I've got a 2.0tdi 2014. Never given a days problem. Extremely fuel efficient and really quick because of weight to power ratio is so good. Comfortable enough but no luxury. Very basic interior but who cares. This engine is amazingly strong and got told by the head vw mechanic this particular engine is so good it will out live both of us. I do concur with him driving this all these years. So far the reliability is of the scale. Nothing breaks. Keep your oil changes max 10,000km. I do mine every 5000km and it shows. Mines got over 200,000km and it still pulls and drives like a new car. Really it does. I am so happy with my daily driver.
Nice video:) Got myself a 1.6 caddy about 8 months ago. Really enjoyed it:) The first time i drove it i got really surpised how easy and car like it was.
I will be changing second injector in 3 years soon,,mechanic told me a good way to clean as you drive by adding a bottle of ATF gearbox oil in the tank sometimes
That's pretty much the idea I had for the wrap on the Connect when you asked about it. Seeing as I would get a Caddy for the practicality rather than business use I'd take the 1.4TSI, might be heavier on go juice but petrol is cheaper than diesel and although overall it would work out more expensive at the pumps, at least there's no Injector or DPF hassles so worth it.
I have the 2.0 Diesel 150 with a DSG. I'm pretty sure you would have picked this engine had you tested one of these too. I think it's discontinued now, not sure, which is a shame because it's quick and very torquey. I had just shy of 1000kgs in the back recently, stupid overload but didn't want to do it in two runs. This engine pulled away effortlessly. Stopping was a bit hairy though 😬
Hello, very nice video and you are also enthusiastic about this 1.4l TSI. I have a VW Caddy 4 Maxi Highline 1.4l TSI 131 HP 7-seater model year 2020. Top vehicle (fully equipped) I bought the Caddy new in November 2020. Now it will be 4 years old in November and it runs and runs and runs. This machine has absolutely powerful torque and moves the car with ease and the petrol consumption is not more than 9 liters. Even though it has the small tank, I can do 680 km, what more could I want. I love my Car. Best regards DJ Mike from East Germany.
I bought vogues viper caddy which is a 1.4 tsi 7 speed dsg had it mapped to 185bhp pulls like a train but only thing i would say is that it is not the same engine as the golf or the polo completely different which makes it a rare van indeed 👌🏻
Very strange I have a 1.2L tsi turbo manual caddy which is super cool to drive but I believe the market for 1.2tsi caddy’s were only in Nz, Australia. Great video by the way! 🤟
Hope your vehicle insurance provider don't watch . Not only do you take both hands of the steering wheel multiple times you fail to check your mirrors also. 😮
Highway code rule 160 states that drivers should keep both hands on the wheel whenever possible. If you are caught driving with your hands off the wheel, you could face a £1,000 fine and three penalty points. You could also be fined for "not being in full control of a vehicle. Enough said
Let's not get into driving with Un-Due care & attention . When was the last time you checked your mirror as you left the house ? You are a long time Dead as is others in a road accident . enough said .

1.6 caddy , all injectors replaced . One went , then another, replaced all . Other than that, excellent van & looking at a 1.4 . Great review
Got a 1.6tdi mapped to 150hp and 420nm torque. Thing feels and is mad quick for a van

16:16 - 26 MPG?! That must be an error surely?? I got more than that from my 4.0 litre petrol Jeep Cherokee XJ and that is a known gas guzzler!
Awesome review with all true about Caddies. Just genuine experience... thanks!
I have the mk4 1.6 caddy 66000 miles, one injector replaced ,only run vpower now 🤞 hope for the best, do love the van tho might get remap soon 😊
Better than top gear 👌 very well informed this girl could sell any thing.

Great video, would love to see more so please keep at least one hand on the wheel 😘
Thank you for being honest you have just talked me out of a caddy.

How’s it going ? I don’t know if I should buy the 2.0 or this 1.4tsi
@@davidprice8333 mate the 1.4tsi brilliant i so regret selling it now but so worth the buy dsg box is so smooth and quick
Huh, mk3 1.9 is a common engine and it's not mentioned....
1.9 TDI
The connect u have is a tractor to drive but the new connect 2013 on is class to drive far ahead of the caddy i have both .
i am sticking to the 2ltd caddy van if I was buying my first vw caddy van ....

I think we get them here but extremely rare, we also get a 1.0 tsi but I don't think that would be enough in a van
2007 1.9 TDI here. It's great on fuel and a zippy little van
I’ve got a caddy maxi 1.6 and it’s already had 3 injectors so I’d say they are shit to be honest
Asz or arl pd130/pd 150 easy engine swap
Keep your hands on the steering-wheel!
Hi 1.6 engine is rubbish egr / injectors/ fule pump in the tank and it's scrap 😢
I was thinking 2ltr diesel now I’m thinking 1.4 tsi petrol..🥴🤔🤔
1.9 asz
I got 1.4TSi Maxi 6MT van, drive like stiffer touran😆
never buy a vw tsi or audi tfsi engines. Half of them have plastic oil pumps for the turbos and will fail very early in the lifecycle of the engine.
Was the exhaust on the 1.4 TSI custom built? If not where can I find one similar?
can you remove the rear seats on one of the vans and put a bulkhead in and how much would this cost?
Hi all seats are removable.
A bulk heat fitted will be £150.
2.0tfsi..
I had a 2017 caddy. Junk. Got rid after 6 months
Which engine?
Which engine & trim level?
2.0 Eco fuel.
1.6 is a great engine ☠️
Keep your hands on the wheel when you’re driving 🙄
You're gorgeous
