In this new series, I take two mirroring Champions in Paladins and Overwatch and pit them against each other to see who does it better! This episode features the most recent chaos: Nyx and Ramattra, two purple tanks with fists of rage.

Yeah. But tbh if you think about a melee, close range character and design the kit around that, it's not crazy to think they'd have similar abilities.
if you wanna add a tie breaker in the future, do a skin comparison (quality of skins)
oooh unfortunately paladins would win most of the time. they just got more diverse and better quality skins. in this case, tho, nyx doesn't have many. that's a good idea tho!!!!

Only thing you forgot to mention about Ravenous Vortex. It basically negates all vertical movement abilities like Pharah’s jumpjets since the vortex’s vertical strength is FAR stronger than any hero’s vertical movement abilities, making it real tough to escape. Love the video, keep it up!

I guess you could say nyx has something similar with her Subjugation talent. It roots a single enemy for 2.25 seconds, so that can kinda get a mid air target if you're good
what i will add to nyx's aura its that it also allow us to keep fighting while reducing the dmg, ram block doesnt, its a great tanking ability and with the dmg card, it deals an insane ammount of dmg to tanks, and her rooting talent, leaves a lot of champions at her will.
Yeah, it does a LOT more than Ram's. But it doesn't REDUCE damage like Ram's block. It just delays it. If you buy some Haven you're good tho.
@@LICH_REAPERok this is a little late but now it technically does due to the new item that reduces ability damage which apparently if you buy that when you use your aura the damage you take will be reduced when it starts to tick down
Also something thats rather unknown but can be really powerful, Nyx's Royal Presence has a small window of invulnerability upon activation which allows her to avoid big bursts of damage such as a drogoz or skye ult, its hard to pull off but having it as an option has saved my ass countless times from Drogoz ults and other things. Great video btw new sub for you !

i like to be honest
I prefer paladin but on this match up i prefer play rammattra than nyx (but i have build some combo deck wall/chain grab whith nyx than make her really more intresting )
Ramattra's dmg output is a lot more satisfying, definitely, even tho Nyx does more overall. I haven't toyed too much with her chain pull tho!
My build in french le 2 eme talent la rend tres sylée avec son grab elle peut faire l'enemi traverser le mur et subir plus de degat + un ralentissement ca fait un combo tres team play
et en plus ca offre une protection aux allié c le combo le plus efficace du jeu (shield les allié + immortalité de 3 seconde + augmention des degat subis sur la cible +soft grab ) le tout en aoe inratable combo :royal pressence-slow- wall et grab instantanée

You shouldnt include loadouts/cards just base power of their abilities
OW isnt design to use loadouts/cards while paladins is
The issue with that is that Paladins's characters are designed with loadouts in mind, so their base powers aren't necessarily at their full potential and would often fall flat. I try to only include talents and cards when it heavily impacts the usability of an ability
