Well done video. Ill just add that the peg in the back of rhe radio goes into a slot to detect of the radio is removed (fyi). The trunk in the z3 is sealed from the passenger compartment so it is better to have the sub between the seats or in passenger footwell.
The only perfect radio for any bmw from the 90’ is the Blaupunkt Frankfurt. I has even the matching orange lights and fake cassette tape blank when you have your aux and 2 usb ports. Just fantastic 👌🏻looks OEM but have all the bells&whistles

Were you able to get the radio to mount flush? My worry is that it interferes with the AC controls and top above the radio
As long as you use the mounting bracket it provides it it sure perfect it only covers a tiny bit of the top of the controls
It doesnt fit the space nicely and replacement doesn't look very straightforwaed either
