100%, assuming the end not on the scales was propped up to the same height as the scales are. If you want to check it you can with 2 scales and yourself. Stand on one, then stand across the two, one leg on each.
Rear break is useless , bar tape IS for weak people who cant grip things by hands and steal water on your Friends bikes like this you save weight and you have to push harder ton escape them when they get angry so it improve your physical condition 😂
I question how you weighed it. One tire on the ground while weighing both ends.. Stand on a bathroom scale look at weight and then pick up bike. Subtract first number from second.
Nice build! I have a 2014 Supersix Non Hi Mod which i built with some light weight parts and aluminum wheels. Total weight came up to 15 lbs. These iterations of the Supersix 2012 - 2019 really shine on climbing segments.
@@Macuhdohnadadoh but those are genralizations. when talking light climbing bikes, sub 14lbs is getting light. sub 13lbs is getting extreme where you start to compromise other things. also you have to consider the weight of the rider, power output and type of riding. but for light climbing bikes sub 14 is decent. 15-16lbs is good for an aero or sprinters bike and should be safe enough for 200lb guys. if youre a girl thats 120lbs why is your bike 15-19lbs or the same as a 200lb guy who max's 1-2k watts compared to the girl who maybe maxes at 400. but thats the uci's doing and ppl eat that shit up.

No way that’s 5 kilos, my supersix hi mod weighs 5.9 kilos and it’s built with much lighter parts. If it’s actually 5.1 kilos, I really got to improvise my build Great build nonetheless
gotta remember this dude has only got 1 shifter (wtf), 1 brake (wtf), no bar tape, no front derailleur (again, wtf u have 2 chainrings bro use them) and 10 speed.
If you take the fork, wheel, brake and handlebar off - you could just hold the shifter in your hand and wheelie it around. That would be sub 4kg easy
how accurate do you think that weighing method is?

I did prop up the other wheel not being weighted so it would be level. Even if it’s not 100% accurate it’s close enough to get ballpark.
close enough Ive tried it
Hahahahaha weighing the front then the back. I reckon I’ll do that one leg at a time to see how my diet is going. 😂
that part was very funny... nice bike, nice build... but there is no sense in measuring the wheight this way
Same bike, same spec and I have 6.05. Yeah good technique weighing your evo
Some interesting build-no bar tape, no rear breaks, no bottle cages-& the way you weighed that bike???
no fd

Dang! I wish I had those sort of parts just lying around!
Hello,my Focus Izalco max is 5.5,in dura ace mecanical, and tubular low profil prototype wheels. with no paint.
I love the bike, but that is no way to weight a bike and you miss the front derailleur and bar tape
There is no reason it doesn Work.

I have a supersix and with sram red 22 and no thoughts put into weight savings it's like 7.2 KG. Great bike
get a hi mod with sub 1200 grams wheels, ur not going to save much weight anywhere else, you alrdy have sram red so its a good start
@@Macuhdohnadadoh 7.2 is average. Not particularly light or heavy. The only reason why ppl think 7kg is light is because that's what they're told.

Only 1 brake? No bottle cage , no bar tape
No front derailleur
Why no rear brake?
Because it’s for going up hills.

Nice build!!!
Is the frame repaired? 3:49
Yes. A previous Sram Red derailleur failed and cracked the seat stay. Had a carbon repair done.
What's the frame size?
50cm

WHY 10 SPEED
It cant be this weight
just use a digital bathroom scale, its 100 percent accurate
