Of the over 50 hours of video I've watched so far, this was presented exactly how i needed it to understand...thanks and I just subbed and will look through you vault...
Thanks Edward, man that’s awesome to hear - so glad the video was a help to you (especially after 50 hours of research beforehand!! Wow!)! I hope you enjoy the rest of the channel!
As always, I enjoyed your tutorial. Having twisted up lots of spinners over the years, I’ve found that adding a small solid brass bead between the weight and clevis will act as a bearing which will help the blades spin with less resistance and extend the life of your spinner. Just food for thought. I really enjoy your channel! Keep up the great work!
Man, this is fire! I never knew about your RUclips. I too, gladly live under a rock. So happy to be part of the family that is your channel! Great content. Love your style Brother.
Very nice!! The spinner has a wide variety of materials that complement each other!! I’ve got a friend that wants to build in-line spinner baits, I’ll sure to pass this along to him!! Awesome video Adam, very informative!!
This looks fun, just saved you in my watch later's. The last time I went on a in-line kick I sacrificed a few, and bought a few for larger blades (Salmon Steely sizes), Had to get creative with hook choices and attachments. Need more cowbell!! lol, Merry Christmas.
That looks sweet. I tried tying flys about 35 years ago first time I picked up a Shakespeare fly rod lack of knowledge left me to keep braking the thread it was hilarious.
Sharp looking lure, nice color combo, like the action in the water, great looking build. Adam I make a lot of spinners the tool i use is the Twist- Tech wire former, makes the job so easy. It's a little pricey but well worth the price. As usual another great video !!!
Thanks Robert! I looked at a few fancier units that would do more than barrel twists but most were designed to mount on a work bench (and were more expensive, as you said). Perhaps one day!!
👍👍 An smallie book I have discusses an older lure called a "cockatousch" (sp?), that is basically what you have done - inline spinner with a tied trailer. I've bent / tied some up for white bass and LMB as well as smallies and struggle a bit with balance, esp sizing the blade to the overall build but they catch fish!. Any pointers welcome. Great work, Adam! Thanks for sharing.
Very cool, I had no idea they had a name other than in-line spinner. You are correct, proportions are key (both for performance and visual appeal). It would be interesting to try this concept with a willow leaf, knowing it’s not going to “spin” like it does on the ball bearing swivel of a spinnerbait but it should rotate in the clevis like a SB front blade. I think it could be a more finesse approach, offering flash with minimal vibration, but who knows!? LOL And that’s what makes it all so much fun, the experimentation! Thanks Rob! I appreciate the dialogue!
@@SDGCustomLurecraft what's old is new again. :) Have a harder time getting willowleafs to play nice on these than IN or CO blades. Maybe I am missing something critical. Can send some photos if you have an email....
Outstanding man! Love all the color variance and texture… simply bee-u-tiful! Profile and action in the water was great. 👏🏻 Dig the adventure into som’n new too. So many options in a whole new world here! Definitely wanna see more of this!! What was the overall length of the finished ?bait?
Thanks brother! I’m really loving the process. Great question about total length - I’d have to measure but thinking about 7-8”: line tie to tip of the flashabou.
I’ve been catching bass with Mepps dressed aglia in-line spinners, for 24 years. My PB (10 lbs), was caught with a size 4 Mepps dressed aglia. I have caught countless bass with size 4, and size 3. In fact, I’ve caught more bass with a Mepps dressed aglia, than with any other lure/bait.
Yeah, definitely not the end of the world! I played with another design, splitting the two with a bead between. Seemed to “pick up” a bit faster/better. Thanks man!
They make 2 different types of clevises. The wire that you used & folded. If you use the folded they will spin better. Guaranteed! You'll thank me later. Hahaha. Good luck

That was a cool lure. The action in the water was good. Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it Robert!
Tandem in-line bucktail.....For Bass!!!!!!!!!!!! Amazing work and way to think out of the box, that will catch 'em for sure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks Dan, I sure hope so! Throw in some wild colors and I’ll bet some wallies make take a swipe too!

Great video as always Adam. Technical tie on this one with the piece parts. Reminds me of articulated streamers with all the steps involved.
Thanks Jeff! Just like eating an elephant, one bite at a time!

LOL, indeed! I hope you enjoy it once you have time to watch!
Nice build. Great swimming action on the long feathers. I also think it would work well with only one blade for a little more subtle action.
Thanks Lee! Most definitely on the blade - smaller and/or a single would be a great way to make it more finesse! Thanks for the feedback my friend!
That looks sweet. I tried tying flys about 35 years ago first time I picked up a Shakespeare fly rod lack of knowledge left me to keep braking the thread it was hilarious.
It can be a challenge but also quite rewarding when it comes together! Thx man!
the treble was fantastic, I make inlines and use bought bucktail trebles for some, but none look that good. Fantastic action in the water.

Vielen Dank! Schön, dass dir der Aufbau gefallen hat!
Wow beautiful! Love your videos ❤️
Thanks man! Glad you dig it!
Great video! Which vice is this? What vice do you prefer for jig heads, spinners or larger bucktails?
Thanks Dickie! The vice in this video is a Renzetti Traveler Saltwater Edition. It has larger jaws and can hold up to an 8/o hook, NP. Love it!

Can you do as much with this tool compared to the commercial bench wire forming tool?
With some extra effort, yeah. The barrel loops absolutely, R-bends etc... probably, but like I said, a little more effort.
That’s a great tool the vice ones are so expensive 🤙🤙
Very effective and easy on the wallet!
