- Introducing the StroboStomp HD, with our largest yet, beautiful, multi-color, hi-definition display; switchable true bypass or buffered bypass output, and 70 years worth of proven Peterson reliability & displayable 0.1 cent accuracy. Straight out of the box, the StroboStomp HD will be the simplest and most accurate pedal tuner you've ever used.
We know that being "in tune" is a very specific point and not a window. Many tuners can only guide you near or around that point, but "near" is not repeatable. You're either "in" or "out"... and your instruments will know the difference.
That's because 0.1 cent, or 1/1000th of a fret, accuracy can only be seen on a high definition, real strobe tuner display. The StroboStomp HD doesn't have a "strobe tuner mode", because it IS a strobe tuner. Make the strobe wheel stop, and you're as "in-tune" as it gets. That's it. No jumpy display, or flashing lights, just an ultra-smooth, real-time, immediate reading of your tuning adjustments exactly as they happen.
The StroboStomp HD provides a 100% silent, true-bypass output mode to keep precious tone safe while also eliminating the unwanted “pop” experienced in many true-bypass products. Or, switch to buffered mode to boost instrument drive and overcome potential tone loss in signal chains that incorporate multiple low-impedance guitar pedals or long cable runs. Switch to Monitor Mode to keep an eye on your tuning while you play.
The over-sized, multi-color, high contrast LCD display is visible in all environments, even direct sunlight. You can even adjust the global back-light color to combat stage lighting.
For those who --want-- to dig deeper, the StroboStomp HD contains our largest library yet of over 130 sweetened tuning and guided tuning presets, customized for your instrument type. Just select your instrument and tune. Drop tune by 6 steps or capo up by 5. Adjust your concert A range from 390 to 490Hz. Check out the Guided Tuning String Number feature to quickly dial-in altered and drop tunings without the math. Pick a different color for each of your favorite presets so they're easy to identify on stage. Update firmware and customize to your instruments via the micro USB port and the Peterson website.
Peterson Strobe Tuners have been tuning all of music's heroes and legends for over a half century. Enjoy that same precision with the smooth, bright, high definition display of the StroboStomp HD and tune with the most trusted name in tuning for 70 years.

Mine arrived from Sweetwater today! It’s built like a tank! I love how the display is always on and finally being able to tune to a 432 Hz concert pitch. Yup! Instant fan here!
Same, 432 gang 🎉
Got mine from guitar center a couple days ago. My god I’m glad you guys exist
Thanks a lot for the making such a good products!
Considering getting this beautiful tuner. Needs that as well as a buffer as the first pedal in my chan.
Haven’t found any information about Input/Output impedance of this pedal.
Could you help me with this information please.
Thanks in advance for your answer!
Thank you for reaching out.
In Buffer Mode & Monitor Mode:
Input impedance is 5M Ohm
Output impedance is 100 Ohm
True Bypass lifts the circuit from the tuner when unmuted and there is no added resistance.
@@PetersonTuners thanks!!!
Cheers
I want one so bad.
Get it dude, it's worth the money.
Best money I’ve ever spent on a tuner. If it goes down tomorrow, I’d have to have another. 🎸🇺🇸
Looks like a great tuner , is it possible to tune to 444 Hz with this ?
Thanks , it sounds possible to tune to a wide range of frequencies .
Yes. Concert A reference is adjustable on the hardware by Hz from 390-490Hz in .1Hz increments. The frequency range is 16.35Hz - 7302Hz.
@@PetersonTuners Brilliant 🙂
What's the most accurate Peterson tuner for guitar intonation and is the StroboStompHD an acceptable tuner for intonation?
Thank you for your question. All of our tuners are accurate to 0.1 cents. The difference in the models being feature set, form factor, and usage. Think different tools for different jobs.
StroboStomp HD is more than acceptable for setting intonation on a guitar. If the pedal format will work within your workflow for this, it is a great tool. StroboPLUS HDC is our digital benchtop model and is often preferred for intonation and luthiery work as it has a larger display with more strobe segments, a built in kick stand for bench use, can adjust cents offset on the device, and has a rechargeable battery.
If you need to view harmonic content, our mechanical tuners are the way to go. Our digital tuners display the fundamental, whereas our mechanical tuners can display octave information on the AutoStrobe 490, 490-ST, and 590, or full chromatic information in the SC-5000.
So I can have tuner in monitor mode and play with it on always without stopping my signal, correct?
Hello, Monitor Mode allows the display to always be on regardless whether the signal is muted or unmuted. So yes, you can view the tune screen without needing to mute your signal.
The display is viewable in Buffered Bypass and True Bypass only when the signal is muted. If the signal in unmuted, the display will turn off.
Does this tuner support the Buzz Feiten system?
Thanks for the question. Yes, the StroboStomp HD does contain Buzz Feiten Tuning System Sweeteners.
How is this pedal for bass? Does it pick up B well?
It does register a low B nicely. The frequency response is 16Hz - 7302Hz.
I've always been backing Peterson's stroke tuners, but since I bought one, I'm having a horrifically terrible time trying to find the instructions for this floor Peterson tuner should work. I have a good cord plugged in. I cannot get it to operate battery power supply Nada so I don't even know if I have a defective pedal. I cannot get it the light up and work right that's what they real working. Power supply several new batteries 9 V nothing is making this thing work. This is frustrating.

Battery only or powered?
Thank you for your question. StroboStomp HD can be operated with a 9v battery or a 9v, regulated, center negative, 85mA minimum power supply.
Does this display cents?
Thanks for your question. No, the StroboStomp HD does not display cents off. The speed at while the strobe bands rotate is how it shows how far out of tune a pitch is. The faster it spins, the further out it is. When it stops moving, you are in tune to .1cents accuracy.
