Hey Allen. I’ve also recently purchased a Z3. I’m considering replacing the stereo as well and saw the work you did on the stereo replacement. Sounded like you were planning on adding tweeters. Have you thought about adding a kicker hideaway for base? Also, how does the system you have installed sound? It would great to have a short video on to see.
I have installed Alpine tweeters that will be a future video as well as a 12" Rockville sub in the trunk. Very pleased thus far.

How did you get the headunit to stay in? i have an after market headunit in my z3 and i dont want to take apart that dash to get it out but theres not screws like the stock i was trying to see how you did it but it wasnt in the video :( please help if possible

From what I remember they are just tabs. Just pull

Quick question so I have my entire stereo system ordered for my z3. My question is how did you remove the rear speakers
I thought I went through it. You have to dismantle most of the rear to access them
Greetings! I'm trying to replace kick panel speakers but my z3 has 4 cables, 2 positives and 2 negatives. Most of the speakers I find only have 2 like yours. Do you know if it affects if I only use 2 of the 4 the car brings? Or it should be better if I get a 4 terminal speaker? Thanks in advance!
If you are keeping the stock amplifier then find a dual voice coil replacement speaker (4 terminals)

helloooooo ... I did it on my Z3 and worked fantasticly. BTW I wanted to ask you for a suggestion, cause mi leader dash from passenger side is full leader and sun made a mess. now I need to pull it out and ... never did ... any suggestion. Thanks friend

Hi loved your video and I have a problem with my sound sistem every time that I start driving all of my speakers turn of but I put 2 12 inch subwoofers in the trunk and those stay on what might the problem be
That is strange. Sounds like maybe the internal amplifier on the head unit

A pic of the wires would have been a great idea. Hindsight . You didn’t mention which wires were what polarity or colors lined or not so I’m stuck with no info .
It varies from model to model and year to year unfortunately. You just need to test like I did
How did you install the speaker on the driver side?
Just remove the kick panel and it is right there
