In all the interviews. Rege Jean Page and Phoebe Dynevor (Simon and Daphne) spoke about their “intimacy coach” who helped with those scenes. If you get a chance, watch some of those !
I watched this season, then Queen Charlotte, and just finished season 2 of Bridgerton. I highly recommend that order. It help understand the Queen. By the way, George III was insane. That last sex seen would make a great for a sex education class.
I don’t know what it is exactly but I can see myself watching Queen Charlotte but with season 2 of Bridgerton… Antony kind of annoys me and I believe he’s the main draw in that season.
@@cinemawithstephjust watch season 2. Anthony is annoying but trust me he’s a lovable idiot with lots of trauma. It’s so good. The chemistry is just insane
Oh my, are you blushing? 😊 Love their wedding night. Simon was so gentle and loving with her as it's her first time, and her mother told her NOTHING! Can you imagine if she had to marry Burbrook ? Excuse me a moment while I get sick🤮. These two are so much in love, so as someone else posted, BUCKLE UP!!! the Duke is gonna , well ....😍
I love your reaction. You are such a hopeless romantic. Sorry for the long post. Daphne wouldn't want to tell her mom because she wouldn't want to admit that she trapped the Duke into marriage. In the book, Daphne lured Simon into the garden because she knew he would follow her, so it's unfair to say that Simon initiated a kiss without acknowledging that after Simon apologized, Daphne threw herself at him. Daphne could have accepted the Duke's apology and moved on with her life, but this is why the Marina storyline is so fascinating, because if Anthony had not caught his sister with the Duke, Daphne could have easily been in the same situation as Marina, pregnant and unmarried, or pregnant but about to marry another man, the Prince. 5:39 I don't see this the way you see it. Daphne going into the gardens is what started everything, and when she kissed Simon after he apologized, that led to Anthony discovering them together, which almost led to Simon being killed, but the audience always favors the perspective of the character that they root for, even when that character is in the wrong. 11:25 Simon's reaction is fake drama and makes no logical sense. I thought the Duke was supposed to be a rake (a playboy). How could he be so ignorant about women? 11:44 Your comment about Marina being a terrible person is why I didn't like the writing of the black characters in this show. Except for Lady Danbury, they all turn into villains that the audience roots against. 17:47 Marina said to Colin that they shouldn't be alone together, pointing back to Daphne luring the Duke into the gardens. 20:56 Believe it or not, I had never read fiction before, but after I saw this episode, I just had to buy the book, because I refused to believe that the book was as badly written as this TV episode. Why would Simon say that he trapped Daphne into marriage, when his character had spent 20 years promising himself that he would never get married? After reading the book, the answer is, the showrunner wanted Simon to look bad, and they wanted Daphne to look blameless. When this book was written with white characters in mind, both characters had their faults, but when it was produced with black actors in mind, the white characters looked blameless and the black characters looked like villains. 30:55 Technically, Anthony Bridgerton is a viscount and Mr. Featherton is a Baron. That's the difference between being really, really rich, and really rich. They both live in the same neighborhood and get invited to the same parties. The TV show made Marina seem like she was ghetto, and she was not from a rich family, but birds of a feather flock together, so there is absolutely no way that Marina would be invited to any of these balls, if she were not of the same social class as the Bridgertons. In the book, Marina is a cousin of the Bridgertons, and she does not get pregnant out of wedlock, but because she is being played by a black actress ...
For what it's worth, I didn't think this story line made Simon look bad at all. I found him to be a very compelling character, and his focus on honoring his word to his father was noble in itself, even though I agree that he should move on and allow himself to be happy with Daphne. Even him saying he tricked her into marriage... I didn't take that to mean he had actually tricked her and he was to blame. Just because a character says (or even thinks) something, that doesn't mean that's really the way it is. The audience can read between the lines. I simply took it as a further sign of his honor- holding himself accountable for the kiss (though she did kiss him back the second time, he was still involved) and loving her so much he didn't want to force her into a marriage he thought she didn't want. He came across as a very noble, upstanding, and loving gentleman to me... certainly more honorable than Anthony ever was. Also, his friend Will and his wife are my favorite example of a loving, equal marriage in the entire show... and Queen Charlotte's story is quite beautiful and compelling too. Actually, the only black character I see as a villain was his father. But I digress... this is just my opinion
Just found your channel...enjoying your Bridgerton reactions! I would imagine filming yourself watching the sex scene is the equivalent of watching it with your parents! Hahahahaha!!! Keep the reactions coming and can't wait to watch more of your movie reactions! Liked and Subscribed!!!
The queen does care if he dies. She’s also a complex character with many layers. And a pompous Royal who doesn’t show emotions very well

Thank you for making adjustments to volume levels so we can hear the show a bit better. Good!
I’m glad to hear it’s better! I know it still needs work, just trying to figure out how 😅
