The HT community is full of people willing to help and not act jealous about each others setup, I can tell you were having a ball in a theater that was "better" than yours. I have a very nice setup but I actually like going to see setups that are "better" than mine to learn and get ideas. Great job as always Youthman.

I made the same mistake and ALMOST didn’t wanna even watch this video because of the title alone and the use of the word epic, it almost made me feel like I was going to already come in with high expectations and get let down
But man.... from start to finish this was like watching Infinity Wars for the first time and seeing Thanos just wreck shit up
This movie theater hulk smashed me and my expectations
Sad part now is knowing that I can never afford all this stuff
Just a little tip when placing your bullet points on specific objects while free handing your camera you can add a tracking point and bind the track data to the bullet point animations causing them to stay on the object you are naming it looks very professional
I installed a few d-box in the past and for me the opening of LOTR the two towers is still the best. The dbox chairs move so subtly like you are flying. Very cool. Just can add to immersiveness
We have definitely not ever run this scene on the D-Box, but I will be sure to play it with Tony next time I am there real soon, thanks!
@Youthman, I thought I had high expectations for this video, but you sir still exceeded them! You are as good at video production, editing, and presentation as I am at programming and Tony is at planning, building, and calibrating a home theater!

Misters are next!!! I’ve always wanted a 4D room since Disney as a child.
By my estimation there is at least $70K in this excellent Home Theater. In my opinion the three gems of this theater is the JVC NX7, the 166" acousticly transparent screen (Widescreen format), and of course the JTR subs. The rest of the JTR speakers I'm sure are very good, but they are quite bulky. Love the matte black of the Theater, that's always best. Glad you enjoyed it Mike.

Bulky? Those are way smaller than the Klipsch La Scalas. They are tall, but they aren't very wide. They are also very easy to place and image.

I will be reviewing the JTR 210RM in an LCR configuration to find out.
I tried D-box a few years ago when Axpona was in NYC. It was great. So I settled for a Parts Express $40 bass shaker. Same experience... I swear.

Don’t know what Dbox demo you’ve had, but I’ve experienced the SOWK theater in the MLP and it’s not even on the same planet as standard bass shakers! I don’t like heights and the Unbroken plane demo actually got to me. It’s so realistic.

Ya my hats off to SOWK. He nailed it in many unique ways often overlooked , and that before you enter the theater! JTR is the real deal Holyfield and if you take a JTR instal to the limit it’s next level I’m sure . I own dual JTR subs and soon to upgrade to JTR Noesis mains

There isn't really words to explain the awsome caliber of this home theater and i have always wanted to see a full on JTR home theater and what Tony and Nick did there with the audio and Dbox system with the fans is definitely next level. Ohh and youthman i think in the beginning of this video the word you where looking for when explaining how the sound was just awsome but it was not fatigueing to the ears I knew exactly what you where talking about because at one time I had owned a pair of B&W Nautilus 802s and they where powered by a mark Levinson amplifier just a 2 channel set up i had but yes they effortlessly played loud and where not fatigueing at all with clarity that was really unmatched at the time at least for my budget and this was maybe 25 years ago anyway thank you so much everyone for bringing this to us. Thx and be blessed my friends.

Youth man, this was awesome and I love this series. I really appreciate him for inviting you out and he really used his head to maximize his space and budget. Buying used is always a great option. DUDE! I love this format! Can we get more of these longer-format videos? I know they're intensive so I understand if you can't do it, but I'd LOVE to see more of these videos where I can just lean back and watch for a half-hour or so.
Thank you. That is the direction I have been going with the Home Theater Tours. Definitely will not be that way for every video as they do take a lot longer to edit. It took me 4 days to edit the SOWK home theater and I’m definitely going to have two days into the Newby Home Theater I’m editing now

Just goes to show how important planning is. I remember that $100k theatre that you reviewed and don't remember hearing this kind of reactions.
You are correct. The biggest difference was the $100,000 system was designed and installed by Magnolia.
There is definitely a substantial cost (and benefit) to spending thousands of hours thinking about these things. And this just proves it

They use that Dbox at Universal Studios. You can feel rain, air, and scent on the kung fu Panda ride. Can’t wait for a 7D home theater with scent. Be great to watch cooking show lol

I know what Michael is talking about when he says that the clarity and detail never lacked. A new friend of mine replaced his front stage set up as LCR going from the awesome Klipsch Ultra 2's to the even more awesome Noesis line from JTR. Though the Klipsch sound great, they just couldn't keep up with powerful bass from his JTR subs. His new Noesis speakers from JTR completely performed during every scene. They didn't get drowned out by the bass, not even once. I was really amazed at that because at a glance, you might not realize how great of a speaker Jeff from JTR has built.

JTR speakers look like the badass speakers I used to build back in the day. I used to love them. True cinematic sound but my wife won’t let me build new ones because they look ugly so now I got Sonus Faber that sound amazing but not the same when watching movies 😏
My home cinema is a super king-size bed and a 65 tv with a soundbar a wireless rear speakers 😅

Audio demos are difficult for 2 reasons. 1) Copyright 2) I'm recording a 9.1.4 Dolby Atmos system on a stereo microphone that most will listen to on a mobile device.

My entire current home theater system cost less than the the front amplifier of this one and I think it's great. It's the best I've had for sure. I would love to experience something like this to see and hear just what a real home theater could actually be like.
dippitydoinit, everyone has a starting point. Mine was on the PC with the Creative Cambridge Soundworks FourPointSurround FPS2000 Digital with the Diamond Monster Sound A3D PCI Sound Card.

Seats alone are about $15k each, speakers wise, just in the front we are talking around $40k
Fantastic! This guy has killed it. However... can he update the door knobs?! 1982 was a long time ago.
Tip: make sure to use the risers as base traps (you need to calculate tuning etc)... well worth the effort.

My riser is a bass trap. Not sure how Tony built his but the level of detail he had in his setup, my guess is it was built properly.

Awesome home cinema and has centre seats directly in line with the middle of the screen that a lot of people mistakenly forget to do in their home cinema. Usually see a row of two seats with none having a direct line to the middle of the screen.
As for the DBOX stuff I've tried bass shakers, 4DX etc, found them to be a tiresome gimmick that wears off quickly.
Would never use them again in a commercial or home cinema. Those luxurious leather seats do look comfy though 😆
I habe an IBeam basshaksr for 5 years never wanna miss it (at least as long I don‘t have a dbox seat)
Best part, When he said he limits the games on the arcade cabinet. That is something I learned to do years ago to keep people from spending all their time picking a game.
Yeah sometimes he asks visitors ahead of time what is their favorite games and pre-loads those on there too.

Kip Maier, Monoprice 12 Ga for everything but the front three channels. Signal Cable Ultra Series for the front three.
