- This is the new for 2022 Black Bay GMT S&G on the bracelet. In this video I share the details, my impressions, and show it next to the all steel Pepsi GMT. It is a very sharp watch in person. Congrats to Jason! Excellent pick up and it was great meeting you.

I've had my S&G Rootbeer for about 5 weeks. It's my new favorite watch. It looks much better in person. The matte gold against the steel is subtle and perfectly elegant and sporty. The colors blend nicely with the cream colored markers. This color combination softens the black dial and bridges with the rootbeer color on the bezel. The weight and proportions are excellent and it wears comfortably. The S&G is more expensive than the steel or the steel on leather but the steel version is equally gorgeous. Highly recommend checking out the 41mm version.
My others are (nothing super special) 3 Oris, 2 Hamiltons, 3 Japanese Automatic Seikos, 3 Raymond Weils and 1 Mont Blanc.
Just bought one...and its absolutely stunning. Craftsmanship is superb. Wearability is superb. Highly recommend this watch!
Was fortunate to call a random AD and they just received the watch an hour earlier and offered me the chance to purchase. Can’t wait to take delivery early next week and thanks for the awesome review sir!

I’ve had mine for two months now. Thanks for a great review. I can honestly say it’s so much better in person, no video or picture seems to do it justice. An absolutely beautiful piece and I love the size. My wrists are about 6.75 inches but somehow it looks perfect imo

The root beer is very nice in person I have to agree. It’s warm on the eyes. Classy.
It's a great looking watch, but I prefer it on the brown leather strap.
My S&G BB Chrono came with the bracelet. I bought a Crazy Horse leather strap from Etsy. Amazed by how good the leather strap suits the Tudor.
Got mine last week and can’t stop wearing it. Totally the stand out in this collection for me.
Any problems with sliding it underneath your cuffs?
@@samuelchow3425 no not really, but I find myself wearing it looser than I’d like because of the stature of the watch. A little bit more comfortable that way when it’s loose, so it slides around a fair bit. But it’s either that for me or deal with an extra tight bracelet

I own a BB GMT since one year and 4 months ago (stainless steel) and still I love it. I'm really happy with it in every single way and works perfectly. The new one, S&G, is really nice as well but in my opinion, I prefer the steel one.

This is my favorite Tudor release from W&W. I absolutely love it when I see it, but I also wonder if I would wear it enough/would it fit into my style long term. I don't wear any two-tone watches now, and brown isn't really something I wear much. I think the Pepsi might be more versatile and definitely more casual, but it's a tough call. The rolled/capped gold portions of the mid-links and the crown don't bother me as it would likely be out of reach for me otherwise. It's not just plated so I'm not worrying about it wearing through easily.
I picked up the new opaline dial Pepsi in august: AD gift wrapped it for Xmas so I haven’t seen it since but it look great in the flesh & cant wait to inbox it at Christmas!
I absolutely love this watch! I actually like the Rivet covers on the bracelet however if I could make any change I would like to see them add an easy link half link adjustment like my DJ 41 and my Speedmaster Racing. My wrist swells and there is no easy way to adjust the size to accommodate wrist swelling. Thanks for the review!

There are good reasons why Tudor don't use AR coating on the outside of the crystal, but it can make taking good pictures more difficult. Great watch, and great video as always brother.

I've asked my Longines AD if I can and they said they likely won't see them for about a month or so

I'm (of course) on a list for a GMT Master II, but looking to travel before I ever "get the call" if ever, lol. So, the Longines piqued my interest in the meantime...
For me the capped gold in the bracelet is a no-go. However, the strap version is amazing, I’ve tried it at my AD and looks great!
Just received mine after buying it new from a flipper for just $300 over retail on the bracelet. I always say don't buy over retail but in this case I did. When I went to my AD they said they had a wait list of over 25 people and I knew this meant a 2 year wait, so I bought it. There is something really cool and great about this GMT. I owned the BB Pepsi GMT and sold it away after about a year. That too was a great watch but the way this new GMT two tone bracelet just fits the color way of the brown on the bezel and the gilt indices and hands makes this stand out subtly in a very good way. Two tones with bracelet don't always look good on many watches. On this one it's the only way to go. I was leery at first and this being my first full on two toned watch I was a little cautious. But this is just too good! By the way this watch looks much better in person. Looks a little flashy on camera but it's not.
I own 1 too but I do have to say that at night it does look kinda flashy but crazy good looking
Very beautiful watch, I was already very tempted with the regular GMT but this one is also a stunner.
I was pretty hyped for this watch on the leather strap. Saw it in person yesterday on the bracelet and again today on the NATO, and it didn't do anything for me. Now I gotta go check out the new Longines Zulu Time watches, the other new release that got my interest.
It is stunning on leather. I tried it on bracelet and on the leather strap today and, in my opinion, this watch just takes on a whole new look on the strap. The gold effect is more subtle and it radiates warmth. I would love to own one, but would find it hard to decide between this watch and the Pepsi (which I have pined after for years now).
I'm very very lucky to own this piece and it's phenomenal in person. You really have to see and feel it in person.
Just picked up mine, second your comment, photos literally dont do justice to this piece. In person, it looks so much better.
Outside in the sun, it's simply gorgeous & not OTT blingy.
I bought one at Brent L Miller and i love it. It's my go to watch when wearing a Rolex isn't the smartest thing to do.

Not normally what I would I go for but I like it. I like the warmth. I’m gonna pick one up.
People complaining about the non-solid gold links seem to forget Rolex used hollow gold links on the Rolesot watches. They didn't use solid links up to modern times (when prices went trough the roof). I will take gold capped stainless links oner hollow good any day. Hollow gold links stretch like crazy.

Just as a reminder to those who complain about the bracelet not being solid gold in the center links, this wrapped gold bracelet is way less prone to stretching than solid 14-18k gold centerlink bracelets, and it's definitely not going to flake, so I personally see its as a win-win, I mean, it's a good quality steel centerlink wrapped in a thick layer of hard gold alloy. Gold watches are becoming really hard to produce due to increased demand as Central Banks are moving fast to gather as much of precious metals on their portfolio of reserves as they can. Have any of you tried to buy gold recently, it's tricky. They are keeping the oz at low prices so the big players can buy, but if you're an average Joe it's becoming harder and harder to buy physical gold. You can buy paper gold, contracts of gold to mined in the future et cetera, but physical gold...it's really tricky.
Take a vacation trip to Turkey. Buy all the physical gold you want

Thanks, that’s a big NO. Solid gold is always better and scratch issue fucking dumb. Just use a Jeweller’s cloth or get it polished. But this clasp? NO way. No wonder Tudors are poor Mana roles aligns perfectly with their cheap thinking.

This makes no sense, it's not tricky at all to buy physical gold. It literally couldn't be easier, you go online and order the gold and it gets shipped to you. Nothing tricky at all.
I don't like Pepsi bezeled watches and have never been a fan of two-tone watches, yet this particular combination speaks to me.

You like it more than me. Colors just seem ‘drab’. I have a $130 homage to the Rolex GMT Master - it’s colors have more pop.
Glad Tudor is making GMTs - that are obtainable at MSRP- but need to up their designs.

I’m not sure on the gold colour. Would look better in rose, but then it would look too similar to the Rolex root beer. You’re right though, it looks better in person than in photos
After seeing one, I've ordered. There stunning!! I've had the pepsi, this is much nicer to me (personal choice) I've chopped in the older black bay chronograph model against it and will pay the difference. My Tudor is the watch I change and chop in. There fab watches though! I just could not resist after seeing one in the flesh😂😂
The folks on the Rolex Forum are saying that they are still having date wheel issues with 2022 models. Rolex has been around for 117 years and they still can't figure out a date complication. Seriously?
Rolex is the first to have the date window on wrist watch, and invented the quick set date complication. Pretty sure Rolex figured this complication out not just the for themselves, but for the industry as a whole a long time. ago. Also, Tudor is awesome, and of course part of the Hans Wilsdorf Fondation, but they are not Rolex, and doesn't use Rolex movements. Never heard or seen any date window issues with these new Tudor GMTs, but if there are, it has nothing to do with Rolex. Odd comment on a video about Tudor GMT. Obsessed much?! Guessing you are an Omega fan boy?
I feel like they missed an opportunity to bring back the brown and yellow bezel but it still looks great!
Man could you do any other video of the new Navitimer? 😅 perhaps in the other sizes and colours? I’m in love with the new one and would love to hear more about the entire range.

(This GMT just isn’t for me :/ I’m not a fan of any kind of gold tbh. I think they did a far better job with the BB pro. I tried it on and it was great on my wrist)

My AD called me and told me the root beer on bracelet just came in so when I saw it in person, I bought it on the spot, it was just super nice. First day wearing it, it did feel kinda heavy and I was scared that I will get uncomfortable on longer walks. Fast forward couple days, I wore it for 8 hours walking and doing activities and it doesn't bother me
Its a handsome beast . Had the Pepsi and a fantastic watch in many ways . However like many the chunk was too much . I wear my watches loose and rolled all over the wrist like a juggernaut, in the end couldn’t live with it .. interesting note I went into my local AD and was told that on the new GMT’s they were only getting one delivery of a few per year . When they are gone that’s it . Sounds as if we may not see too many floating about .

Hey Bruce... How do you feel the Longines Zulu Time stacks up with the Tudor BBGMT or BBpro? I'm looking for an everyday work GMT (Don't want to ding up my BLNR too much). Is it worth the $1200-1500 premium in your opinion?
I am waiting to see the zulu in person. From specs vs price one can't argue against the value aspect! I'm hoping it's as exciting in person as it looks from pics
i wish i have large wrist i will buy this in a blink. Why tudor dont make good looking watch in smaller size.

It's such a lovely watch.. except for the bezel. I just can't get past it. I kind of hate it. I suppose they're going for more or a retro thing like old aluminium-bezel Submariners, but for my taste I think the ceramic bezels on the modern Rolex GMTs with inset numerals look about a hundred times nicer. If they had that I'd be buying one this instant, credit card debt be damned.

If we ignore that we are buying this watch because we cannot afford the Rolex version, then the Pepsi s&g looks the absolute business, the plain steel just doesn’t cut it. You don’t need a big wrist to carry this watch, you need confidence, if you don’t have confidence, don’t buy this watch because it gets noticed. Pet peeve, I wish it had drilled lugs because it’s an absolute strap monster.
I dig the rootbeer but for every day use i prefer the steel.

an addendum to the video, the crown is not solid gold, it is capped. And the bezel is solid gold but with an aluminium insert.

Stainless steel for me all day long. Maybe when I'm 55, will think of Two tone.
Too big and thick for my little arm but a really good looker. I really hope Tudor never goes ceramic. There's some Rolex I like in ceramic but the aluminum almost always looks better to me....and it ages with the watch for those of us who wear em like we stole em!
I believe the crown is cap gold as well. Not solid.
Got the root beer Glycine GMT instead…thinner with 2893 and Far friggin less cost.
talking about two different league of watches though... Tudor is not trying to compete with Glycine(Invicta)

Still Pepsi for me, and it is about the yellow, rolled gold.
I a predicting that if Tudor makes a GMT in a 39mm case with a rotating bezel it will be in an all black package, ie black bezel, black dial, red GMT hand…
It's gonna take them a really long time to change the size of their movement, which I'm assuming that's why their watches are so thick especially any ones with date complications

Tudor seem to be copying rolex alot now, like a second tier rolex brand, which they are
" poor man's rolex tribute watch brand"
As I understand it, the crown is gold capped, not solid gold.

I do respect Tudor...but calling this a rootbeer is unjust for the real rootbeer. The colors do not blend in anywhere near the real one does with rose gold... stick with steel only for Tudor

If you buy with the strap option (better) then it is only the crown that is wrapped. This is no issue at all and the watch looks simply fantastic. I have 15 watches including Panerai and Rolex and this is top of the tree for me and my go to watch as it is so special. Superb watch.

I don’t understand the obsession with thin . Watches. I think this is a beautiful piece, if I already didn’t have the Diet Pepsi GMT I would consider it. I have a bigger wrist so I don’t care if the watch is thick and/or big.
I've tried on the Pepsi version & they aren't that bad, the thickness issue is exaggerated imo!
I’m with you Andrew. I own the Pepsi and the thickness is definitely exaggerated by RUclipsrs. Plus it’s designed for traveling. It’s comforting to know this watch has heft and can take on an adventure. I don’t own a Rolex GMT but If I did I’m not sure I’d travel with it. The Tudor GMT has been a great travel companion.

Don't like the hands. Wish the gold was polished like the Rolex. Don't like the steel bezel. Wish it was ceramic. I could live with wrapped gold. Just don't like the execution. Not a fan of Matte.
Until they sort out the movement problems I aint buying one.

They messed up on the clasp, should of had gold going down the middle, rolex has already upgraded. Its still a nice watch but it would have been nice. Rolex is king
I own the Tudor Pepsi but think this is awful. It just says Poor man's root beer to me. Also gold capped just doesn't seem right when describing "luxury" even though it's entry level.

I'd rather pay more and get solid gold, also no gold on the clasp doesn't look right to me. Big fan of the channel, I'm similar to you always chopping and changing my collection haha.
I own a Rolex Pepsi, I never thought the Tudor pepsi to be a poor man's Pepsi. I own the Tudor GMT rootbeer, I don't think it's a poorman's rootbeer. You buy a Tudor because you want a bolder vintage style. If you buy a Tudor to scratch your Rolex itch, you will never be satisfied.
