    This is how i normally do my beats. I'll just paste it all the way across so i can find a time limit, 3-4 minutes. Then count how many 4 bar sections it has and think of the structure, how many bars for verse.. and then start adding markers, intro, verses/hooks, outro. And then i can see my structure. That's when i start taking away parts.

    Navie D produces some of the best tutorials I've seen for FL. He explains it in a way that is easy to understand. One thing that I have problems with is he goes too fast. For him this is what he does everyday, for beginners it's trying to make sense of what he's doing. Overall I give Navie D a 9/10.

    Man, every video makes me wanna compliment you again and again. By far the best producing channel on RUclips. Music, Content, Editing, Presentation, Personality, Interaction. Top notch. It's easy to explore RUclips and after a while everything feels the typical generical and overdone content. Not here. It honestly feels like a personal take on the subject, AND with actual insight and experience. Not rehashed or pseudo content. I have to congratulate you on that Navie. Keep going! You and your loved ones stay safe! Can't wait for the next video!

    • @NavieD

      @@NavieD Nah man, you are dope. Wish I could be as talented and cool as you are. It's obvious you are in control of the tools. And like I said in another video, you have such an interesting signature sound. You have an identity and it shows. You clearly are a producer who makes content for RUclips about your craft. A Producer channel. Even if you make something that has already been done I'll watch. It's done in a informative, professional way. You go to the point, you explain, you communicate in an engaging way. Numerous times i'll watch the same video back to back, or binge the others. I don't even use FL and I've seen them all. Simply because I feel "This dude knows what he is doing, i'm gonna pay attention and take notes" in a way that goes beyond the DAW. And that's awesome. You're not a "Lifestyle/Vlogger/Brand/Self-Help/OMG THE SECRET TO MAKE 10M$ EVERY WEEK" kinda crap. These dudes talk about selling thousands of dollars and then present cringy content, often generic musical ideas, when not selling snake oil to beginners or shoving their products. Maybe it's not my cup of tea. Not trying to diss on anyone because they clearly have an audience, but it's more about selling themselves and some "ideas". It's less and less about the music and the work ethic. It's like The Kardashians Music Producer Edition. And sometimes it's a shame because someguys have cool video concept's. You're a down to earth dude. You deserve the compliment, the partnerships, the sucess. And you clearly are going to be huge in here. Even bigger than the size of this comment 😂 You cool. I look forward to seeing you grow and learning from you. And sorry for the longass rant, but I think people easily take more time to be destructive, especially online, than to be nice to those who deserve it.

      Hahah well I am glad to help. How did you end up messing up your beat?

  • @idesel
    @idesel 4 года назад +1

    Very powerful technique indeed. The beat itself is sick as hell, it's haunting. I would have felt "sentimental" sacrificing some of those sounds on the hook, great that they can be used later on the bridge or someplace else.

    • @NavieD
      @NavieD  4 года назад +1

      Hahah thank you Lesedi! Yeah that's one positive of using this technique, it gives you the opportunity to use sounds all over the place and they are readily available. Compared to not having enough sounds and having to make stuff up as you go, which can get in the way when you are in "flow state"

    Navie whats the perfect trick of using so many instruments so many sounds like you did..even after adding drums it didn't get bad instead sounds so lit 🔥 like Travis Scott's and Weeknd's type Epic music ❤❤😍😍 when I do this it all gets messed up ☹ Do you decide these all the sounds in your head or you just keep adding during the process? And if you think of this already in your head before producing music then how to think so Creative like You 😁😁 so many questions but really wanted to know as a Beginner

    • @NavieD
      @NavieD  4 года назад +1

      Honestly, it's all a big game of experimentation. Keep in mind that I just showed you guys the sounds that worked with the beat and ended up fitting. There were definitely sounds that I tried to use that didn't work, or didn't end up fitting the beat in the very end. I would say, one thing to consider is to try your best in filling spaces that don't have other instruments already playing in them. That can help you prevent messing things up
