In the military, you get over modesty and concern about nudity pretty quickly. It's not sexual if you don't make it sexual. Neagley and Reacher served together in a unit so they got over that a long time ago.
@@jeremylarson6267 Yes. In today's military. You know who screams and cries about gays in the military, trans people, lesbians... people NOT in the military. Because let me tell you from someone that sat in a foxhole in Iraq with another person being told "kill whatever comes over that hill"... you don't CARE if that person is a man or woman, gay or straight, dresses in mens clothes or womens clothes... ALL you care about is that they are competent, have your back, and won't freak out when you need them the most. That's it. Once that is established, the rest just happens; the cohesiveness, trust, bonding, and not worrying if you have to strip down to skivvies in front of each other.
I think the nudity served a specific purpose. Their comfort with each other is probably related to their service together. You get over modesty pretty quickly in the kind of environment they both worked. Neagley does not like being touched. I think a fair assumption based on how she says it, her interpersonal reactions, and her reaction in the strip club is that she has experienced sexual trauma. So, the fact that she would get naked along with Reacher is a comment on her level of trust in Reacher.
@@D0CI87PC I haven't read all of the books, much less would remember every detail even if I had. But Neagly does in fact have a very hard time with being touched and it is alluded to that it was some sort of negative experience in her life. This was indeed shown in the episode with the strip club and her statement to the man about women not wanting to be touched. So your interpretation isn't wrong, just that the reason for it is left ambiguous in the episode, maybe even in the books, but again, that I don't know, only that in season 2, we MIGHT get more on that given the book it is based upon.
They were never anything in the past. Due to some past trauma, Neagley HAAATES being touched. I'm pretty sure she's celibate, and may even be a virgin, at least as far as willing sex goes. It's never specified in the books exactly why she is that way, Reacher has never asked, he doesn't think it's his business.
Neagley's issue, from the books, was alluded to an incident involving a commanding officer who went unpunished. While the incident content is not mentioned we can guess what it was. Neagley and Reacher are basically brothers in arms, or more like brother and sister in arms.
In case you haven't noticed, Reacher's military girlfriend doesn't touch anyone. That's why she doesn't shake Reacher's hand in farewell. So she has a psychological problem in that regard. Therefore, it is highly doubtful that they ever had anything intimate. Undressing in front of each other clearly shows that there is no sexual interest. They see each other as absolutely equal, and they do so in the very foundations. Simply put, in Reacher's world, she's a guy. In addition, this is an absolute habit due to the military missions they had together. There is no time for shame. These are simply comrades who can rely on each other 100 percent, even naked. Absolutely professional handling with the greatest possible trust.

Hello my favorite Reacher reactor, the very smart and assertive Steph. Sorry l am 3 days later to this reaction.
As they told you already Neagley hate being touched by anyone. They don't explain why. She goes continue appearing in some of the other books of the series. She can hold her ground and fight anyone just like Reacher. She was his assistant on the military. He always respect her and she appreciated it, they became best friends, nothing else.
She is the only one from season 1 coming into season 2 with Reacher. She by herself is also an interesting character.
You could make a reaction video to the trailer of Reacher season 2.
Hey gorgeous
Hello, hello!
