would argue with that, my 1st 3 attempts were total fail, yes but on 4th i've managed to create very happy over 11k city and that gives you basics to build more and better

This is such a pain in the ass, they will never compete with steam if they don't do something about this, the most annoying thing is that you will have to manually check for updates for each of the mods you are using, and manually delete the old asset to install the new one, thanks for the tutorial anyways, liked 👍
I agree. Epic has an awesome free incentive system but their mod support is not with it. Until then I will be using steam for a majority of mods just as most people. But for those without an option hopefully this vod helps.

As sorry as I am to say this, it also makes me infuriatingly angry as well. WE have come to a point in time where "Player Generated Content" is now a formality, and is being re-labeled as company property. To those who are reading this, I think you know by now, but the site has shut down service, and will no longer be supporting the download of steam workshops mods, after being told by Valve to not do so anymore. It's a real shame in this day and age, where player generated content can't exist within the seams or beyond the bounds of platforms. Player generated content should always be for the people, by the people. Mod makers should at least have the option(with which I think they would choose the latter) to restrict their content to a platform, or allow it to cross platforms. Due to the increasing popularity of the website(if this is in anyway my fault, I do apologize, I simply believe in making everything accessible for all player bases, no matter how many hoops they have to jump through.), they have seen fit to shut it down. I know this is sad to all you epic games mod users, and there are not a lot of other options out there. Even other options that were working prior, have been no longer working, because they use the same API as steamworkshopdownloader, and the only current option I know of, after reading extensively, is SteamCMD. I don't know how to work this program, or if it even works, or if you have to download the game in steam to be able to even use it off platform.
Until we get off steams' teets, small awesome communities like this will keep being shut down, only to be forced back onto the monolithic programs that rule the world. Not saying epic is any better, but you get my point. If you're curious as to what exactly happened, then read their full statement released over on their reddit, which can be linked to from their website. If I get the time, I'll try exploring other options the epic player base has, and trying to reupload. I never expected this video to get this many views or likes, or be helpful to so many people -- to people who just wanted to play a free game, with mods from different userbases. My next idea was to get vortex and NMM working, and see if it can work with the epic games version of cities skylines, but we'll see what happens. Good luck everyone, Mod on.

Just here to help my friend! I immediately knew this was going to be on the top of peoples lists when it came out on epic games for free! Hopefully the video explained it well enough for you and it has helped you! Remember, since we are manually downloading mods, staying up to date can be tricky and you might need to repeat this process in the future with new updates :)

I’ve followed the steps im this tutorial and I’ve installed several mods like Move It and TM:PE successfully however there’s some mods that don’t work well with the Epic version like CSL Map view and Metro Overhaul Mod. The game just errors infinitely. Any suggestions what the problem could be? Output logs and error messages just say “index is out of range”.

That's how I used to download the mods. Subscribing shit and apps is new wave gamer.
Heads up: with newer versions or if you selected somewhere else for your ea launcher studd to go it wont be these exact locations on ur pc. hunt around for it, you'll find it somewhere!
you have a 'mods' folder both in the appdata tree and in the 'program files' tree.. which one do i use?
