Great reaction! Loved Daphne's reaction to seeing the Duke at the fights 😂 she couldn't keep her eyes off him. Simon was soo jealous seeing her with the prince. The prince is a nice guy, but Simon is HOT! A day with the prince would be nice and boring. A day with the Duke would be exciting and passionate. Poor Simon thinks he's not good enough for Daphne. You are in store for a ride in the next couple of episodes. A ride that could only happen with our Duke. Hang on😂
I've had to hold this spoiler back. Lady Featherignton was in a very difficult situation. At the beginning, her husband did not seem to be interested in what was going on with his family. There was a hint of the real problem in the first episode when he told a group of men that they would be paid "tomorrow." In this episode, we see and Lady Featherington finds out how truly bad the situation really it. This family situation is juxtapositioned with the Bridgertons who are a loving and supportive family.
The Daphne and Colin scene in the book was 10 times better than in the TV show, because in the book, Daphne confesses to Colin that she loves the Duke and knows that he would never shoot Anthony, which means she knows the Duke will die if she doesn't stop the duel. I don't agree that we don't know Colin's perspective because remember that he met Marina even before Daphne and Simon met and he has had the hots for her since the first time he saw her. The TV show does end this episode too abruptly. In the book, when Daphne announced that the Duke and I will be married, the Duke asked her, I thought you said you want to raise a family, to which Daphne said, I do want to have kids but being married to you without kids is worth it for me.
Steph, I love your voice but the difference in volume between the dialogue in the show and your microphone is too great. The show volume is too soft/low and yours is just a touch too loud. Or, maybe just the show is too low, only. But I can't hear the show without earphones but then your voice comes through a little too intense. Could you change your levels a little?
