I hear ya man, so many posers are ruining shit, gatherings are turning into fashion shows, you nailed it the polishing rags not oil rags, yes, good video n the truth spoken
Thanks Mark! It had to be said, i love seeing awesome bikes but i wanna know they are ridden and being used to their potential. U go to the fancy fancy bike shows and wonder if the engines ever even ran, or have pistons ya know. crazy what this all turned into. Lol thanks for checking us out! 🤩
I hear ya, we have Friday the 13th over here in port dover ontario canada, Used to be riders, now its posers, fkn flea market booths of crap, n wanna be bikers, I started attending back in the mid 80's, stopped going 10yrs ago, I now proudly wear a hat I had made, "Fuck Dover", great review, good vid, oh ya, and i luv that hardtail you're riding
Maybe one day I'll get to ride my shovel down there from Mississippi. It's not a chopper per say, but it is a thrown together shovelhead. I hope that counts.
I love you guys. I'm in northwest Indiana. I have found it nearly impossible find real bike people. Anything and everything I get involved with or go to is just like you explained edr.
It is very difficult, most people we have found that appreciate pre-evo era bikes don’t ride anymore. The rallies just arent fun anymore, same shit and expensive lol
Loved the coverage of EDR 2023. Todd from our channel rode down and back from AZ--threw a rod and had to leave the chopper for a couple weeks at a friend's house but he got it back across the border and fixed up. 👍
Appreciate it! Thank youuu! Soo cool i watch ur channel 😄 ooof god thing he got it all fixed up, its always something riding sketchy choppers many miles lol!! Cheers!
Great video. Good ride !! Glad things are turning out fun. Too bad there weren’t more bike games. Got my softtail custom all ready for summer now. Spending this rainy crappy weather here in the springs working on the ol truck. Have a good ride home !!! 👍
Awesome video! So many people are afraid of Mexico, mainly those who've never been there. I spent some time in Ciudad Acuna last summer and had the time of my life. Everyone I encountered welcomed me with open arms.
Oh that sounds great! I bet there were some gorgeous views! So true people that don’t travel just don’t get it, the world is full of welcoming people ready to share their culture. Life’s a garden, dig it! 😄
Good video! Absolutely agree with what your saying. I must admit I fell in to that trap when I bought my 16' Road Glide. Had it 4 months, sold it and went back to old school. Now I got a 94' Heritage Evo that never gets trailered (unless its broke down and cannot be fixed on side of the road).
Oh absolutely! Its like watching zombies experience everything thru their phone, they wanna take insta videos but dont want to talk to u about the bikes they are taking pictures of lol its everywhere. Cheers KD! Thanks for watching
imagine the o.p. putting her makeup on and checking her look in the hotel mirror adjusting the little napkin on her head before going out to film herself around the other bikers
A purist lol one that does not need to fall into any group 😎 riding unmolested shovels when so many refuse to even run carbs. I’ll just call that real 🤩
Loved your video !!! I hear where you are coming from. I rode choppers all my life. ( That's all i could afford) 06 was the first new bike i ever bought. Being 71 years young, my body was starting to let me down. I still make my scoot what i want, but it's not like the old days. I don't go to many events anymore, mostly because of your comment about " polish rags, not oil rags." I'm more of an oil rag guy !!!
Yes Bruce! Thanks for checking it out, and thats great ur still riding, these damn young ppl (like me) have no clue! I remember old biker parties when my parents would bring me along as a child and you don’t see much like that anymore. No time for polish rags when u and the bike are covered in oil 😂😂 love it!
Much respect to you n husband for great video s, the kids biker today. Don't know the 70s life style you live. I got bike photo s on wall. 1979 chopper, dirty clothes just to clean the bike. The 70s biker music. California dreaming dream n etc. I can't wait get inc plates ten days back on road. Been down 4 years
I've been to EDR a few times now and you're spot on with the instagram thing and the whole run turning into a rally. Yeah, they shut down the races cause that one guy crashed into the crowd, but he only crashed into the crowd because some guy literally stepped out onto the track to film the finish. The rider tried to swerve around the guy filming but his front wheel washed out, he corrected, and then he veered off into the crowd... so I mean, who's fault was it? Overall the "rally" is pretty safe and easy going now, so I guess that comes at a price. Some people said that the run was lame this last year, but I still enjoyed it. I always make sure to watch the sunrise over the Sea of Cortez each year. I'll continue to go each time as I've met some amazing people there and along the way. It's become a tradition for all of us now. And like everyone says, the journey there and back is the most fun.
No shit! Well that sure makes sense, someone video taping is the reason they axed the races, figures. lol yeah the rally itself was cool, the adventure there was epic, lol thats what all the trailer queens are missing. Hope they keep doing it, cheers!
This lil run is really starting to get very popular. Hoping to make that run when my surgeries heal. I'm just completely burned out on most rallies cus of overcrowded Ness n cops. Glad u guys enjoyed it. My intensions r just to make it there n back in one piece.
Hope u heal up quick! And i totally agree with the rallies, alot are turning into the same ol same. We keep looking for the smaller, less commercialized runs. where they still keep it real lol! Cheers and ride safe!
3 of us old guys made the 4200 mile roundtrip from Alberta, Canada to EDR 23. This was my 8th EDR and there have been a lot of changes over the years but it's still my favorite event. You never know, we might try it again tn 25!
I guess like anything else when word catches on things get to big and it makes them less cool. I would love to hit up EDR one time though definitely a bucket list item. Your ironhead is a sweet looking ride.
Me and my good friend rode our bikes all the way from Denver also. I don’t have Instagram. Two years ago I was there and they had the circle of death and that was pretty cool. Sad to see it go. Ruben’s camp had a lot of damage from the hurricane, and it was sad to see they were charging when it used to be free. It did seem like some things have changed but overall most of it stayed the same the people that is hopefully we’ll see you out here in Denver someday
Cheers Michael, it was a great time all in all for sure. Sooo many cool bikes! We’ll be out that way this weekend. Wide Open Saloon and the Stage Coach in Franktown are on the list lol
You sound like an old biker I to cannot stand to see gigantic million dollar Mobile buses pulling trailers with $50,000 Harley‘s on it they only take them off to do short little rides they don’t camp they stay in this expensive trailer and it just doesn’t feel the same does it Back in the 80s in San Diego we bikers had club parties out in the mountains. It was a wild time everybody slept on the dirt. We had a generator for a band. Lots of kegs lots of everything else and it would last three days no merchants selling anything so it’s nice to find girl bikers representing online, you keep putting out videos. I’ll keep watching. Be safe out there live hard and ride long.
Hell yeah that sounds awesome! Thanks for joining Jas. We are searching for those types of parties, no vendors besides ppl selling homemade shine ya know 😜 i know more people are out there that truly enjoy motorcycles and dont just have trailer queens. Cheers and I appreciate the support. There are people out still keeping the true old school culture alive 🤘
That’d be sweet! I’m used to most events being bagger central. Not hating on baggers but theres nothing like beating the crap outta ur ratty bike in the dirt with other ratty bikes 🤩
Ever so common, OMG your gonna ride a motorcycle to Mexico? Too dangerous, always from people who never go to Mexico, my opinion is that, Los Angeles has pot holes, LAPD is very scary, behavior is the determining factor, loved seeing the choppers, loved seeing the women riders, love being in Mexico, Loved seeing all the motorcycles parked on the Marecon, I booked a hotel, I ride a bagger, I had a lot of fun, great people, great food, great time.
Thanks for watching! Had an helluva time as always. Got the road, a few good company, and old bikes, couldn’t ask for more 🤩 cheers! Ride free and ride safe!
Niiice 60 duo glide and still on the road? Thats great, you’ve done you’re time on the choppers, lived it 🤩 I’ll try to ride em as long as possible. I still have an evo fxr for most long distance touring, these bikes werent built for today’s highway speeds lol
Omg i know! I saw pix and was kicking myself for not making it! Hard to get over the passes that early in the season tho where i’m at, definitely gonna shoot for it next year
Not everyone appreciates craftsmanship, thats ok. I’m proud of the work my husband and I did to take a stock ironhead frame and make it lighter and ride better for me. (Built not bought) Thankfully we build bikes for our own satisfaction instead of just buying a twin cam softtail 😘 thanks for watching tho
Yes, we been following this event for years and was super stoked! But it’s just another whatever event lol it’s all about the ride and the adventure on the way lol cheeers!
I hear ya man, so many posers are ruining shit, gatherings are turning into fashion shows, you nailed it the polishing rags not oil rags, yes, good video n the truth spoken

Heck yeah it counts, that’s quite a ride!
It's all about the ride to the destination point. Nothing worse seeing bikes being trailered !!! Thx for the vid !
Yes its all the ride and the craziness that comes with the road lol! Poor bikes sitting on trailers just want to go play lol, thanks Doug!!
I love you guys. I'm in northwest Indiana. I have found it nearly impossible find real bike people. Anything and everything I get involved with or go to is just like you explained edr.

Circle of death ended in 21 after a bike went into the crowd. Good old days there was the cocktagon. 🤘⚡️🤘✨✨
Yeah thats shitty ppl got hurt, but what happened to safety third? I was looking forward to the cocktagon tooo!
I just got in to bikes 04 fxti 113 583cam (1&2) I like 94-98 fxst Evo.
Liked your video.
Great video. Good ride !! Glad things are turning out fun. Too bad there weren’t more bike games. Got my softtail custom all ready for summer now. Spending this rainy crappy weather here in the springs working on the ol truck. Have a good ride home !!! 👍
Awesome, thank youu! Hope that weather clears up soon fer ya!
Shout out to you and everyone else that toe a chopper down there. Hope to do this run next year on my sporty

Not fair, I told you guys to have fun! Lol
LoL true true! U did

Thanks Damon! And thats awesome EVO all day soo reliable, cheers
The entire social media posing sh*t has destroyed so many subcultures in my opinion. Props to you for riding down there!

Good shit ❤ keepin it real
Your dead right Sally. It doesn't matter what you ride, it's still the same wind.
Not Hispanic, not a Dyna Bro, not a chopper, in what group do I fall with my 40 year old stock shovelheads ? Maybe I am just an old man 🤔 ?
A purist lol one that does not need to fall into any group 😎 riding unmolested shovels when so many refuse to even run carbs. I’ll just call that real 🤩
Instagram fashion show lol. I agree. Nice job.

Hello from Lake Havasu City...
Cheers Ray! Thanks for checking it out, I speak my mind, honest and real.
I guess like anything else when word catches on things get to big and it makes them less cool. I would love to hit up EDR one time though definitely a bucket list item. Your ironhead is a sweet looking ride.

You road that far on a iron head rigid I'm impressed!
Thank you Mark! The bike did great, engine wise, it is tip top, and i’ve stripped everything that could fall off besides me 🤣 lol
I hate crowds… looks like a nightmare to me
But, I like your review, philosophy and attitude
Thanks! Appreciate it, it was a lot of “peopling” for my taste, we just wanted to see a buncha sweet choppers lol! Cheers!
A buddy and me are planning on going to edr 2025 riding from Washington state on shovelheads!
That sounds like an epic ride 🤩

Wait so they don’t do a run from Temecula Cali, and then across Mexico anymore
I'm in Texas, one day you'll see me on the road. Ride Safe!
Cheers and hope too! We trying to hit some TX adventures later this year
Sportster are the best!
I can’t believe someone would trailer there bike down there! Sad
Most events we go to seems to be more and more trailering, and less riding
@@ironheadsally ya it’s unfortunate. My wife and I are leaving next week, riding form Red Wing MN to key West FL.
@aspipes138, wow that sounds like it’ll be an awesome adventure! Enjoy

Y’all need to come to florida.
I miss that area sooo much! I agree!
Hard-core riding...trailer queens don't do nothing for me. Hope you had an excellent time.
Thanks for watching! Had an helluva time as always. Got the road, a few good company, and old bikes, couldn’t ask for more 🤩 cheers! Ride free and ride safe!
Is this Baja California?
Yes, San Felipe up HWY 5 in Baja
Like good pictures of bike's
Hey I am 72 years old . I ride a 60 duo guide swing and over 1 million miles in my life time no more choppers for me. You can't ride one forever
Niiice 60 duo glide and still on the road? Thats great, you’ve done you’re time on the choppers, lived it 🤩 I’ll try to ride em as long as possible. I still have an evo fxr for most long distance touring, these bikes werent built for today’s highway speeds lol

@ironheadsally it will probably get ruined also over time but for now looks good.
Thats my worry, by the time we make it to some events its already commercialized and too popular lol thanks Blake!
don’t get the obsession with hardtails. seems a little hipster to me. dare i say, a little poseur.

(Built not bought) Thankfully we build bikes for our own satisfaction instead of just buying a twin cam softtail 😘 thanks for watching tho
Yep, your right, it is no longer a chopper run. Mexican MC’s ruined it
Well all the people that trailered down there got rid of the “run” part of it 🤣 lol
It's dead Jim. Footage of 2011 had me wanting to go.
Yes, we been following this event for years and was super stoked! But it’s just another whatever event lol it’s all about the ride and the adventure on the way lol cheeers!
I ride my clapped out shit to the EDR... Trailers move toilet paper cheers
Hell yeah man, thats the only way to do it 🤘
Trailering a bike ?
That IS sad.
What a lame trend. 👎
i’d love to see more RIDE IN only bike shows! I wanna see mud and dirt on that bike in the show LOL!
Love it!!!
