- Here is my no Bullsh*t Retribution Paladin Guide for Patch 10.2.7 and Dragonflight Season 4, that covers everything you need to get you started! It doesn't matter if you're new to Ret Paladin, a returning player or a veteran that just hopped into Dragonflight: you'll get some value of this Guide!

Why use final reckoning before Avenging wrath? Isn't it important to gain the bonus dmg from avenging first?
True, this was an error on my end. I'll update the pinned comment. With Execution sentence I'm using it after, but with Final Reckoning I use it before. Thanks! ❤❤

@NinoMMO I'm pretty new to WoW, so I'm confused about this:
How much does it matter to have the legendary axe as weapon? Like can I perform good enough without it? And how much damage difference does it make to have it? Have heard a few times that the legendary is essential to be able to perform well...
You defenitly need the axe to be able to perform good damage , because the class is balanced around the legendery , so if you dont have it you are essentialy playing a nerfed ret paladin

Hey, ideally you want the legendary, but if you don't have it buy Ashkandur with your bullions. It's gonna be less damage, yes, but generally you will do enough to do +10s and raid mythic :)

I know this guide is a little oldish but what is the best race, please?
I see a lot of top ret pallys are blood elf but even more are gnome.

The "best" race depends on what content you're doing. For us mortals it shouldn't really matter too much.
Out of the top 10 Ret Paladins in Mythic+ 7 are Dwarf, 2 are Bloodelves and one is Human.
Most choose Dwarf because of the 10% Damage Reduction passive and the self cleanse, because you get a lot of value from it in M+
So I'd suggest Dwarf if you really wanna minmax, but I'm playing Bloodelf because of aesthetics haha

One question about holy power on templar verdict does having more holy power deals more damage or its the same if you use for example with 3 hp insted of 4

My 500 ilvl ret paladin is doing shit damage i dont know what im doing wrong, i do almlost the same aoe rotation like you did in the vid. But when i burst on the target dummies its only like 500-700 k
What is your weapon? This might be the issue. Other than that ret paladin is pretty straight forward and should achieve similar numbers.
I had good gear though, because it was on the ptr with some 520+ pieces

You're not forced to wait for it, but if you're at 3 and can fit in one more HP generator without overcapping use that first and then spend it. That's the main idea. Often you'll send it at 3, if there is nothing else to press tho :)

You want a certain amount of haste before investing into other stats.
Ideally you sim your character to see whats the highest dps increase for you.

my man said haste? none of the guides want haste they all want verst 1st, master 2nd, haste 3rd crit 4th.
Hey! :) We want a certain amount of haste for the spec to feel good. After that, the other stats take over. But as I said you always want to sim your character, to actually see what's best for your character.
The Stat prio is just a very rough guideline in all of the guides that are out there. Simming is wayyyyyyyyy more accurate
@@NinoMMO How do you sim the character? i'm literally like 2 weeks into wow i'm brand new. Some of the tier set for pally automaticcaly has haste in it. All the guides say to stack vers, master as primary.
@@ivanr9408 stat priorities aren't a thing. you sim your character on raid bots to see what drops will give you more damage
