I heard that Victoria recently committed suicide in her tent on Skid Row. Every time I’d see Victoria she’d smile at me but it was always one of those smiles that made me sad. So tragic.

Some men are just SICK and deserve to be punished. For each of the videos in which the person was obviously a child when being beaten, molested and/or raped, I wish they could go back and have criminal charges filed. The trauma from abuse of any kind, can last for years. People DO NOT understand how this pain, can transform lives into horror stories. Individuals use severe methods to cope, i.e. drinking, self medicating with drug use, committing crimes, and having sex. Again, I pray for each and every individual who has the courage to share their story and pain; in order to make awareness, start the healing process or as a cry for help.

      The Tarot Tea.
I can just about let you off because you’re young and had a very poor childhood, but the actual fact that you thought to write “never judge a book by its cover” is disturbing enough, that means you’ve contemplated doing that before you reminded yourself not to. Also don’t ever think everybody is the same as you, there are millions of people who wouldn’t “judge”, who wouldn’t even use that despicable word, so just because you’re thinking that - don’t assume everybody else is, that’s a rudeness I would never ordinarily put up with.

I'm sure many will be blessed by the work you're currently doing and plan to do in the future! My best friend started with pills and moved into heroin recently. It's been a heartbreaking experience seeing her 3 kids and family suffer along side of her. Initially I started out looking for answers, tactics on how to get her to rehab, but honestly all I've found has been pain in others stories. I commend you for being selfless and caring enough to help strangers! I still have a little too much judgementalness in me to be able to fully empathize and not jump to conclusions. I pray that God can help me work through that, I hate that about myself. I don't wanna sound all hokey, but there's something about energy, which a lot of people like to call "luck" because they can't really explain how you can keep attracting the same type of situations. It's energy, once you have that "victimized" energy on you, other predators will sniff you out, and that energy will repel decent people who don't wanna deal with drama or just aren't predators. What this poor woman should have done (and most of these interviewees need) is get herself some therapy, and stayed there, and at least shifted her mindset before ever hooking up with anyone, let alone having any kids. Same thing happens with money, love, and other "good" luck as well.

This one… wow. So many mixed feelings because after reading she’s passed- I feel this sense of relief for her. I’m grateful she is freed from all the trauma that has happened to her. But, of course, I am sad for all that she could’ve been. I’m sad for how she was treated by those that raised her and the men she was with. Sad that she lost her children- who were likely the only ones that ever loved her like she deserved to be loved. I just felt so many things- mostly this deep sadness because of her melancholy laugh and her disbelief that she couldn’t even kill herself in previous attempts. Most of all, I just wanted to hug her and tell her to cry in my arms so I could just hold her tight, as a mom. Hearing her say “all I wanted to be was loved” cracked my heart, because she didn’t even need to say it. Her story reflected that. Sweet, sweet Victoria- you were a beautiful person and I’m so sorry for how life played out for you. I’m thankful you are free now and that no one can ever hurt you again ❤

So much pain and suffering in Victoria’s soul...it genuinely breaks my heart. I know how it is to be abused by those you love, and to lose trust in people entirely because of your past. If you have an addictive personality, you will find whatever you can to numb your pain, and latch onto it like it’s your only lifeline.
Victoria, if you ever see this, I have so much love for you. I know that your pain is immense. I know you feel as though you lost everything. But you are still you. You are full of such beauty, such radiance, such passion. You are intelligent and eloquent, and more determined than most people I’ve ever met. You deserve to be clean and happy. You are not what‘s been done to you.

It's astounding how this poor, sad soul, is still alive, after she's been busted up so many times. She seriously needs help and to be within a sincere, loving environment, because killing the pain with drug addiction, is an invitation to more abuse. She needs to know and believe, she's worth a whole lot more, and get serious help, anyway possible. I pray she finds peace and love. She's definitely worth it. This poor woman and her unhealed heart and mental state breaks my heart. If she had been given honest love as a child, she may have had more of the self esteem she needed to leave the men, who mistreated her, sooner. And she may have had the self esteem to strive for more, to strive for better partners than those she was drawn to. I am in no way saying she went into these relationships knowing how awful those men would be towards her. I do recognize that in most new relationships, both participants try to only show our best qualities until we can't hide our bad traits anymore...and by that time, both parties are usually emotionally invested, and stick it out, trying to see passed the flaws. It's clear to me that she never felt worthy of more than what she had growing up. Being loved unconditionally is something that can carry us through our lows, as well as our life highs. When one doesn't receive that unconditional love and protection a child needs and yearns for, it more often than not, sets him/her on a path of self destruction, caused by that inner turmoil that was never addressed and healed. I feel for this woman. She has lived a hard life.

I agree. I was also thinking of what i was taught in an addiction/mental health trauma course is that it is so important to ensure victims leave feeling safe by methods such as grounding. I know the interviewer probably does not have extensive counselling skills but it is so important after full disclosures such as these where chances are they have never received professional help and maybe the 1st time ever sharing their story. Just a thought.

@@Lulumelon333 At 29:27 Victoria states she has schizoaffective disorder which is the standard diagnosis when there is also another major disorder, often bi-polar, affecting the person. I would wonder if Victoria is on or has looked into SSI for her mental health issues. If so, she would be able to qualify for Medicaid / Medical which would allow her to access proper care to get he either on, or back on, the right medications which could help balance her moods and thinking, at least to a significant degree, if she stayed on them.
Also, with access to Medicaid / Medical, she could seek treatment for the cancer she says she has.
It's obvious this lady is in deep distress, emotional pain and truly needs help from professionals to help her stabilize and get off the streets into a better living situation.
Also, as I watch some of these videos I agree, that there are many people who have had some heartbreaking situations in their lives as very young children. Situations they cannot control but suffer from.
However I am also aware that when one is dealing with individuals who have significant mental impairment -- either from an organic disorder, brain trauma or traumatic events / circumstances; they can have problems discerning what actually happened and the reality they've created within their mind. This does not mean what they claim did not happen, only that sometimes events and situations can be altered to make them appear always the victim.
I wish that the site creator would do some outreach to people or groups in social services / mental health outreach, because it would be beneficial to the men and women he interviews. To have the option of having someone to contact who could try to help them access services they need. Often the biggest issue beyond lack of sufficient access to community mental health, is the daunting maze of paperwork and beauracracy .

I do not agree with that statement. I have been through living hell and I am a recovering heroin addict and cocaine addict and everything addict and suffered with severe depression and anxiety disorder as well as every possible roadblock One can be faced with. I was so low there were times I thought I would never smile again, however, WEDOrecover and that is what people don't understand. Human beings are a lot more resilient than they purport us to be. haven't you ever watched a documentary or a Special Report where a particular individual has been through tumultuous and horrific situations and Lifestyles, however, the day that they are telling their story to the journalist oh, they appear as a completely different person than the reflective photo they keep flashing at the beginning of the special. The reason for this being is we are capable of overcoming most traumatic and horrific mental spiritual emotional and physical abuse. A good example of this would be the three girls who were kidnapped and held as prisoners for over a decade by Ariel Castro and I'm sure that they have their moments and they are Marge by there memories of these horrific atrocities but they survived. Not only did they survive but they went on to have children and families and I are leaving leading normal lives. Obviously you believe in God and believe in his ability to ability to pull humans through unspeakable transgressions so 2 assume that she will never have a feeling of peace well she's alive is totally disregarding hope and everything that gods teaches us to be like so that we are able to actually grow and mature because in times of extreme duress or trauma most people stop developing and are not even close to being mature enough for the age in years however, once they pick up where they left off and where the trauma started and were then set free in their minds and their spirits and regained hope and maybe a little bit of trust now lead reasonably happy and healthy lives With the exception of life just as it is, nobody is happy all the time. The bottom line is do not disregard or give up hope because once you're stripped of everything internally and externally the only things you have are hope and whatever you managed to save of your dignity--the 2 things people cannot take away from you unless you give it to them freely. I also hope she finds peace as well and I feel that if she straightened out the drug situation she will , I did and I'm not always happy but nobody is.

Michael Deluca Yes, that’s on my list. I’m sure I’ll be working on this for a very long time. I kind of regret posting so many addiction interviews but I keep meeting so many interesting people to talk to down there that I’m afraid if I stop I’ll lose many of my contacts. SWU is definitely not about drug addiction even though it sure looks that way so far. That’ll change over time. Vets will be so interesting to talk to. Thanks, ML

I have been binge watching these interviews for weeks. There has been several that have changed my life and my views immensely. I am a recovering addict and I am living proof that you can heal and learn to live in a positive way. I live in HBG PA and every chance I get I go buy as many things as I can and walk the streets in my city talking to addicts and homeless people and it is one of the most remarkable things I have done or may ever do in my lifetime. Please if you ever see this woman again tell her from me I love her from the bottom of my heart stranger or not you are loved.
