Great content, thanks. Been using Adam’s Graphene but didn’t know it was silicone based. I want to try Darkside but $11 for the TW is hard to pass up. People bitching about the condition of your test tire are annoying.
I've only used the TW Graphene out all of these products. What I've enjoyed about it is that once the initial satin gloss is washed, the tires stay nice and black. I suspect the black pigments assist with that. It seems to give a solid 3-4 week duration. As Martin mentioned, it drys quickly. Satisfying product. 👍
Darkside is the Heavyweight Champion when it comes to appearance and long lasting performance on the tire. It makes the rubber sidewalls look so good! My previous favorite tire dressing was PERL but Darkside is better and it lasts longer. I’ve had several maintenance customers tell me it’s the best their tires have ever looked.
Turtlewax for me. Dark side attracts dust and browning giving its a greasy solvent. The acrylic in TW is dry to the touch and gets super shiny if sprayed on as the directions imply.
I find that if the excess of Darkside isn't wiped off then the solvents that do not dry can definitely attract dust. TW does dry much faster and easier being a water base. Personally I don't spray directly on tires because it gets too messy, but I have low profile tires.
@@SpartanKyuubi did you just not accuse someone of making an assumption when it’s also an assumption on your part to think they added something that wasn’t disclosed?
Great video! I’ve had very good experience with the Hybrid solutions graphene tire dressing, my tires still look nice and black after driving in the snow/salt.
Thank you. Real world durability tests are tough to do and take a lot of time. Scott HD does a pretty nice simulated tire durability test, I'm hoping he does a new one soon.
I would say just based off my tests, carpro, griots, and hybrid solutions. By muddy tires I am assuming you mean something that will drive through mud. definitely make sure to thoroughly clean the tire before applying.
For the most part they are pretty much the same so as a business owner it comes down to a couple of things . 1 , people like shiny things. 2 , it comes down to bottom line aka profits. For that it's tw for the win for me .
Watched it twice! Can you top darkside? Or really won't help. I bought the turtle wax one for customers using a brush to apply, might change over to the hex foam. ????? Do toppers help dough?
You can't really top tire dressings with anything other than reapplying more as it wears off. It's mostly due to how rubber rejects products made for painted surfaces.
The only way I was able to remove TW Graphene or Adam's Graphene was to use Stoners Tar Remover . These new Gen tire dressings are no joke. If you ever get a chance to try Aero Cosmetics Rubber Care I think you'll be impressed. I personally don't like any shiny look to my tires. Rubber Care leaves a rich, dark black new rubber look with zero greasy look left behind. As well as UV protection and Hydrophobics. Highly Recommend
It's rare for me, but meguiar's disappoints me a bit. I like the look of it but I would have thought and liked it to be super hydrophobic, especially coming from the hybrid ceramic range!. That's why I like meguiar's hot shine tire spray, with its dark matt and very water-repellent appearance. Is the new meguiar's water-based or solvent-based?. Thank you my friend.
@@BelLavoroAutoSpa OK so it is very hydrophobic at first, sorry if I miss something you explain, English is not my mother tongue! 😉. Also, what is your opinion on solvent-based products?. Are they really bad for plastic and rubber as many say?!. Thanks in advance for your help my friend. In any case keep it up, I love your tests!! 👍 👍 👍
@Nico RS Mob & detailing I don't think they are bad. These more respected companies know what they are doing and would not put out products that are bad for your vehicle. In fact, rubber and plastic are made from petroleum just as these pretolium solvent based dressings are. I have never seen anyone have a bad experience with a solvent based dressing that damaged their tires or plastic trim.
@@BelLavoroAutoSpa It's true for me neither, yet I regularly use Meguiar's Endurance Tire Gel and Hot Shine Tire Spray (all 2 solvent-based). Your reflection on the manufacture of these petroleum-based materials is very well thought out!. next time I will try meguiar's detailer D160 all season dressing. Looks really nice and gallon to me compared to the consumer version of hot shine tire spray!. Thanks again friend 👍
Great review, I’m going to give your top two a try. I’m currently using Auto Fanatic MEGA Gloss Tire Shine. I believe it’ll fall in your top three for sure. Great durability and look.
I've tried Adams and Darkside(which I've been using lately) and to be honest I'm NOT impressed with either one. Darkside WILL NOT last long if it rains and you'll be lucky to get two weeks out of it if it never rains. I've yet to find a product that lasts over two weeks with no rain.
the shine never lasts, however what they will continue doing is protecting your tire from getting dirty and brown. I prefer the natural dark rubber look over glossy shine.
This is unbelievable why would anyone spend honest money on cleaning painting there car tyres 🤪 that spend there time on filthy roads is truly stupidity at the highest level 😅😂🤣
These won't run either when applied properly. I know pledge is an old trick from back in the day. I might put it to the test to really see how it holds up over time. Keep in mind all of these save for Carpro are water based (Carpro is pretolium based) After some further reading, it looks like the chemical composition of Pledge is really bad for rubber and plastics over time, as it does not protect them and nstead further deterioates them causing them to crack and fade. No thanks! bobistheoilguy.com/forums/threads/pledge-on-tires-no.300538/
Just applied Darkside before a week long (and going!) nonstop rain storms, really impressed with it

Thanks for the vid. Gonna get one darkside after using up my Meguiar’s tire gel.
Adam’s VRT is really good .
They need to make it available in gallon .
Turtlewax for me. Dark side attracts dust and browning giving its a greasy solvent. The acrylic in TW is dry to the touch and gets super shiny if sprayed on as the directions imply.
Have you tried or are you assuming it does?
Cause that’s not been the case for me.

Good to know. I’m in AZ so I’m always looking for products to minimize/repel dust.
@@yftinthyn007 they may have included an ingredient to deal with that. As I stated, this has not been my experience with the product.

good point! definitely will keep the salt from making your tires look like doodoo
Thank you for the video. Think I'll try Darkside😊
It's definitely worth it
This was more a chemical resistance test rather than real world test. I appreciate it either way

that darkside looks good... I have it on order
It's my new favorite
Which one last longer, I would say that’s the most important thing
Carpro
Anybody else hear the cat meow at 3:19 ? 🐈
Great video Martin. Appreciate the info.
I’ve had good success removing that type of gunk from tire with mineral spirits or paint thinner
I'll give it a shot
Which do y’all think is best for muddy tires?

my favorite video

Depending on your customer base yes that is true. I do mostly car enthusiasts so they want less shine.
Maybe the Adam's Graphene Tire Dressing is a sheeter not a beader? 😄
@stearlers069 in my experience the sheeters are always the least durable. Though I know a lot of people like adams for show cars

I'll check it out.
Aero products in general are highly underrated!! I love the Rubber Care product… and no one EVER knows about it…Great suggestion!
It would be nice if you could try Carbon Collective Sateen
I'll check it out and see what it's about
Question - does any of these products harmful to aluminum rims?
they shouldnt but they are made to go on tires so be sure to remove any overspray
I have the same tires on my car and it’s a pain in the ass applying any type of dressing lol
CarPro DarSide is awesome! 👍
Yes it is!
I've been hearing great things about CarPro Darkside, definitely going to pick it up! Great comparison.
Thanks! You'll love Darkside, Carpro outdid themselves as they normally do with new products.
Why the dressings look inconsistent ?
The tire has something stuck on the surface that I can't get off.

Lone Star Tire Coating lasts up to a year with no sling and dries in minutes.

You are using a compromised tire, result could be different on regular tires, so this test is completely useless...
So send me a tire 🙃
wish the tire was better they all looked crappy
