Welcome friend! Lorna Shore is an amazing listen. I really appreciate a lot of the newer metal (38 years old now, used to play some metal drums myself) and I also very much enjoyed your reaction! The ending is usually a separate reaction video all it's own. My recommendation is ArchSpire - "Bleed The Future". There are lyrics on the screen, although even then I wish you the best of luck keeping up! I hope you enjoy!

Your reaction was mine when I first heard them. Now, Lorna is a favorite band. Each member of the ensemble is first class, and make what they do look easy. There are play throughs for many of the songs, especially the last album. Austin Archey's drum playthroughs on Meinl Cymbal's RUclips channels are great if you want to see what he is doing. Many angles, and the sound is phenomenal. I had a chance to spend time with the vocalist Will Ramos, and he is the nicest, most down to earth guy. "Hyperactive puppy" is my favorite description of him. Eventually, you'll need to check out the "Pain Remains" trilogy. Incredibly moving, many people end up in tears. When I saw Lorna in concert, they ended with the full trilogy, all 20 minutes. There were tears, and people holding their lit phones in the air. Incredible live band.

After a lifetime of incomprehension about harsh vocals, I suddenly discovered, with this very song, that the singer is expressing the darkness that lives inside each of us. And then I could relate. The reason I like Lorna Shore so much is that they incorporate great melodies using instruments as a foil for Will Ramos's incredible screaming. The combo is beguiling. And I'm with you 100% in my appreciation for that guitar solo. Another performance you might enjoy in this genre is an energized rendition by Arch Enemy of their song Nemesis, live from Tokyo. That breakdown is up there in terms of heavy but if you wanna be thrown further into the deep end I'm gonna mention "ten56. - Saiko" or "DEVILOOF - Immolation" (honestly anythign from these bands lol)

Someone else already mentioned heel-toe technique and they're right. Heel-toe is implemented by controlling rebound. Like playing double stroke rolls on a snare drum

Loved your reaction! I hope you do more Lorna Shore reactions. It's a good idea to take a look at the lyrics, because Lorna Shore's lyrics are very deep, poetic, philosophical and emotional.
If your looking for a heavy song maybe Of the abyss or sun/eater. I personally love the one take vocal playthroughs Will Ramos (the vocalist) does. He is so good live. If your looking for a very emotional but still very heavy journey take a look at the pain remains trilogy. I found a video that has the official music videos and lyrics! This trilogy is a very special one and very unique for the deathcore genre. m.ruclips.net/video/WH3BOx1ppk4/видео.html&pp=ygUZUGFpbiByZW1haW5zIEVuZ2xpc2ggc3Vicw%3D%3D

If you think that was heavy, you have to listen to blasphemian by infant annihilator
Or literally anything by infant annihilator, their vocalist (dickie allen) is also the main inspiration and favorite from will ramos (the vocalist from lorna shore). The snarl at the end of this song was invented by dickie allen in the song "unholy gravebirth" 7 years ago and will paid an homage in this song
The sound totally blew up and ALOT of bands are doing it right now

Will is an amazing volalist!!! Austin is an amazing drummer, the whole band is sick! I'm omw to see them in Pittsburgh next wkend! Can't wait! Took 3 days off work & am traveling about 8 hours both ways.
"MY FINAL BREATH SWALLOWED BY THE WOMB OF DEATH "🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘 & those beautiful pig squeals at the end!!!
can't WAIT to see them do this live or for their first headliner tours in the future!!!
I'm almost 50 yrs old & I have brought many of my older metal head friends along for the LS ride. These guys have brought a whole new older generation into Death core w this song & especially the Pain Remains trilogy. But do yourself a favor if you react to Pain Remains & find a lyric video for yourself & your not so into metal fans!!! It will make a big difference!

Yo get absolutely smashed by this song but still you find yourself humming the melody. That's the genius here. The extreme vocals and drums in contrast to the slow melody. Check out the drum playthrough of Cursed To Die by the drummer Ausin Archey. Amazing stuff.

Edit: of the abyss is another great track to check out, but you definitely need to do the pain remains trilogy. The official music videos are really intense, but I highly recommend bringing up the lyrics while watching. 🤘🤘

Honestly, Will Ramos is probably the best vocalist in history. There are a lot of incredible vocalists in metal, but he’s in a league of his own. Watching him do it all live, in a single take, and sound the way he does? It’s surreal. You really have to hand it to all the musicians though. The level of skill, proficiency, and precision can’t be overstated.

Lorna shore pain remains is heavier for different reasons. Worm shepherd- frozen lake part 2 is heavy but still enjoyable. Orbit culture- from the inside is heavy and melodic

Haha this was wonderful. That ending LOL. I agree with you and it can only be easier from now on lol. Yeah the drums are intense, but at least he gets some rest from time to time in the song. Meshuggah - Bleed has no rest lol. Very different drums, both require enormous amounts of stamina.

I heard this on the XM metal station one day and thought "Okay guys, this is a little ridiculous" assuming they were just using TONS of processing to get this sound. I actually laughed out loud and dismissed it. Out of curiosity I went back and listened again...then found live footage, then saw them live. Its stunning how great they all are at their craft. I always say: you can not like this genre of music but you can't deny its an impressive human accomplishment haha. I don't drive around listening to opera music but I'm always impressed by their skill.

"how are they doing the kicks so fast?"
i saw in one video with really fast kicks that the guy had his whole feet on the kick pedals and rocked his feet back and forth real quick, rather than just use the front of the feet.
"i feel like i need to take a shower now."
that is what we in the Metal community call feeling the filth, you could feel it couldnt you? that was your cue to give a stinkface. lol that's for future videos.
i gotta admit, i did think it was too soon, but you did find some enjoyment in it, so maybe it wasnt too soon. but yeah, i didnt say that as a challenge or anything, i just know that Metalheads other than myself, lack subtlety. and i didnt want to see you get traumatized, because this really is some extreme stuff, kinda gotta develop the ear for it. personally i'm still working on my fry ear.
as for the end of the video... aww dude... famous last words... allah help this man. lol

It’s called blast beats. You’re using the bounce the stick has against the drum head. It’s done with the fingers and wrist. As for the kicks it’s using a heel toe which is Two hits per foot. Austin( the drummer ) has a few videos up just his performances. The dude is super calm while his music is ferocious
