Massive objection to ads, like any sane human being has them. The fact that they do not provide a timestamp so I can skip said add makes it even worse.
A crap ad *built into* the podcast at the opening?!? Please let this be a one-off editorial blunder! This podcast is normally far above such pandering detritus
@@mc-zy7ju no I have been listening every day since the start of the war, and this is first time there ever is an AD before. I have youtube premium, so it shouldn't happen.

Great Podcast, the team wins, with so much going on politically and militarily. Long live the memories and team brought together by David, for the people and nation of Ukraine long live a united and whole Ukraine.
The format has really fallen apart without David. Maybe Francis and Dom are a better combination but this episode was two blokes chatting about their opinions.
At least intro the ads, anyone coming to the podcast to fresh eyes will immediately u-turn when they hear 2.5 minutes of ads and assume all the content is marketing tripe.
There is no scenario where Ukraine recovers its territory using only its own forces. Any victory plan that isn’t merely rhetorical requires Western forces in combat roles.
"The loss of Vuhledar would be not only a morale blow for Ukraine since this city has resisted plenty of assaults since 2022, but also a very serious development that can potentially threaten the security of the entire southwestern portion of Donetsk Oblast not yet liberated, along with the threat to Pokrovsk's southern flank," Federico Borsari, a fellow at the Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA), told the Kyiv Independent.
First time there has been 2:30 of ads at the start… I understand if cash is needed, but please put it after the intro so at least we know we didn’t get into some weird other podcast than we were expecting
Meanwhile ISW stated quite authoritatively that Vugledar lost its strategic importance tonight and the same fate awaits Pokrovsk, Dnipro, Kiev and Lviv.
I suspect President Zelenskyy is correct and I didn't require him to say so. By now it's more than obvious what putin is capable of to all but the most cynical or simple.
I'd be happy paying $3-5/month to keep this podcast ad-free. I'm not about to subscribe to the Telegraph itself, but this podcast has been a vital information oasis amid the debris of the Russian invasion. If others feel the same way please chime in...
Agreed. Really tacky start to the pod. Extremely disappointing, and it very much cheapens all the tremendous work that David and the others have so far put in to this vital pod.
The point about Serbia and perceptions was well made. We have seen this before, for example in Central Europe as democracies began to fall, small nations in the Balkans, faced with Communist Soviet Union and Fascist Germany, were obliged to bend their foreign policies to accommodate the realiies. Sweden did something similar when their neutrality was pressed by the Germans. When the democratic coalition shows itself to be weak and vacillating, it provides impetus for otherwise neutral nations to reconsider their choices in a dangerous world.
Last time I listen to this…. Cmon what crapy reads are these. Not fitting the mod and target group. Have reads done by your own people… There is enough content to choose from.
Don't all modern luxury cars all have remote shut off as an anti-theft measure? Why are luxury cars being driven into Russia from surrounding countries not automatically bricked when they enter Russia? I'm asking because Kadyrov's cybertruck got that treatment when it went viral. Why does it have to go viral before being bricked instead of just relying on the built in GPS to tell automakers that their cars are in Russian territory?
Am confused...at one time he says he has a peace plan and then turns around 360 and he says he has a victory plan. What should we take? Tell Zelensky we are tired of victory ambiguity

Russia's international reserves as of September 20, 2024, amounted to $625.2 bln, having increased by $8.2 bln in a week, according to the Bank of Russia. "International reserves as of the end of the day on September 20, 2024 amounted to $625.2 bln, increasing over the week by $8.2 bln, or 1.3%, mainly due to positive revaluation," the regulator's materials note. As of September 13, the volume of reserves amounted to $617 bln. Russia’s international reserves are highly liquid foreign assets available with the Bank of Russia and the Russian government. They comprise foreign currency, Special Drawing Rights (SDRs), a reserve position in the International Monetary Fund and monetary gold. Following the onset of Moscow’s special military operation in Ukraine Western countries slapped sanctions against the Bank of Russia. Apart from freezing Russia’s gold and foreign currency reserves, all transactions related to management of the regulator’s reserves and assets, as well as transactions with any legal entity, organization or body acting on behalf or at the direction of the Central Bank, were prohibited.
I like the podcast but the ad at the beginning was both unexpected and annoying. Despite the quality of your reporting if that becomes a habit I'm going elsewhere for my news. Ad creep infiltrating EVERYTHING is completely offensive and needs to be stamped out.
