My take is this based on my short experience of living here in the philippines for a year and a half. I lived briefly in a smaller province town and currently live in a Baguio, a much larger city in the mountains. I have visited BGC, and for the rent price of a condo in BGC, I am renting a four bedroom furnished house in Baguio for 40K or currently $687.94 usd. It's all about the convenience of living, really. A condo in BGC affords you the luxury of convenient living. Everything is within walking distance, close to major airports and major hospitals. There are trade-offs, so it really depends on what kind of lifestyle you want when you get here.

BGC is amazing, but I wish they took ideas from other cities and made the connections between buildings underground. And maybe some roundabouts because they took too much inspiration from other dense urban cities, including the traffic.
The Variety of all sorts of ethnicity cuisine you can practically get in the Philippines for reasonable price as compared to U.S. You get a piece of paradise for an affordable price. It depends on your budget and lifestyle. If your budget is lower and you prefer the simple country life, in my opinion Bohol is the best place in the Philippines. Plus plenty of luxury on a budget
Ridiculous prices in those restaurants. That could really break the bank if you're eating out in BGC every day. That area might be good for keeping an apartment as a base for island hopping, etc., but living there full time would almost be cheating one's self out of a real Philippine experience. I mean , I can eat good food and live in a trendy condo like that anywhere in the US, there's nothing special about it. Just my opinion, I'm sure others have theirs.
Not too high paying, those banks are mostly just service centers and commercial banking. Very little M&A activity or trading being done from Manila. That is mostly Singapore and Hong Kong.

First phase of Metro Manila Subway Project has already started, when it’s completely done it will serve the cities in the north of Metro Manila all the way to airport Terminal 3.

I am retired high school math teacher from North Atlanta, GA. What is name of condo building you stayed at , and can you get those rates if you sign 6 month lease agreement. I am in Da Nang Vietnam currently, go to Thailand for 3 months and then back to BGC area, any info you can provide greatly appreciated.

In some restaurants they add 5% to 7.5% service charge to your bill. Here in Baguio, I see 5% added at some places, and in BGC, I saw 7.5 added. A lot of restaurants may not add anything, and its up to your discretion on what you tip. Hope that helps!

There’s no argument. Bgc is nothing like the rest of the Philippines. I’ve been to 7 islands and been living in QC now for a year. Bgc is a bubble and there’s nothing else quite like it in PH.
The people have negative views in Bonifacio for me love the idea going there but haven’t got deep pockets 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I am happy there living the luxurious lifestyle because we own a one condo unit there right in the middle 5 minutes walk to Market Markets and Serendra mostly in SM Aura just minutes walk ❤️❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍👍👍

I suggest not buying just rent. The 300K will make more money invested in annuity to pay for your rent. It's kind of hard to resale sometimes.

My issue with BGC is the restaurant prices. In Thailand and Vietnam, I eat delicious, local, cheap food most of the time. Where is that in BGC?
