    Great Video, just bought the video, any plans for another video on the Long Haul for Aer Lingus? Or maybe even Ryanair? 😉

      We would certainly be happy to return to Aer Lingus for a 3rd film if/when it suits them... no plans with Ryanair though...

    Thinking of taking Aer Lingus San Francisco to Dublin non-stop, but concerned about horrible reviews on Yelp. And myself being an American of Irish heritage. This is the only non-stop SFO to Dub, hope Yelp reviews are in-accurate.

      It's Yelp... but honestly, Aer Lingus A330s are pretty old, so it's not the best experience you can get but it's fine.

    At 1:03, Cost Index of 11, isn’t that unusually low? British Airways use 20, and some other companies usually set it to 30.

    • @piotrkuler2474
      @piotrkuler2474 6 лет назад +1

      Johan Ottosson That changes from airline to airline , some low costs use even 6 as a CI.

    • @CianMcsweeney
      @CianMcsweeney 6 лет назад

      They also might use 11 for the climb then change it once in cruise

    • @maroon9980
      @maroon9980 6 лет назад

      Cost index depends on a lot of things, fuel prices, airlines, the route etc.. Maybe they were expecting a big tailwind, so a high cost index wouldn't be needed/would be unnecessary.

      Brooke hammer everyone is different I for one was eleven when I picked up my aviation love and I’m not much older now but anyway I stuck with it and now I know my way around cockpits I know how to operate it in a simulator so if you stick with it for awhile hopefully you’ll be the same😊

      Brooke hammer You have to have a good basic education.
      Then it gets complicated with mathematics and science.
      Your health had to be good with very good eyesight.

      Just saying but this isn't the best plane I've been on if your planning to go on an aer lingus make sure it isn't the Airbus 320 😂😂

    So much mouth music when they set the power on take off.
    It’s so much much simpler on the Boeing.

    she got 2 stripes she has atpl or ppl ?

    • @aviationspirits
      @aviationspirits 6 лет назад

      Most likely CPL.

    • @jamesadams7600
      @jamesadams7600 6 лет назад

      ALL airline pilots have an ATPL (frozen or not) two stripes means she doesn't have enough hours to be a first officer. You usually have 2 stripes for around 2 years.

    • @RomeoJulietCharlie
      @RomeoJulietCharlie 6 лет назад +2

      most likely a frozen ATPL, although I think Aer Lingus also now have MPL (multicrew pilot licence) cadets. Pretty sure Aer Lingus FOs get their third stripe once they've got a full ATPL (above 1500 hours and having taken the ATPL skills test). Nobody will be flying an A320 on a PPL.

    • @ASTUALPHA
      @ASTUALPHA 6 лет назад

      You are not allowed to fly this aircraft with PPL. ATPL is a requirement for almost all airlines. CPL can be enough for some jobs, but with CPL you can't become a captain of an airliner.

    • @westfal1000
      @westfal1000 6 лет назад +1

      pretty sure 2 stripes is junior first officer and 3 stripes is senior first officer (or just first officer)

      It's pretty much the workhorse of short haul flights in Europe. The Boeing 737 used to be but I believe Airbus took over.
