scary ruckus and then just ends of giving him his paw without being asked and then continues to throw a tantrum lol
This is common with Rotties. He didn't attack at the beginning he was excited and playing dead is to get him to disengage and calm down. My Rottie Lily used to do this when we clipped her nails, washed her and loved on her.
Yea that’s exactly what he’s doing. Bear may not enjoy it but he knows who his masters are. All he’s doing is voicing his dissatisfaction with getting his nails clipped
Yeah i think for a lot of Rottweilers they communicate by growling rather than howling. I knew one that growled even when it was excited for a treat or to go on a walk. Freaking weird., but still good dogs.
Rotti's are VERY expressive and vocal. He probably has zero issue with the clipper, he just likes to talk. Think of it like a good friend giving you crap. There's zero aggression. I also see the other side though, I had a dog charge me with teeth bared only to later find out it was just the dogs way of smiling and being happy to see a new person. Scared the crap out of me at first though lol.

@@beburs it’s not even that type of situation to begin with, the fact that the dog is engaging in wanting to bring the mail clippers back shows that the dog wasn’t being hostile from the beginning
About twenty years ago I was a volunteer at the animal ambulance. Rottweilers were involved in almost all biting incidents, one of which was fatal. During that time, four years, I became convinced that a Rottweiler is absolutely not suitable as a pet. Any other dog such as Doberman, Bull, German Shepherd and Malinois without a problem.
It's not the dog, it's the trainer, lack of training, abuse, or neglect that makes dogs violent. Domestic dogs are usually a reflection of their owners ability to properly train and care for them.

Yeah that lunge would be a no go and i would train that out. This dude just doesn't care if his dog has manners most would consider bad. I did note on the lunge the dog wasnt growling into his face, looked above the face while on top voicing his displeasure.
Yea, the dog gave him the clippers back and sat there even gave him his paw to finish. There's no hostility there. They just have that bond it seems
He didn't lunge owner pulled the dog onto his lap
In the very first seconds of the video you see him pulling the paw of the dog. For me that does not mean that this is okay. It shows the dog confusing behaviour. If he interprets this as an order to always come on his owners lap when he is upset who knows what he will do next time. It's an animal and the owner can be glad that his dog seems to see him as family.
