He is a massive inspiration to me. His pre RTJ work on cannibal ox, funcrusher plus and fantastic damage changed the way i see beat making. The way he distorts samples and builds up drum breaks into more complex, dense rhythms always dazzles me. He is just that guy man. Great video!

The funny part about this, is that I distinctly remember doing stuff like this when I first started making beats but I never knew how to put it together in a way that sounds intelligible. Using random sounds and layering multiple copies of the same synth with weird effects. I think I need to get back to that after spending so much time trying to teach myself how to write melodies and music theory and shit.
