❤ ✅✅✅✅ I run the M1 Ghost , the pain in the Ass for me is gear box mounts . She keeps tearing gear box casings up at mount points At 250 bhp plus . She is happy around 220 .
Hi Im looking to get my dpf and egr removed from my 2017 mk4 caddy with a 2.0 TDI 102PS EU6-B, the engine code is DSFD . The dpf is pretty straight forward but im seeing conflicting opinions that once the egr is mapped out if it needs blanking plates , bypassing or nothing doing except the software . Can you offer first hand advice on what the actual working process would be please . Many thanks .
Wouldn't say that applies to most modern German engines now, plus don't forget this same engine comes out the factory in 150bhp variant which this is a detuned version of.
Thanks for the comment. The 30-70 does show good real life useful speed range. Tuned a 2020 Caddy start of this year but yet to see a 2021 but would assume they will be very similar if not the same as this 102 Caddy.
Given this engine is a detuned version of a 150bhp power output Caddy it is still within a safe reliability tolerance for the engine. Tuned many of these which are mainly used on a day to day (work vans) basis and no reliability issue due to the tuning. Hope this helps
I had love for my work caddy. Couldn’t map it as wasn’t mine. But, lost the love for vw vans after the transporter issues we had. Some mega figures there, the owner will be buzzing. Looks like a well looked after example.
@@performance_engineering no - once the car is tuned will it maintain that improved power indefinitely or will lose power with usage/time? I have a Honda Civic 10th gen 1.0 Vtec Turbo, currently 130 Bhp (approx).
@@performance_engineering mileage was about 80,000 miles The tune was done by MPE Performance I changed the clutch after 2000 miles, and now the car has about 86,000 miles and the clutch start having issues when acceleration
Wow, didn't realise it could achieve these figures. Amazing difference! Customer must be over the moon with that!
Mega number and performance from a PE Tune plus good mpg. Lol yea ticks all the boxes
Wow.... geeze... what a huge increase, customer must be well happy with that result... that's what you call a PE tune...
lol yea, such a huge improvement, drives like a complete different van and better MPG when driven economically, win win lol
Brilliant figures! Wouldn't expect anything different when adding that famous PE sauce 😎🔥
😁😁😁 PE Sauce haha these motors love it 😁👌
That's a very nice van. Ideal
Yea agreed, was a lovely Caddy
I’ve got one of these 102hp 2.0l euro 6 jobs. Now I’ll need to map it up having seen this 👍🫡
Makes such a difference, you will love it
Big gains were had here, you need to do the same comparison with the lowest stock power Ford ecoboost too!
Yea mega numbers from a PE Tune. The Ecoboosts produce similar improvements and they are becoming very popular, especially the customs
Mega performance!!! So much more useable no brainer if you ask me 😁.
That black M2 doesn’t look bad either…..
100% agree with you, extra performance and better mpg when driven economically.
That M2 alright haha.......... beauty 👌
Mega gains like, crazy! Nice bmws there also 😁
Completely transforms the caddy. Oh yes, had to get a quick feature in
How much does it consume fuel at 140 km/h, ?? thank you
MPG is very subjective and haven't tested at them speed I'm afraid but you should see an improvement in mpg when driven economically
My 2.0 caddy maxi could do with a remap like this. Was it done on standard factory hardware or did that need upgrading too?
This was done on a completely standard car, no hardware modification. Send me a email if your interested on getting it tuned

Once the EGR is mapped out in the ECU software, there is no need to put blanking plates in.
@performance_engineering thanks for the clarification.
what about the rule of thumb, anything more than 30% increase requires forged internals?
Wouldn't say that applies to most modern German engines now, plus don't forget this same engine comes out the factory in 150bhp variant which this is a detuned version of.
Great video , love the real world 30-70mph info . Have you got a map yet for the 2021 mk5 caddy 102hp ? Cheers

Welcome. Seats from what car?😅
Not sure to be honest, possibly a Touran or Passat
This is amazing but I would like to ask if are there any concerns with reliability in the long run with this tune?
Given this engine is a detuned version of a 150bhp power output Caddy it is still within a safe reliability tolerance for the engine. Tuned many of these which are mainly used on a day to day (work vans) basis and no reliability issue due to the tuning. Hope this helps
@@performance_engineering I’m very interested!!!! Thanks for getting back to me, awesome video and testing
@@Henry-ok6cd thanks Henry 👍👍
What sort of numbers would this tune push on a 05 gt golf 2L tdi
Hi James sorry but we don't cover the PD engines, only the common rail diesels now sorry
Could you do this on an older caddy like 2005 ?
You can tune a 2005 Caddy but I don't go back any later than a 2009/10
Did my 2008 Caddy with a stage 1, added 35bhp and extra 70nm of torque, reasonable gains. Feels better, less dead spots.
what about fuel economy after the tuning is it better or worse?
Typically should see around 3-5mpg improvement when driven economically
I had love for my work caddy. Couldn’t map it as wasn’t mine. But, lost the love for vw vans after the transporter issues we had.

Yea you did have a far amount of issues with your T6, the Caddy does seem to be more reliable
Lol yea he will be flying everywhere now lol
Would the 400nm+ of torque not be an issue for the dsg box ?
The DSG unit in these 2.0Tdi are very strong and probably stronger than the manual boxes. 400nm is not a problem for these
how much does this cost i have the same van

Not to sure to be honest but look like scirocco R
How long does this modification last?

@@rdm4595 providing the vehicle is well maintained etc it will stay at the tuned performance level.
Are the 2.0Tdi engine code CLC just as tunable ? (5spd manual)
Yes they should produce similar numbers
