First and foremost, congrats on becoming a father! This channel is clearly the best content a skier needs. Carving, freestyle, freeride, mountaineering, training, all here. This series is going to be awesome and a perfectly logical step for you and the channel. Cant wait to see you reaching this goal. The only thing I wish to see a bit more is gear reviews. Skis, bindings, clothes, equipment. Those you already have are great, just do more of them. Cheers!
Love that inner voice, sensititity, learning, exploring about yourself via the places, while sharing with others. Next level of story, episodes, style of narrative. More than anything please share the journey itself, good & bad, tears & joy, fear and achievements. All!
The level of the videos just keep getting better and better. It never fails to put a smile on my face, at the same time that keeps me nostalgic for realizing that I should be sking much more than I do
Hey Jens! This channel basically taught me how to ski from zero, and I wanted to thank you for the top quality tutorials and tips! Watching you pursue your dreams is really inspiring. Congrats on fatherhood and I wish you the best of luck on this new journey!
If your down mountain ski slips you can use your pole as you step place it ahead of you securely on the edge of the skin track. Next step wot slip as your ski will have down pressure on the basket and pole will keep you where you put it. Learned from Bjarne and Cody. The best
I'm very excited for this next part of your journey and happy to tag a long. Father of 2 boys and somewhat experienced backcountry skier myself. A series like this and all the crazy stuff Nikolai Schirmer and his crew do inspire me to grow as a skier and mountaineer and live a long life so I can show my kids and have them along in a couple of years.
Watching your teacher grow to this is serious motivation! I really like the cinematic take 😁 I want to be there one day with that level of filming, editing, and most importantly, skiing
Ah its nice there. I grew up in Västerbotten. I took my mum to Vaduz last week to look at the prince's castle and have a coffee. Then drove back to Flims.
@@StompItTutorials Nice, i went on a couple of bike tours along the coast up to Skellefteå Congratultions on the baby btw! All the best to you and your family, stay safe in the mountains!
Your videos have helped give me purposeful training drills when I’m riding on and off piste. I am excited to see how you apply your teachings to more backcountry environments. Thank you for keeping the stoke high!
Stoked for this series. I may never do a 6k meter mountain but this still inspires me to train to maybe do mountaineering style free skiing some day. A long path to get there but your videos have already helped me learn and practice some prerequisite skills. Thanks!
I hope you finish this series by ascending and skiing Denali in Alaska. With an 18000 foot prominence it's enormous to behold 😊and really is the king of mountains, even though it's not technically the highest.
The idea of this new kind of videos is really interesting, great idea ! Thank you for that ! The video is by the way really well done, from the images to the music and avices !
This video gives me big Nikolai Schirmer vibes - and I'm liking it, great to see your journey into Freeride man keep up the great work congratulations on becoming a dad dude, you're gonna do great!
He is a great skier and he and his team makes great content that I like. But this will not be the same as I will never take the level of risk they do in every episode. This will be more humble but yet a nice watch I hope.
@@StompItTutorials I respect that mate, you've got a lot of responsibility now and you're being sensible about it. I actually prefer your more humble style, it's nice watching something and thinking "damn that's sick but that's not so far out of reach, maybe I could achieve that myself one day" I'm looking forward to seeing the future videos in this series!
Congrats! All the best to you and the family! Back then, in the middle of february it looked like it had still something like snow ^^ I was just in Bivio and Avers - some expositions were dry up to 2500m... still hoping for a monday to wednes day 1m of snow in the Swiss alps, so it's stable until the weekend - for 4 weeks in a row, so the touring season can keep going until the end of may :-P
Thanks! Yea on south faces its pretty bare. Nice touring regions you been to but they dont have too much snow. Davos and St Antönin got some more than that.
Looking forwards to this series. I Hope you guys keep being honest about how difficult it actually is to tour up those crazy lines and how much fitness is required. You should add in a climb timer at some point so show us how long it actually takes to get up the hill :)
x1,25 speed to remove the norwegian chill 😄 really looking forward to this series! Following you for some years and learned a lot from the tutorials, keep your amazing work up! Greetings from Germany
Ah f*** I meant to write nordic, promise 😄 you even mention Sweden in the video... Saving for a stomp it freestyle camp for next year, just have to convince my wife that this is a good idea somehow.
Really well produced video!! Only have a comment on your crampons. I believe they were put on the wrong foot. The buckle should be on the outside of your foot.
I was about to name it but I want to keep it flexible for now. It might be stupid to set a goal when I have almost no clue what it takes or what mountains are good options. Need help from guides and mentors to decide. What one would you suggest or guess?

Nice one. Good to migrate the channel focus more towards freeriding and touring. Freeski is limited to +/- 20 year olds 😅😂
Well we get most views on ski technique then freestyle and lastly freeride content. I will continue doing all of it :)

I agree
Nothing fancy just a little line here in Laax off to the side from the resort. Fourcla dil segnas.
