Bill is great, down to earth person, obviously enjoying Philipines. This resort looks amazing and its sea/ beach front.Perfect to relax and even on pouring rain like that would make it special to sip a drink or two, read a book and enjoy the view.Refreshing to see casual, friendly chat instead of robotic interview.Well done both...I will stay ( and eat) there when i visit for sure.Thank you
Bill is my good friend ! We're both in Lazi town, im his driver too!He loves the island

Insightful interview.
Hello Diesel, thank you 😊😊😊
As a chef, I hardly eat fast food. Due to allergies, I have adopted the pescatarian diet. A tick bite means I can no longer have mammal proteins. Alpha-gal is an allergy that is fast becoming an issue worldwide.
The ideal night is spent at a beach camp fire, grilling the day's catch, enjoying a drink, and watching the sunset. That's why I'm moving to the Philippines.
excited for ya, almost time yayyy
Great interview. Manila is my favourite place
Hello Hayden, oh wow glad you like Manila 😊 Have you been to Siquijor?

This was a very good interview. I haven’t come across other working expat interviews.
Leah, I think you are off to an excellent start on developing your channel. Rest assured that I will be viewing all your videos. Perhaps, you can interview me when I get there for my exploratory visit and I can lay out the process that I’m planning for my future expat adventure.
Take care,

which islands are you going to visit?
I will start in manilla and work my way South. Bolho is a definite must see according to what ive read. Cebu. Illio , well alot of places @expatguideph
Raining
PH is heaven on earth for rich Filipinos only & not for foreigners to settle foreigners in PH can't own properties full business ownership & have very limited rights foreigners can be naturalized PH citizens if born & raised in PH like the prominent Spanish Ayala family which is not the case of newcomers
Hiii Jose, I'm not a rich Filipino but still it's heaven for me... There are islands that provide affordable living options... I also know a lot of foreigners who are into business and happy with their investments even if they don't own it a 100% 😊
where is that, what province and city? sounds like you guys are saying Lazee? 🤔
hello this is in The Gabayan Riviera, Lazi, Siquijor
@@expatguideph oh ok thanks Leah.....I never heard of your channel before but I like it, I'm going to subscribe.... especially since you're pretty 😍😀
The Philippines has 3 of the top 10 largest malls in the world.
Ironic for a 3rd world country, isn't it? 😊
@@expatguideph I wouldn't consider the Philippines a 3rd world country. I think it's better than that. It's a beautiful place.
Start up capital to relocate to Philippines

An eatery,i dont think so,the vast majority fail badly, bad advice!
Actually, Bill had a very, very successful eatery in Boracay called "Tilapia and Chips", which he operated for about 10 years then sold for a good buck. the thing is though, he is a professional with tons of experience . The two common factors I have personally seen in expat run eatery failures is lack of experience and a focus exclusively on the expat target market. Most foreigners who open a restaurant do so emotionally rather than based on sound business practices. They have this image in their heads of how cool it would be and that skews their judgement. And,, there is usually not enough expats in most areas to support a resto. Any successful resto/bar, needs also has to target the filipino market as well
