- Seventy-four-year-old Mary Jones was released from prison after serving more than three decades behind bars for a crime committed by an abusive boyfriend. Jones' case was reopened with the help of law students at the University of Southern California in 2006. Ben Tracy reports.
She deserve a million each year she spent in prison
Atm Rocky yessss she does
Atm Rocky Exactly!!! Pay 🆙
Atm Rocky she deserves her 32 years back. Trillions won't add her nothing at this age, it's for black people
Each day.. taxes
Bassheadrocky 30 no tf she don’t.
Hurts my stomach thinking about the horror that poor lady had to endure. She should receive a ridiculous amount of money.
Paul lucifer That won't give her back the life she lost!
No it wont but it will help her for the rest of her life they was wrong Now they must pay
I just read in another comment that there will be no payment because she wasn’t actually on convicted of the charge like the news story said she actually accepted voluntary manslaughter charge and because of time spent she was free to go
The news story actually have really misled the facts of the case and completely give the wrong story if the comments I have read are true which believed to be
True
Money can never, and will never bring back all she missed.
Its sickening to think how many people are locked behind bars still that are innocent. Justice system has no regard for truth or life. God bless this beautiful lady and all others suffering same fate . Love from ireland 🇮🇪
I think there are a lot of cases from the 60's-80's that should belook at again
If that happens only people who would be in jail is white people.
Hold it Super Mom all cases concerning black people from reconstruction to today 2017 should be re-opened and looked at very carefully but when you have your elected officials working against you because they have been bought by the 1%ers what can you do. The will defend each other and call you a liar even though the know they are the liars and super predators.
Super Mom wrongful convictions still happen to this day. The system is corrupt and it is always the poor who have there rights violated. The police prey on the poor. They know we don't have money for lawyers to fight trumped up charge
Super Mom truly
Yh
she looks soooo happy. I love her attitude so much!
Lank Mason
Thats what my husband said. Thats God in her and I feel she should sue the heck out of them
She's greatful and blessed 💕
I dont get it, how they let people like her sit in hail for 32 years. And no one try to help all those years, until now...
For real
God so good 🙌😍 blessings to you always iove you.miss Mary
That’s what they mean when they say they going to hide u
soo many innocent ppl in jail..
Prison is simply for profit off of the backs of others, slavery never stopped in America, it simply changed forms
Saniah Calme n
@@TRADERSFRIEND yep thats why they never demolished slavery on the 13th amendment. Its used as a form of punishment in prison
Praxy M92 I THINK THE REASON WHY IS CAUSE SO MANY PEOPLE GET SENT TO JAIL INNOCENT IS CAUSE 1 THERE WAS NO CAMERAS ON DNA EVIDENCE 2 ALL WHITE JURYS IN THE 60S WOULDN’T CARE 3 THE COUNTRY IS STILL RACIST TODAY
Even that's not enough
She said in 32 years in prison, she learn one thing Patient. That very very sad.
Andrew Kern She said PATIENCE
the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, trouble, or suffering without getting angry or upset. She displays it well under the circumstances. God Bless
That's what most of us needs . If we had that so many suicide wouldn't have happen. Humble, time and patience is the key to endure in this world. Amazed
Patience is essential, and I’m sure if you have wisdom it has kicked in by now and you can come up with a few things that a person would learn in 30 years in prison or free.
It's sad but at the end with patience she is victorious.
An amazing lack of bitterness.
Wow beautiful comment.
The jupiter. Indeed Grace ,dignity and selfless I'm glad she lived long enough to know freedom
God do Forgives. Amen
Glad.shes home.

Blk is beautiful lol blk is wack unless she has light skin
Alessio Cece no. Black is beautiful, as stated.
Man, thank God I don't live in America. Place is becoming more messed up by the day.
Can't agree more. What a dump. I would not recommend a dog to even visit there.
Shane McRedmond I need to get out of North America too. United states at that
James Oden The world is open to you. God made this world so we can explore it. Don't wait. We don't know when we die. May God bless us all. Amen.
Shane McRedmond agreed.

Joseph Prudence Thanks my Queen . . . 🌹 🎩
I agree. It is well scary
I’d want at least 15 mill if I was her. She’s so precious
Ty Young She really is. Gorgeous 😍
I vote for 5 million for each year she was locked up! SHE DESERVES THAT AND MORE!
Nah 32mil for 32 years she spend there
The Allen’s nah 320 millions
happens a lot and no one is worried by it.. wonder how many are still behind bars..
Even by conservative estimates, there are THOUSANDS of innocent people in jail RIGHT NOW.
lou vit: MANY OH SO VERY MANY 😞😥😥😡
Or was executed or have died in jail
she lost all of those years of her life bc the prosecutor didn't thoroughly investigate their case
This made me cry. What a beautiful and strong spirit.Does anyone know if she has been compensated?
Kaissa Music I am balling out of control. This hurts so bad
How can u compensaid 32 year men ....my opinion i wuld like to put in. Jail that juri and judg to locke them up 32 year then we r equel
Most of the time people that have been wrongly sentenced to prison like that can be compensated for millions of dollars.
However, she or her family is not going to to want for nothing when her money come in.
It is only the power of God that is allowing her to smile genuinely with this terrible ordeal she went through
Damn, it always sucks when a person who was innocent gets out when they are really old. Like that shit would piss me off.
Nesha Britwood . . . I'm sure she has ran through all the emotions numerous times while incarcerated . Teaching Christianity will not impress a justice system for most people in power are undercover corrupt atheist .
I would track down and murder everyone involved with sending me to prison. I'm 74 - I'm not getting out of jail and beginning a career or starting a family.
My entire life was stolen from me on a lie...so I'll steal the lives of the people responsible.
I love white people with hearts ♥️ that fight for the minority’s right. We appreciate you all ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
After white people without hearts fight to put her in jail for nothing. Thanks for freeing her after 30+ years after your poeple put her there. Punishers and saviors and we are the fools prising white people... RIGHT!
INDEED. MAY THE LORD REWARD HER FOR HER .....IN JESUS MIGHTY NAME. AMEN.
Now thats sweet!
i am proud too say i was raised too treat others the way i would want too be treated
if i died tomorrow speaking my opinion i at least didnt die a coward
may GOD you sister and merry christmas!
I agree
This saddens me 😥
I love you
It made me cry....Thank God she is free.
I PRAISE GOD, SHE HAD FOUND THE WAY TO REMAIN ALIVE. SHE COULD HAVE DIED OF SORROW......THE JOY OF THE LORD IS THY STRENGTH GRANDMA!
@@ruthabigaild.nehemie6748 ruth
AMEN. IN and OUT. I CAN TELL THAT SHE HAS PEACE WITHIN ALSO. PRAISE THE LORD!
I'm sure there are a lot more innocent people in prison. I hope all of them get out. It's a shame how things have been. God bless this woman.
UNQUANGL7. I'm well aware of that damn history. Blacks are treated so unfair. 😀
UNQUANGL7. All races do time for crimes they didn't do! Why make it a phucken race issue? You're the sad one.
UNQUANGL7. If it wasn't for the white judge and white Law students she would still be behind bars! And yes i phucken went there!😀
UNQUANGL7. Wasn't born last night toots!👻
UNQUANGL7. I'm not prejudice everyone should own at least one or two? That damn history?
My heart goes out to Ms. Jones, I can only imagine the stress she went through while incarcerated.
Don't stay in abusive relationships!!!
It was her strong faith that got her out.
BS, white law students got her out just like white folks put her in, stop praising a made for man by man, white sky daddy
Wow I see the atheist in you. I hope that you never get caught up in a situation and you're innocent. Whose going to be bothered with you. You just cut your main line. Good luck in life because you are going to need it.
AMEN
Her faith took 32 years???? It seems the people on her legal team got her out
She sounds like an amazing woman! I wish her and her family all the best, may love and laughter surround you!! ❤️
U sound like them police arresting someone whose innocent just so u can celebrate after
Aww bless her I hope she has a wonderful life and may she be blessed with happiness 🙏💝🌸💝🌸💝🌸
Amen im waiting on my husband to come home for a CRIME HE DID NOT DO PRAYERS
Darlene Johnson the worst part about this, is that he will be a different man coming out, than he was going in. Pray for patience.
Darlene Johnson, I am praying that you find a way to free your husband from the injustices that has been imposed upon him by these heathens, there is a group of ultra minded moral people called the innocent projects, see if you can contact them for help. May God bless you.
Darlene Johnson I will pray for you both, from the UK
🙏🙏🙏
Darlene Johnson i hope he Gets out
This sweet woman is so inspiring. I pray she finds peace and lives the rest of her life with her head held high!
I'm glad I'm not from the US.
Me too
Me too!

Living better then y'all tf lol
She seems so sweet and innocent. So sad but at least she was released before dying. God bless her heart and her family ♥️
30 years of her life, wasted. those were supposed to be the most relaxing years of her life. people don't understand how precious and short life is, and now she's closer to death than shes ever been.
I was in prison with her and she was so sweet reminded me of my grandma. God is good ain’t he?
I cried at this.... breaks my heart all the memories and time she missed out on. Bless this woman!! ❤
That's just sad, hopefully she will be richly compensated & enjoy the rest of her life with her family! I pray she lives a long blessed life!
Wow this is so heart breaking 😢
I'm so sad about how my black folks was treated till I'm speechless
Another good example of how the system didn't work. But more than 30 years of hope granted at last. Blessings Grandma.
A man got hit on his head by a door on a cruise ship and got awarded $21.5M compensation. This woman gets wrongly convicted and spends 32 years in jail and gets nothing. That's another misjustice.
WTF...now who is held accountable...now how do we wrong the right or she should just be happy to be free!32 years is insane,so much life eaten up by an dysfunctional system that needs some real tweeking!
This woman has a testamony. My God what courage. She won no animosity.
omg poor lady! ;(
She needs monetary compensation for all those yrs in prison period!!!
Oh, and FOR SURE a huge shout out to the STUDENTS who knew right from wrong - WAY TO GO!!!!! Thank you for freeing this woman!! 👏👏👏👏👏
Thank God!, there is Justice for some!Far Too long to wait though!,Poor lady!
mehn my heart is crying and bleeding this is so fucked up
It really hurts watching this..
I just sat in a cell for 22 hours and almost went crazy she has way more balls than ne
*This is such a sickening betrayal of an innocent woman... Absolutely sickening!* 😡
So sad. Grandma I wish you long life and healthy to live
God Bless You Mary Jones. 🙌
This is so very sad!
you could not pay me enough to wrongfully take away 30+ years of my life! How dare they!?? Give her at least 30 Mill!
exussupremebeing I hope she gets no money
222light Atoms you don't want to know what I wish for you.
Wow this bring tears to my eyes. Thanks god you're free
Sad!
Very Touching. I Can't wait until my Son Is Freed.Amen
I love an optimistic person.. That old lady has a good spirit & happy for the family.. This brought tears to my eyes 😢..
This brings tears to my eyes. Because she didn’t deserve it but god kept her. I thank god for her family. May god continue to bless you.
Just makes me sick that justice system is very very corrupted. Bless her heart I wish her all is well
Quite apart from being morally repugnant (to me at least) cases such as these are one of the strongest arguments against capital punishment.
Damn! How is she not bitter after all that? You can see that she is a good person. Long life to you ma’am.
Really sad! 😦
*"I learned patience"*
And look at her attitude NOW!!
It's MAGNIFICIENT!! 💟💝💖
I cant even look at her without having tears coming out that's really sad there is so much cases like that god continue to bless her and give her more years to enjoy her family 😔😭🙏
aww shes sooo sweet and i feel so bad for her
"you have to hurry up and wait" such wise words
I hope that lady wins a very big lawsuit .
This is ridiculous! They stole 32 years away from this sweet woman!
My. My. My
SHE didn't do IT
This world is messed UP.
So horrible locking up a innocent person for 30 years now the prosecutor should do 30 years
I bet the law students got an A for this.
People who take the high ground, despite Every understandable reason to be bitter... Remarkable strength. God Bless You ❤️
I can’t even imagine. This is so sad and wrong !!!!!!!
Amen a living testimony and she kept honoring our God and Lord Jesus Christ!!! 🙏🏾
It's even worse that law students who aren't even lawyers yet are doing better than the ones currently in theto profession
I am so very very sorry that life has gone as it has for you.
Sometimes things just don't make any sense yet they keep happening.😥🌹🌹
32 YEARS HOW COULD IT BE? PROSECUTOR MUST BE ACCOUNTABLE
Wow so sad and this is nothing new they are always falsely accusing people of crimes they didn’t commit...
It is better you people should go and release many who are wrongly convicted. Stop making me cry here. I can't hold myself. 32 years is not 32 days
1981 ? smh , my parents weren’t even born yet .
what a shame ! justice system is all messed up .
THIS IS SO SAD. TOO MANY INNOCENT PEOPLE ARE LOCKED UP. MORE NEEDS TO BE DONE TO HELP THE INNOCENT IN PRISON TO GET OUT AND TO PREVENT THIS FOR EVER HAPPENING AGAIN TO THE INNOCENT. IT'S MAINLY US BLACK FOLKS.
"what did you learn about yourself when you were in prison" my gosh what a condescending question to ask.
Bless your heart. so glad you're free & home where U belong.
OMG she is soo sweet. I feel so SAD for her. God Bless those who help her.
This hurt man they lady lost alot of years my God🙌🏽😔
This is so heartbreaking in a way....😢❤️😢
HEART BREAKING.....THIS CAN NOT EVER BE TAKEN BACK......NEVER.....
This is so sad..am in tears
Very sad but her demeanor spoke volumes God bless you
Hurts my stomach...God bless this women
PAY This Woman NOW! Praise the Lord for her family. God bless and prosper you Miss Mary.
I just read in another comment that there will be no payment because she wasn’t actually on convicted of the charge like the news story said she actually accepted voluntary manslaughter charge and because of time spent she was free to go
The news story actually have really misled the facts of the case and completely give the wrong story if the comments I have read are true which believed to be
This is sickening..she served time for no reason!! Glad she's finally out.
And she keeps smiling. Bless her I hope lives to see 100 and more.
Time to pay compensation more then 5 million
All those years 32 and not 1 bitter bone .Hope she gets paid n lives to be 100 years old. Godbless!
That's sad she stayed in prison all that time. How could they get something so wrong.
Bless her heart ❤
Wow! Everyone involved should be in jail for putting her there...
You’re so strong. Stay healthy and live long life with happiness
How can you start a new life at that age?
