Could this be THE BEST WEEK We've Had Sailing? (EP 69 Monday Never)

  • Some weeks are dull. Some weeks are full of drama. Other weeks are filled with some of the most incredible moments one could wish for. This week was just one of those special weeks. We are rapidly concluding our time in the Bahamas as we push our way to the Caribbean, so we make the most of the magical moments that we have left in this slice of paradise.
We get Maddie "surfing" for the first time. Cat spears her first fish and lobster. We have an epic sail to Rum Cay and then Crooked Island. And that's where the fun really begins. The girls take over Paradox for a women-only sailing day. And then Will spears the biggest fish he's ever gotten.
It's a good one! We hope you like it as much as we had fun living it.
Also - there are some great channels who are also featured in this video. If you don't know them yet, you SHOULD! Go check out ‪@everydaysaturday‬ and ‪@jadynmorse‬. Not only are they our friends, but they are out there doing some very cool stuff on the water! And Jadyn is only 17 - yet she sails and spears with the best of them.
    Cheers,
    Cat, Will and Maddie

Lots of firsts; first surfing by Maddie, your first lobster, your first captaincy. Nice catch at the end with the spear.

Truly awesome episode, Maddie surfing was exceptionally uplifting and the girls sailing together must have felt like a huge accomplishment for you all. Hiking got a little hectic, rough terrain and we are Happy your safely on the boat. Thanks for sharing, every day is a learning experience for us and we love the beautiful scenery and seeing that the Family is enjoying in peace and harmony. Nice job on repairing the vang! Enjoy.

I think it’s real awesome that you took the spot of captain!!! Both of you being confident and comfortable just makes it even more safe if something happened to one of you the other one always has the ability to get in 👍👍

2.4k views in one day, not bad. You have come a long way from less than 20!!! Just watched your last two videos on my VR headset! Your videos just keep getting better and they are ALWAYS informative and entertaining! I cried when Maddie cried! Keep up the adventure and take care of each other. (Matt, what's the secret to get your wife to take a walk!!? You're a god to many my friend! haha)

Awesome video!!! Can’t wait to try my hand at sailing on KINDNESS, still need some more time behind the helm in close quarters😉.
I’m not sure how they convinced Will to take the Thorny path but it looks like you’re having a great adventure. Thanks as always for sharing your life❤ #best story teller

Maddie looked like she was never going to get off the paddle board, lol. And now it's CAT woman the underwater hunter, way to go Cat, that should just be the start. It made my heart feel full watching the girls take the boat out on their own, it should be done more often, better to learn in nice conditions rather than in a storm because the captain is incapacitated for some reason. Had the same argument with the guys in the off road club, I was taking all the girls and letting them do all the driving of my jeep, witch helped, but not as good as learning on their own. That all changed when two guys got hurt and their wife didn't know how things worked on their truck. I find that is one big failure of us macho men.

8:10 is that a STARLINK dish behind you? If so, can you guys do a video on that and it’s effectiveness on your boat?

    • @Mondaynever

We don’t have starlink (yet), it’s a fish cleaning table. But all of our friends have it and it’s been a game changer for them. We are planning to install one soon

Sorry, although you’re a fun couple you’re still spearing immature fish, which I can’t support in any way. I’m done.

Hey Cat here. You’re right. That fish I caught was too small. It was my first time spearing and I suffered from a case of being over eager (something a lot of us go through when we start). I learned a good lesson about underwater perspective and won’t make the same mistake again. I did enjoy it for dinner though! Enjoy watching other channels and maybe one day we’ll see you out there. Best, Cat

@@Mondaynever Hi Cat, I live on my boat and cruise the waters of the Southern gulf isLands in British Columbia. I have for many years.
It’s not just the fish was too small it was probably sexually immature, meaning if it was female it would never have the opportunity to reproduce. That’s one of the main reasons we have seasons and size limits for fish. It’s about the sustainability of the fishery.
Just because they may not have regulations where you are doesn’t mean the problem doesn’t exist, it’s just that some simply don’t care about the sustainability of the fishery, typical of the attitude 30 years ago in Canada. I’d like to believe we are a little smarter today.
I’m glad you enjoyed your meal and got a little footage for your channel. Please try to be more aware in the future.
