- I built a pergola to hold my solar panels instead of installing them on my roof. Check out the build and final reveal.

What a Gal you are Ms Pippi .
You deserve a good peaceful life , just because .
In the promo for this, you mentioned it was going to be like a “back in the day” video and it was! I enjoyed it very much! The back yard looks so different than when you moved in. Great work! The dogs love the room to roam.
I'm proud of you Pippi, job well done!
Thanks!
I’ve been watching you for 9 years pippi lol it all started with a laying tile video I watched on on my bathroom floor looking for tiling tips. I feel like a old friend that we have grown up together and never met. Anyways hi from Wyoming!
Great job!! You are so talented👍 the swing is cute..stay safe pippi and pups💓🤗
Gosh this was like watching old times as you were always doing improvements. I love the swing as always enjoyed that. Can't wait to see how you hook up the solar. To me this is very interesting. Nice looking flower beds also and hope the dogs don't get into them. There like sand boxes to kids. But love the dogs anyway. Thanks and hugs to Chase and Pearl.
Great Job Girlie!!! I’m back from Florida but heading off to Hill Country soon!! Been so busy no time to catch up on my videos!! Lol Your house is going to be Amazing when your done!!!
Looking forward to tonight's presentation... hope we get to see the hounds.
How neat! Cool Pippi!🌸
Rock solid! I admire you Pippi. Thumbs up ~John
Everything & every time you make it, getting more inspirations
I will die doing... that 😂🤫
Keep up the awesome work mam 🤟
great job. one tip, get two foldable large plastic tables to use as work tables, it will save on back pain with less bending
I like that. A good Idea. Putting Solar Panels on a Pergola. Looks great and sturdy too... Don
Aw Miss Pippi ... your project looks awesome yes 👌🤙 , amazing idea along with double duty for hanging a swing when your family comes to visit or just a nice place to relax n glide your trouble away lol , love it and it's very much functional 💡👍 , love the sharing of your storeys for the unknown 🛸👽 , take care n keep up the DIY's n the super channel 😉😁😊😍🥳😎
As Frenchie from the "Boys" Says "Girls do get it done" Bravo Pippi!
I’m looking to build a solar carport but I don’t want space between the panels and I want it to be more or less rainproof underneath. Have you seen any designs for that sort of thing? Thanks for the video on the pergola!
Hi Pippi, The solar pergola looks amazing!
Outstanding!❤️
Love the solar pergola!!
Been following you for years. Whether you are on the road or at home...
You're a badass. 💯💯
Aww thanks!
Great job Pippi
Very cool project! 👑✌🏼
how did you tie in to house. More details would be great, exactly what I hope to build in 2022 but on existing slab.
04:45 - so that’s where your partner went to 🪦. 😂
Good video ! Looks Nice. I guess they are 200watts a piece. So u got 1600 watts. That’s not too bad. Nice little solar set up.
You can do a lot with 1600 watts in a power outage.
I think I missed the battery storage & inverter videos. I’ll have to go looking.
Good job on the pergola and panels.
Great job on the solar pannels being mounted!👍By the way, your hair looks great!
Love the swing as well as solar nice " two for"
Sounds like the plants we have in our front yard in Arizona. You look and sound happy BTW. : - )
Nice work!
😮 excellent ❤❤
PIPPI NANGSTRUMPF YOU ARE GREAT ! :)
What is the name of those diamond or V shaped brackets you used for the beams? Been trying to find the correct name but nothing similar is coming up in search!
That is nice! Even looks rugged and gives me some ideas. Is that a concrete slab for the floor too? One thing I noticed is the the grounding connection looks like a flat washer. The aluminum frame is an anodized aluminum so you will need to use a star washer to dig into the top layer to make electrical contact with the panel frame. You can use an ohm meter to verify your panel frame has electrical contact with the grounding wire.
You usually update us on an annual basis, so what's going on with Pippi now a days!?
I sure miss her happy face. I hope she, as the kids say is living her best life!✌️😎🏴☠️
Hi Pippi I always enjoy your videos.
Glad to hear it!
Great video! I would like to build a solar pergola as well. I need one that does not have spaces between the panels so that I can grow veggies, herbs, and flowers underneath them. I want to add raised beds, so that as the plants respirate, they cool the underside of the panels and make them more efficient in the Houston heat. Have you seen any plans for a pergola where the panels create a solid roof-like structure? Did you consult with someone at the solar panel manufacturer for advice on how to build yours?
I love this idea! Have you noticed if it is hotter when you sit under the panels since they are attracting the sun?
instead of using edging, i trench around my garden area and then no need to weed wack; just mow around it.
I really enjoyed your videos when you were in the bus
BUILT SOLAR READY AND TOUGH BY THE ONE AND ONLY . THE PERGOLA IS LOOKING GREAT ANT THE ART AROUND IT . EXCELLENT JOB AND MAY THE SOLAR BE WITH YOU .
You are a good worker, now that you have an electric swing you can put in a slide so you can do the electric slide
You inspire me 🙂
Any updates? Have you abandoned RUclips? Would love to see more renovation videos.❤
Thanks for sharing. Like 846. Why did you leave a space between the panels? I hope all is well as you haven't posted for 2 years.
Hey P, are you still making content? Hope all is well,
Thanks for sharing Pippi, you’re the best girl :-)
How solar doing? Just wondering how you are going to clean them every so often when they are so high up?
Good call. Lots of bad press on "roof panels" ripping the roof off. Plus you don't want the thermal insulation that reduces efficiency.
Fun! ! Do you have a hail plan. We often get high winds and large hail here (DFW) in the spring storms. I assume the panels have a rating system for hail damage? Tell us about that please.
Any UL tested panels have had some sort of hail testing
been there, done that
How will you keep the Wind from Blowing the solar Panels off frame ?
They’re bolted down
haha
glad your putting down roots
nice
cool
what is your power output on your pnls
1600W
@@PippiPeterson do you think that that 1600 watts is going to be enough th keep the electric company away. i know texas has their own grid and the rest of the country shares the other two grids. i have 13 pnls on my house and i get what they call a reverant bill which is supposed to be paid at the end of each year. right now i owe my reverant bill 72 dollars but SCE owes me 87 dollars be soon winter will be here and things will change so i may owe them 20 or so bucks. just wondering what you think your pnl will do for you or are you planning to add more panels. Are you sure you have not buried someone, after all Jimmy Hoffa is still missing. ha ha it looks like a Grave mound of dirt. I am not sure of the difference in wavy verses wonky ha Great job by the way, all that climbing up and down you should have buns of steel :) Love the addition of a swing nice job.
Susceptible to mismeasuring. I seem to have the same problem when it comes to fish and "personal" equipment.
Great job hun. I could never do this. Wow. Cheers!!!
😁
Square holes, wow
'By heck'......for a moment i thought you were building a barn😁
Ohh p.s...' a person that didnt make mistakes, never made anything'....i think the saying goes....🙄
Nothing but respect some woman for one woman.
I didn't know she was a swinger.
Do you two-step? Why did I only see one doggo?
Both are in the video at different times.
I didn't watch this vid because of its DIY content, if you know what I mean...
Nothing at personal, but you aren't.
@@MichelleOhio I didn't say it properly, sorry.
