Thank you for such a thorough honest video. I love the casita camper, hoping one day to own one.
Our pleasure!
Our Casita is scheduled for delivery in September. For now, all we have are these videos. Thanks for posting them!
We hope you enjoy yours as much as we enjoyed ours.
You will love it ! Takes awhile to navigate going in and out door without hitting your head!!
@@CasitaRvLife What are the dimensions for the teakwood shower pad? Also, where did you get the roll up sink cover?
The Teak pad is 19.75 inches x 19.75 inches and here is the link where we ordered it. amzn.to/30IqLSU The roll up sink cover was purchased from Amazon and here is that link. amzn.to/3FwC2oh
@@CasitaRvLife Thank you. Please keep the videos coming.
I continue to rewatch your no-nonsense videos. Every time watch one, I pick up something more! In this vid you mention keeping your Casita covered when not it in use. Are you happy with the cover you have? What is the brand? Any insights?
Our trailer is four years old and still shiny, no oxidation of the fiberglass. I use this cover amzn.to/3qTjtsT because of the price. I usually replace it about every 1 1/2 years. For the price you can't beat it.
Beautiful little camper! Thanks for the review!
Your welcome
So far so good.looks like I'm sticking with it. Thank you for the info. I believe I made a smart choice.
Excellent!
Good review for future used or new owners - very useful
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for the review. I opted for no awning in my casita . I decided to buy a 13’x 13’ awning that is easy up and the legs go above my casita door. Then if a huge storm rolls in It doesn’t matter. Easy to replace . I have had zero issues with my Casita after a year . Just waxed our unit ! Thanks for sharing.👍
Sounds great!
Bought a Casita 17’ Spirit Deluxe in 2004. Loved it but it was too small for the two of us plus our Yorkie for extended stays on a job site. Sold it in ‘08 and lost nothing! Bought a Georgetown class A which my wife loved. Sold it in 2011 and lost my shirt! Bought a Forest River TT and it was nothing but trouble so I got rid of it. Didn’t lose much in the sale except a lot of my patience…lol. Now that I’m widowed, I’d like to have that Casita back. Great little camper!
Sorry the hear about your wife. We love our Casita and would not change it.
You’ll really enjoy having an awning. Just be sure to keep it tight when traveling, and that insurance covers and mishaps. I will be looking forward to seeing which one you two decided on !
Thanks
Thank you for this. I am considering a Casita Liberty for me but unsure if I could tow with my one ton Ford E350 Super Duty Commercial Vehicle that I would us fir storage. I believe it would be more practical for now than tiny home shepherds hut I would like to have. This was an excellent review. Be Blessed
F350 will tow it with no problems.
Great review thank you! I'm toying with buying a used Casita to possibly live in full time (single guy, no dog). Question: did you ever consider the model with the 2 captains chairs? That one appeals to me for dining and even swiveling and watching tv. I even considered pulling out one of the chairs and replacing with my own small comfy chair/ottoman. I don't have to worry about anyone else in the trailer with me, so I can do what the heck I please! Thoughts on all that? Thanks again...Jim ps I just subscribed, and will check out your website.
We chose the Liberty for the twin beds. With two people it works great. A nice chair would be great for a single person.
You’ll need a dog!
Thinking the same thing. Same situation for me
Same situation for me also
Have 35 lb Blue Heeler dog.
Thank you for the video.
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the update. That was great
No problem 👍
Yulee!!! I lived in Orange Park FL from 1995-2003 and bought a brand new 2003 Dodge Durango from Rick Keffer Dodge in Yulee!! Small world!! Live in Tampa Area now but bought land to live off grid in AZ but would rather find land or a cheap old house in the Northeast like Maine or VT/NH..
It is a small world.
have you seen folks pitch a fly cover over the trailer when they camp? high enough for ventalation, broad enough to shade the exterior windows & act as a covered outside deck... nylon, wateproof..
I have never seen that but it sounds interesting
Great review - thank you!
Your welcome
Nice review, the most valuable I've watched so far. I love your reference to "puka" Hawaiian life!
Glad you liked it!
Nice review. Thanks for taking the time to post!
Thanks for watching!
Very helpful. Thank you👍.
You're welcome!
Great review! Where did you get your mattresses? Did you have the covers made?
Here is the link. www.magicsleepermattress.com
Great review ! I see your in Florida, would this be open to look at in person? We are researching Casita as well as scamps. Casita is winning so far. We are in Citrus county Florida .
Thanks. Yes we are in Nassau county.
Great review. Fantastic additions and mods too. That sink cover looks functional who makes it? Would you buy a Casita again?
Thanks. Here is the link for the sink cover from Amazon. amzn.to/3CXWKxq
Thank you
You're welcome
Thank you fir this! Super helpful!
Excuse my simple ignorance, but what do you use to replace the rivets and what size rivets? I pick up my new to me 2916 Freedom Deluxe next weekend. The folks who owned are super nice but super not handy, and I expect there will be some little fixes if will need, like replacing rivets.
Thanks!
Here is the link to the rivet tool I use. amzn.to/3PjWoHm I order the rivets and caps from Casita. The rivets need to be aluminum and not steel.
Thx good buddy 👍
Any time
Thank you for the review! We don't get ours for another 15 months and can't wait. Where did you get your bedding? I noticed to the cushions are 82", but the twin XL are only 80'".
The initial sheets and comforter were made by Angela. We just order a new sheet set from the following company and they work great. www.ablifestyles.net
@@CasitaRvLife Thank you! I''ll check them out.
You will love your new unit ! Got us out of our tent after 60 years of tenting ! Our first RV .
@@ralphp3057 We switched from a tent to a popup when the kids were born. It will be so nice not to have to crank that this up and to be able to eat lunch in the rv while on the road.
What kind of backup camera did you put on the back of your Casita? Could you also do a tutorial on the installation of the camera? I'm picking mine up at the factory on August 3 and if I show up with my camera will they put it in for me?
Here is the link to the camera amzn.to/3n5NmAy we have a video on the RUclips channel.
Great video. Where did you get the mattresses?
We ordered them from Magic Sleeper. Here is the web address. www.magicsleepermattress.com
I see your Jeep in the video. Do you use it to tow the Casita? We are looking at something we can tow with our Jeep Rubicon.
Yes, We have been over 60,000 miles towing the Casita with this Jeep Wangler.
@@antiquenotdead7 my daughter had a Jeep Compass and I don’t think it would work.
@@antiquenotdead7
CVT aren’t good for towing
@@reyperez3424 The Subaru CVT would handle it, but most of their engines wouldn't
Was wondering if you could give out the info on the TPS system your using and what you think. That’s what I’m doing next and they seem pretty pricey so want to try and make a good choice. Looked through your videos didn’t see one. Thanks for your videos
Here is the link for the TPMS. amzn.to/3DllEGy So far I really like it.
Did you replace your rubber valve stems with metal ones?
@@mikewallace8727 The trailer came with metal stems.
How often does the TPMS system check the tire temp and pressure? Every minute, more often, less often?
@@photoguy73 the paperwork says every six seconds
Hi, new owner here of 2010 Sd deluxe. Frustrated I can't lower my tail gate of my ram 1500 truck while hooked up. Is that something you deal with and your tow vehicle?.....any work arounds?
My tow vehicle is a Jeep Wrangler, I will never be able to open the tailgate with the trailer hooked up. I am sure there are work arounds but I have never explored them. Good luck. Let us know if you find one.
@@CasitaRvLife Thanks
where did you purchase the cover for the mattress?
www.magicsleepermattress.com
One more question...Is the only place to buy is from their website in Texas?
Casita's can only be purchased new from the manufacture in Rice, Texas. You can sometimes find them used online.
Love the review! Future filming advice.. back up from what your filming - it was hard to watch
Thanks for the tip!
Where did you purchase the wire shelving in your pantry space? It looks like there are slide tracks. Do the shelves slide out?
The shelves will lift out but they have a lip that holds them in place. Here is the link where I purchased them. amzn.to/3uI71dj
Can this be towed by a six cylinder Suv? Or do you need something bigger?
The jeep we use is a six cylinder and toes it with no problem.
You added an external battery connector - where did you get it?
Here is the link. amzn.to/3xn3y5X
I didn't see a refrigerator. Or did I miss it?
It has a built-in 4 ft.³ refrigerator.
@@CasitaRvLife Thanks
May I ask what are your current dimensions of you beds?
We have the Casita Liberty and our beds are 82 x 24. The Casita Independence beds are 82 x 30.
do you do the showers inside or outside the most?? thanks
Angela always uses the shower inside. I use it most of the time and the campground showers the rest. I don't have the outside shower.
If you don’t mind me asking how much did it set you back.
To date we have spent around $24,000 with the trailer and upgrades.
Where did you get the sink cover?
Here is the link for where we bought it. amzn.to/3IXtVTM
Any issues with condensation?
no
Bummer, no dinette. Great vid though, thanx.
They have two models with a dinette
Model? Year?
2019 Casita Liberty
Pookahs?
Old navy term for small storage areas
Sounds like a lot of petty problems.
Very few problems. Couple of issues but you’ll have those with any RV.
Good looking camper.
Thanks
Are those mattresses custom made?
Yes, Here is the link to the website. www.magicsleepermattress.com
Great review. Thank you!
