Had a 59 Sportster hardtail chopper. Got it in Vegas as it was a show chopper. Once I did what a bike is for,it went down hill within a few months. Found out it was a trailer queen. Only had a mag/kicker with a head light and tail light. I lost my copy as this was the Vegas Chopper on cover of Easy Riders in mid 80s. Had a beautiful Eagle on gas tank.

Nice video; nice "rescue" indeed! But I'll leave my comment; a "big-yay!"-kind of comment, about what she says, as if talking to "Lilly-Jene" as their first woman-to-machine conversation; the introduction one to another starting at the 14:00 minute. Finishing her statement capturing her blissful moment by framing herself through the reflection of that metal panel at 14:17. That was poetic!
    Congratulations!

Yeah the hogkillers seat are a sweet classic design, might be too wide for my liking, but would look sweet on a stock set up. and honestly if it has any riding issues (like starting, shifting) i wouldnt pay more than $2k for a 80s ironhead. Might have to travel a little to get a good deal, but theres soo many ironheads out there, its a gamble always when buying older bikes, good luck!! 😊

79, 80 and 81 where the worst years for iron heads, (not that there bad) engines stout! I had an 80 my dad's had it since 93. I know everything about those suckers from 57 till 03 an all changes over the years. the only difference between 80 and 81 was the starter stuck out past the sprocket cover on the 80. 81 it was tucked in. A different starter. 82 Harley came back to America they changed frames to the newer style from 82 to 03 oil bucket an battery. I never even messaged with the rubber mounted ones 04 an up...🤷 At least it wasn't a 79 with that ugly rear master cylinder at the top of the sprocket cover and cockeyed rear pipe! That was the worst year by far to look at stock anyways...😂

@@ironheadsally hey, I’m down with your jam , to each their own, I’m 70 yo and you and your man are copying my life- owned and drove trucks for 41 years. I’ve owned HDs since I was 15 - I’ve owned and or built 44 Harley’s - 7 irons , 4 knuckles and a ton of pans. 2 EVOs and most recently a couple blockheads ( not a fan) just saying I got a little experience- but you do you 👍
