    I’m loving the free form gradient. I’m working on a series of jewellery items with gemstones for work and this has allowed me to custom the background for each stone.

      Yes, if you add the gradients from the Appearance panel, you can stack up a lot of different effects! 🙌

      use software that actually works like it's supposed to, then import it to illustrator

      @@scotturquhart4380 Think you are right… I used to use Affinity Designer and the gradients were fantastic. Unfortunately we are stuck with Adobe at work.

    Nice. You didn't cover all the possibilities of a Gradient Tool. You didn't show the line option in Freform Gradient. Also, the main problem with Gradient in Illustrator is that it can not be saved in Swatches panel with all settings and that what is saved is not Global. Illustrator is a good platform, but it needs complete restoration.

      It's two dollars a day - for use of everything they make.
      Most professionals wouldn't drink a cup of coffee that costs that little.
      They offer deep student discounts... and twice a year on Amazing-bums,
      they sell a years sub for half price. Are they perfect... no, of course not.
      But 'evil' ...absolutely not. They're the industry winners, across most of the world.
      They make the software that fills your society with flashy advertising,
      of stuff you want to consume. They make the software that makes,
      the Capitalist West run smoothly.
      People rarely use Adobe for charity work or as purely 'amateur creatives'.
      ( Adobe actually offer free licenses to registered charities )
      There''s plenty of ( cheap or free ) creative software alternatives out there.
      Only if you want to be a 'Capitalist creative' do you really need Adobe software.
      Those people that are desperate to be successful Capitalists... use Adobe.
      If you just want to make ‘art’ - there’re many alternatives out there.
      There is no 'evil' in Adobe's intentions or actions... they're just Capitalists,
      like every other successful company in the US. They’re in it for the money,
      those that buy into their software... are in it, purely for the money.
