Amazing reacton, Welcome to the world of Lorna shore the vocalist name is Will Ramos definetly one of the best vocalist in metal scene
I would recommend to also check their song "cursed to die" it's such a masterpiece
From other bands I can recommend I would suggest shadow of intent and their songs "the heretic prevails" and "gravesinger" but tbh the entire discography of them is worth checking out

Little piece of advice/recommendation: When being confronted with "such type of music" open up the lyrics in parallel. It adds so much to the experience. In case of Lorna Shore its even extra spicy because how shockingly good their song writing is.

Hey you found two of my fave bands, Jinjer and Lorna Shore! Hoping you'll find Arch Enemy next 😈 But yeah it makes me so happy when new fans love Lorna Shore so much. Once you get into deathcore, everything else feels so soft in comparison hahhaha.
Anyway, the lead singer, Will Ramos did a one take vocal of "To The Hellfire", so I'd recommend you to react to this first.
I also recommend Sun//Eater and the Pain Remains Trilogy, and you'll see how incredible they are. And go on from there, cause all of their tracks are amazing. 💪🏻

A masterpiece
Love Lorna Shore, and I'm an 'old', old school metal head too, this band blew me the fuck away, (their band name belies how heavy they actually sound) the lyrics are tremendously dark and complex and I'm here for it; they're touring with Mastodon and Gojira later this Summer 2023

It's awesome to see you react to these very heavy bands like Lorna and Slaugter to prevail, but if you want a little more relaxed but incredible performance, check out the band Disturbed's cover of sound of silence, and more spesifically their performence on Conan's show. The vocalist David Draiman was actaully sick with a fever during the performance, but my god it's powerful! just a little suggestion on a song/performance that i know a lot of other people have reacted to and loved as well :)

Oh I think you are right about the setup there ... as far as I had in mind, this song is really played with vocals, Drums and two Guitars!?
The lyrics are easy to find and this song starts a trilogy with "Of The Abyss" (which lacks a music video as far as I remember but still the song I love the most from these three) ... and the third song "...and I return to nothingness" - this one has a cool video again. Their newest album comes with a crazy and very dark and sad trilogy "The Pain remains" ... so ... there's enough potential to dig into more of this band with this craaazy vocalist Will Ramos! :D

I believe at the time of the recording of this song (and its EP), they lacked a bassist. Andrew and Adam are credited as bass on this track, and I suspect that at least some of it is a TR-808 or its samples. Especially the bass drop at the end.

From a technical perspective, those goblin screams the vocalist does are called a tunnel throat. He adds a bit of other stuff in there, but its realistically the same mechanism as some of his other screams, he just uses his mouth and tongue to make a different sound
The bassist came in the mix for the Pain Remains album. His name is Michael Yeager.
