Do you have a tutorial on content that contains music copyright claims....I do presentations on song and vocal analysis, and sing cover style, but is always sensored. Many others do it and this is the block that keeps me from getting my Music Education Livestream off the ground🥺
Our podcast is a faith based view on managing family dynamics. Married life is not always pretty and we give practical advice on how to go from surviving in marriage to thriving.
My podcast is Lesh Talks Scripture and it’s my perspective/advice/opinion on current events as well as questions asked by viewers. I stated it last December and only uploaded two. I took time off and I feel the push to get it going for real this time so thank you for this video!
In summary, the pros and cons of podcast formats are: Audio: Pro- less complexity, takes only one step Con- limits amount of visibility, can only be viewed in audio only platforms Video: Pros- open more visibility, videos are more searchable, can upload long and short contents Con- you have to show up on camera Now it's up to you to decide! 💪
You'll watch an entire Netflix show even when the first episodes are slow and boring just because someone told you "it gets better." *But what if you looked at your goals like that and watched your life get better instead?*
I think the media helps to portray success as fast and easy to obtain especially when you see all of these young music artists but if you get the real back story many times it wasn't fast or easy. Nor is it easy to maintain takes a lot of work, dedication, support and often money.
From my experience, it's quite a grind to build an audience from scratch from a podcast only approach.having a podcast for two years with over 500 published episodes in a genre of Pop culture and entertainment to news commentary and original storytelling.it is extremely difficult to get traction .I recently attempted to retrofit some of those podcast ,adding some video elements.the rate of audience expansion is much greater on you tube .so my true advice would be focus on video podcast format, and just extract the audio to add to the podcast format.the money making potential of podcast is not a get rich process for certain
I’m nervous because I just started a YT channel- and I’m working on growing my subscriber count and views and providing value- buttttttt I KNOW that podcasting is invaluable and there is less competition. ❤ I can do it!
I enjoy having the option to look at people talking so video is my preference, + makes an opportunity to improve videography skillset if that’s what you fancy.
I JUST started my RUclips journey so it sounds scary to also dive into podcasting. I’m just one person- but I know there are MORE opportunities in podcasting with less competition. Hmmm
To all you small youtubers out there, just the fact that you are here means you are trying to improve and you are in the process. Just don't give up! You will make it too :D
Since I am an artist and music producer, I want to make different content. Example: Monday- 1 minute music tutorials. Wednesday- Interview with independent artists and publicity. Friday- Speaking about social issues, giving my opinion and interacting with the public. Do you recommend me to make that content plan for social networks?
Initially started as an audio only podcast but now switched to video, I think if you can do a video podcast you might as well do it! (then just strip the audio for places such as Spotify etc)
Do you think a video podcast with clips playing during the podcast that support the content being discussed, but without seeing the host would be efficient?
Oh 2nd Question? Is it IDEAL to keep your VIDEO Podcast on a separate RUclips Channel from all your other RUclips Videos or can they all Coexist on the same channel? Thank you in advance
I watch a ton of RUclips. I can see where doing video podcasts is good because I discovered a lot of great podcasters through RUclips that I now listen to on Google Podcasts.
Interesting video. I've got a RUclips channel already and certainly wouldn't consider it a podcast. Maybe I'm wrong, but most of my videos are explainer type and need the video component or they'd be rather useless to most people. Still, I think there's tremendous value in this series for people just getting started. Maybe there's an opportunity I'm missing to do a news type video once a month and make that video into an audio resource as well. I'd have to think a while on that one.
ThinkMedia's slogan of "You gotta just press record" is literally the most simple... *YET EFFECTIVE* advice anyone can have. Most people don't even put in the effort to make videos because they fail to simply press record. I mean, what do you honestly have to lose? 🤷🏻♂️
Thank you kindly! Not only did you answer my question, you answered it with the reason why! I feel so alleviated and relieved. I would subscribe to show my thanks but I'm already a subscriber. Lol! I clicked "like" though. Thumbs up!
Hi, this video was very helpful thankyou. I want to create a video podcast with a mix of online interviews with people in various locations and sometimes in person interviews in my house. I own 2 canon 1dx cameras and a multitude of lenses and lighting gear so I have all of that and I just purchased a ring light and mv7 Microphone. But I am unsure what is the best and easiest approach for video/audio recording software I should use to film the online interviews versus the in person content? I would also like to create the interviews as an audio podcast aswell using your tip of creating short form clips for additional social media content. Can you please tell me is Zoom the best and easiest way to get started especially for the online interviews? Or is there an all in one video and audio recording software that will allow me ease of use and to achieve simple fast editing ? Thankyou. I am sure many people have asked this question already and I greatly appreciate your advice.
If you launch a podcast RUclips Channel, does it is have to be a separate channel from your lifestyle vlog channel? Or can I keep everything in the same channel since it’s all based on the same or similar themes to my vlog channel?
I need help creating content under makeup/beauty niche. According to my channel analytics, I have more male viewers and I’m terrified that if I decide to go into beauty niche I’ll lose them
Great info! My question is; Can/Should the Video be differnt from the audio version of each show? When I edit the vide portion can I insert visual illustrations etc? Thx
Please l already have a RUclips channel that l do vlogs … l really wanna het into podcast … will it be okay if l start audio podcast then l upload this on my already made channel ?
I've seen some video podcasts where they have their logos on a TV monitor, some have a vinyl banner behind them. Do you recommend a certain size of a vinyl banner for my video?
I want to start my podcast and I was considering a video podcast but I think is easier to edit an audio only podcast. Is there a way to edit video and audio at the same time? I mean, I use Shotcut for basic video editing but it is limited for audio editing, so I use Reaper instead. Also, I wanted to use my cell phone for shooting and an XLR mic for the audio and synchronize in post. I hope you can help me! Great videos btw, so helpful and informative.
I have an audio podcast I would love to make a video podcast but I don't really know how to set it up as I don't have a camera to record and I don't know how to connect my mic to my phone as I don't have a strong phone holder or a good lavalier mic to record with
🙋🏾♀️thanks for the vid. I have a question. What if you already have an audio pod which you wanna upload to RUclips. Do you recommend finding B-roll to lay over the audio, one continuous shot, or a blank screen with a logo? Some episodes are up to an hour long. 'An Untitled Podcast from Shantell Bancroft ' This is where Im at, at the mo. Also, for my vids to show up in search I'd need to change the titles. What works as a title over an audio episode will not on a visual video on YT. 🤔 Any thoughts anyone??
I agree with most of this, But An Audio podcast is not always so easy to do. First you need a place to to record that is quiet, away from cars, Lorries, aircraft etc and that is quite hard to find especially if you live in a busy city or town. Secondly the equipment, Everyone says to use cheap microphones and you will get pro sound, That is not true. You have to invest in a good microphone, a dynamic mic should be a choice rather than a Condenser mic, unless you have a sound booth, and even if you build your own booth you can add a few hundred more pounds or dollars, a Dynamic mic will be a best bet for noisy environments. The companies I use are Shure, Rode, and Sontronics. You then have to invest in an Audio Interface, These start from low prices say a hundred Pounds or dollars, but as with the mic you want a decent one. The companies I use, Are Audient and Focusrite. So, you have your mic, and your audio interface, Where and what will I be able to record with? Will I record straight into a computer? which can crash and lose your work. A Recorder, A decent recorder will set you back a few hundred pounds or Dollars more or will I be recording into a Laptop, Which is a viable way to do it, or an Ipad pro? Both of which cost an arm and a leg. I record into an Imac, and or my Ipad. Then depending on what software you like, may cost you nothing or a lot. I use garageband. Nothing is ever simple, and an audio podcast can be very rewarding and that is how I release my podcasts, Audio only. I use Spotify, and youtube to host my Podcasts.
Easy to recommend a video podcast when someone is young and beautiful, like the woman making this video. One size does not fit all. For people like her, I would say that a video podcast is the way to go. For a 70 year old person, not so much. Not all content creators are young and attractive. It’s tough getting used to talking at length without an interruption. Easier with another person though.
I learned that you should take breaks in between while recording

Hello first
Easy to recommend a video podcast when someone is young and beautiful, like the woman making this video. One size does not fit all. For people like her, I would say that a video podcast is the way to go. For a 70 year old person, not so much. Not all content creators are young and attractive. I think that she should consider that fact.
So what is it? The biggest missed opportunity? 🤣
Video is good if you provide other content, rather than your talking head. Too many talking heads on podcasts AND on TV.
