@@PursuitPerfectSystem people love to compare martial Logan to bowers. I feel they both have their strengths. One thing I wish a channel would do would be do a blind A/B test of a live performance of say jazz have it also recorded and doing a side by side blind comparison to see for one if people would identify it and why also would show how speakers portray live performance vs a music recorded master. Curious to how far or close they would come.
Did you do a cm9 s2 vs 703 s2 comparassion?
No they only did the demo you see in the 3 videos I have filmed and put up for you
It's hard to really hear that difference on RUclips, was there a big improvement in sound quality to your ears?
Harry Critchley Hi Harry. I think you can hear it in the video. But yes there was a very big difference. Improved in pretty much every way. Get a listen for yourself see what you think
I'm thinking about selling my cm9s2 do you think its worth upgrading to the 703 s2 ?
that depends on what you want - do you want a better version of the same thing or something different, really boils down to that. Go and listen to some different speakers and pretty soon you will know if you want better or different or both

I really like to b&w sound and i think the cm9s are exellent speakers but i keep hearing how much better these new ones are and now i have the upgrade itch 😁
but ufortunalty I'm unable to do a direct comparison.
Harry Critchley Try listening to KEF R700, Focal Aria 936/948 or the 703 s2. In my personal opinion i wouldn't buy a pair of B&W speakers because they tend to sound a bit restrained in the mids but the fact that they have finally got rid of the Kevlar may make a big difference to the mids. I read lots of expert reviews and it seems like the speakers in the new 700 series lack dynamics and has a forward treble response which means that percussion may overshadow vocals. I still recommend listening to several speakers before deciding as you may not like the B&W signature sound. The CM9/CM8 don't have the typical B&W sound as i have noticed when i auditioned them at a shop. The 703 S2 is basically the new version of the CM9 S2 and i think you would like them more than the ones you have because the new materials do make a difference to the sound and especially the continuum midrange driver is an improvement over Kevlar.
hello there! hopefully you haven't upgraded the speakers just yet. Im actually employed in a magnolia center and we had the 704 matched next to the cm10. the results were crazy. the 700 dominated the mid range and treble. it was very impressive, given it was a $2000 vs $1249. As for the low end, the cm10 obviously offered more low end but it was more muddy since the 700 use similar technology was the 800 diamond. overall, I would say that purchasing the 703 is definitively worth it. you will experience punchier bass, completely changing mids (in a good way) and more opened treble.

Nelson Rivera Hi thanks for your reply, in the end i decided not to sell my cm9s2 for the 703s I'm sure the 703 sound a bit nicer but i would have lost a lot of money as my cm9s were only 6 months old .
I was a little disappointed when the 703s were released as i had only just bought my cm9s and the value of my current speakers dropped dramatically, (if i were buying from new i would have chosen the 703 s2 over the cm9 s2) but overall the cm9s2 are still excellent speakers and they sound very good to my ears.
