After picking up the bike I rented via Twisted Road, we head from East Nashville to the iconic Loveless Cafe, then we hop on the beautiful Natchez Trace Parkway, I’ve never rode a road like that on a motorcycle. We pop off before the Double Arch Bridge on the Parkway, that allows my family time to catch up 😆 plus we got some cool shots going back and forth over the bridge.
We continue on Natchez Trace to Leiper's Fork where we grab lunch, visit a (not open) distillery and continue our journey that takes us to a little town called Franklin, TN. In Franklin we do some window shopping and enjoy golden hour, plus I finally get that coffee I was desperately wanting 😋.
By now the sun is beginning to set and we head back to Nashville cause I needed to capture the wonderful energy of Downtown Nash. Broadway Street was buzzing and we even got to see a horse! They pulled right up to us and stopped at a red light. Horses back here in MA wouldn’t do that, heck, even drivers in MA don’t stop at red lights! 😝
Shout out to my personal tour guide for the day: Ricky! Drop a 🐴 horse emoji 🐴 in the comments to leave Ricky a virtual tip lol
This video is dedicated to Ricky’s dad who passed away in March. I never met him but Ricky has been a close friend to my family for years now and I know it would take an amazing man to raise a man like Rick. In memory of Eduardo A. Fernandez.

What a perfect day! Seriously my pleasure being able to show you some of my favorite roads. Come back and let’s do it again! Also totally surprised by the end, thank you ❤❤❤
Justin and I are coming back in August! I still haven't seen that lake out there, kinda think Toni's making it up haha
Thanks for everything sweet Rick ❤
Loved watching you and Lex rip it up ❤️🫡 -- I'll definitely be down then on a rented hog for the next TN trip
You probably realized by now that the Rebel is a 6 speed. (I am thinking of downsizing to a bike lighter (since I'm in my 70s now) and am thinking of the Rebel 1100 or 500.) Some say that Tenn has a lot of the same scenery as New England. What a great video. I love the background music and all the sights you went to, plus meeting family and friends too. I guess the Rebel doesn't have a self-canceling turn signal, which I am surprised it doesn't. Think you would be happy on the Rebel for your bike but you certainly look more cool and bad a$$ on the XS650. 🙂
I live in middle Tennessee, and I ride up and down the Trace on many weekends. While not the most exciting road as far as twistys go, I love it because there is very little cross traffic. Its a low key and easy ride with a lot of great scenery and fun towns to visit along the way. Nice video and I’m a Rebel rider also.
Another great video Bugzy. Tennessee looks a beautiful place with great roads to ride on. Bit different to the pothole roads where i live in England. I am 68 years old now and still love riding but sometimes I forget to cancel the blinkers. Keep riding Bugzy,it's a great stress reliever. I look forward to more of your videos.
"My sister's name is Toni and my blinker's on... Nice to meet ya!" caused me to spit my drink out HAHAHAHAHA!!!
Hahaha I feel like you get me 🤪🤪🤪
As a Masshole living down in GA now, I've got to say it is awesome here. Don't hesitate if you're questioning. Great riding and great people in these parts.
With real estate taxes up here alone costing me 3 months worth of retirement income, I might be moving down South sooner than ya think.
Hello and welcome to Tennessee. I just discovered your channel, and I loved the video. It's great to see new riders on the road. Have fun and come back often. Maybe I'll see ya on the road😃
I like the Rebel! Someday I'll make it to Natchez, wow, beautiful scenery!
Such a great video! Absolutely love Nashville, its such a great city, wish I had a motorcycle while I lived there.
What a fun day, great video!
It was so fun! The best riding day I’ve ever had so far.
This video is the most I've ever seen of Tennessee (besides Memphis and Nashville). I like the roads and pretty little towns and countryside - especially when viewed from the seat of a motorcycle.
You need to visit east Tennesee. It is God's country.
Bugzy, great 👍 video you knocked it out of the park. Your sister is just like you but has longer hair. Looks like great riding roads in Tennessee.
If you did move to Tennessee you would be able to ride more months of the year. I don’t know weather to call you Bugzy Sunshine 🌞 or Bugzy Blinker now Lol 😂
I feel for Ricky’s loss of his dad. My brother passed away this Feb. 1st 🐴😎Dave H
I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of your brother.
Thanks sunshine Dave:)
Bugzy Blinker 😂 😂 😂
I don't know if they told you but Leiper's Fork and Franklin are in Williamson County. That county is one of the ten wealthiest counties in the country. That's where most of the country music stars, music executives, and professional athletes live.
Also, it must have been a weekday when you rode down Broadway. They close that portion off to motor vehicles on weekend evenings. I tried to ride down there on the morning of the 4th of July. I figured there would be very little traffic since a lot of people were off work and it was too early to start partying. That was true, but they already had Broadway blocked off for the 4th celebrations, which made it a pain.
The stadium was built almost 30 years ago. It's not in bad shape, but you can tell it's old. They have just started construction on a brand new stadium right next to it. Nissan will be torn down once the new one is finished. The tourists are mostly paying for it with an increased hotel tax.
I ride a Bonneville T120, which is the same platform that Ricky's Speed Twin 900 is. The T120 is the more upscale version and has a bigger engine than the 900 in his bike. It's also considerably more expensive, which kind of sucks, but I bought mine used, so I got a little discount. They hold their value though, so I can't really complain.
That whole platform is really nice. Triumph nailed it. If you ever think about getting another bike, you should look into them. They have the Speed Twin 900 and 1200, the Bonneville T120 and T100, with the T100 having the same engine as Ricky's bike, the Speedmaster, which is more of a cruiser, the Bobber which is very similar to that Rebel you rode, and the king of the platform, the Thruxton, which is the sportiest model with the most powerful engine and a trick suspension. That bike runs about $17,000 out the door, but it is one of the best looking bikes you can buy right now.
I was working in Mississippi near the Natchez Trace and every day I would drive down it and find a place to eat lunch at a picnic table or rest stop. I got to reading about it and discovered how much history it had so on my days off I would explore it a little at a time until I had explored nearly all the Mississippi sections. I would stop at all the historical markers and read about all the people who had used the trace over the years. Kinda nerdy stuff but I'm nerdy like that.
Oh thats so cool, thanks for sharing that. I def want to ride the entire trace some day.
… Tennessee, Tennessee, there ain't no place I'd rather be
Baby won't you carry me back to Tennessee?
I miss those GD concerts. 🙂
Nice to see your channel gaining more subscribers!
Thank you!! Your support means a lot, I know you’ve been subbed for a while now 😃
Glad you enjoyed riding around Nashville. I stay outside the 840 loop. Too many distracted drivers and aggressive drivers. I actually got hit back in March buy a 42 rear old driving with a suspended license who flew out of a liquor store into me.
I have this bike, and I live here in Nashville and ride to these same places! Glad you had a good time here! Great content 👍
Love that!! I’ll be back soon, renting a different bike this time. Any other cool routes you recommend? Thanks for watching:)
Dance Party!
A great way to end the video...
The dance party was one of my favorite parts 🪩🪩🪩
This was awesome. You’re a real trooper for hitting downtown traffic. Well done. I was in Nashville a long time ago for business. Met Some of the best people ever. You’re videos are really enjoyable to watch. Cheers. ☮️
Thanks so much for watching 😃 yeah the traffic was pretty bad getting through the city at the beginning of the day, the heat made it worse!! I didn’t mind the downtown traffic that night cause there was so much going on all around us!
You need to talk to Ricky about your line. If you notice he rides near the yellow paint so when he's going to lean left for a corner he can see further ahead. Same going left, pull towards the white line.
This is really interesting, I’ve never thought of it like that and I wouldn’t notice it. Thanks for sharing your insight.
I also really enjoyed the new rebel 300 in the MSF course, easy to ride and it built my confidence fast while others in the class rode the old rebel 250s and had issues with them stalling or not starting at all lol.
yeah thats a good way to put it, the rebel totally built up my confidence at a point where I was feeling pretty shaky as a beginner! Thanks for watching!
That was cool. More, more more. Let's see the family reunion picnic.
Do you miss a kick-starter?
🤣 a picnic!? I can do that!! Thank you so much for watching and yeah I missed a kickstarter lol now I just like knowing its there.
Disc brakes make so much a difference over your XS650's rear drum brake.
I have a lot of friends in Nashville playing Broadway. I haven't been in about 10 years.. but used to play there too. A lot has changed since I was last there tho.
Thats wicked cool! Nothing better than live music:) Yeah things change so fast around there!
@@BugzyMoto Until about 2 years ago after several ear surgeries, I was a full time musician. I had to give it up after my ears started having major issues. If you're into country music.. you may have heard of my band, Digger Dawg. We were pretty popular in the MA area.
Bugzy's blinka is still on 🤣
hahaha editing this one was very frustrating
Is that a Boston accent on blinker😂😎Dave H
😝
Hey buddy! I love the fact you brought up the MSF, which I so stand behind! And your bike is freaking awesome, but this Honda is flipping sweet! It fits your frame perfect. Not gonna lie, I know it's a Honda, but it looks a little like a Kawasaki Vulcan S, which I own and I totally stand behind. Dude, Justin, It's time to do a low per month loan for a new bike! Jesus.... no kidding, this Honda is really nice.
I'm surprised at how cool this Rebel is, and I am pretty sure Bugzy's gonna get one eventually. She deals in CASH though, she's a beast like that.
@@justinmantell Cash is king Justin! Super smart way of doing things!!
yeah the MSF is so great, I think I'll do another course sometime. My next viddy is a full on review of the 2021 Rebel 500. I love this bike and I've seen some mods that make the engine sound...better 😆
What an awesome video! I LOVED this!! More, more, more!! Of you AND your sister!! Maybe try a Rebel 1100 just for fun next time? Aww, keep these videos coming, Bugzy!! YOU are awesome!
Oh....no, Ive never been to Nashville, but I had a layover in Memphis once about 25 years ago.....
The good thing about the Rebel 1100 is it has different modes, so until you feel confident , you can use rain mode or another mode which will limit the power, etc.
@@pcthayer As much as I dislike electro-nannies, this is a very good feature for any relatively new rider!
@@Ch-ui6mw Especially since on the 1100 you can buy one bike and use the modes, rather than starting on a 300 and moving up to a 500, etc. as you advance. (re: electro-nannies, I was totally p*ssed that the new Rebel 500 didn't have self-canceling turn signals. That safety option should be required on all new bikes. My 1987 Beemer had it way back then.)
@@pcthayer Yeah, that one got me too. A bike built and sold in the 21st Century without self-cancelling turn dignals ?? How did that even get past anyone at Honda, much less the NHTSA.....
@@Ch-ui6mw My current bike (2006) doesn't have them, and I think like many bikers, occasionally leave the blinker on and drivers thinking I am going to turn, cut in front of me. Dangerous!
Nashvillian here and your video came up in my feed and I enjoyed your tour. You rode familiar roads that I ride although I stay away from downtown. It’s disappointing that they put fencing up on that bridge on the parkway like that. Something was needed but they could have done a better job of it. Love your buddy’s Triumph. I just have a small bmw 310gs. Have fun and be safe!
Hey there! Thanks so much for watching:) yeah I knew I wanted to cruise Broadway at least once on a bike, lol once is enough! Ride safe and I hope to hear from you again!
Take care, ride safe.
Mom and dad used to say the clouds were gonna burn off, and they always did. Yes I forget my helmet strap at least once a year.
oh ok so "clouds burning off" is a thing! omg haha once a year 🙈
🐴
Ricky seems like a good dude! It's nice to have a guide when you're riding somewhere new. I found that roads I drove on a hundred times in the car sometimes even looked different on the bike. There can be a lot to pay attention to haha
yeah, Ricky is the best tour guide around! 🐴!
Nice video been through but never stopped
Tennessee is a beautiful state! Thanks for watching:)
You rode right past my house haha. I guess your sister and I live right by each other
oh cool!! Just found you on IG, let's connect, I'm in Nash a bunch!
Never been to Nashville, but my friend has a tattoo shop somewhere in the area I think. (my Tennessee geography is lousy, so not sure how close!) Crazy that you know Lori McKenna. She's from a couple towns over. Never met her, but her song "Even When You're My Age" slays me. She's an incredible writer! Maybe I'll bump into her sometime and we can sing a duet haha.
Oh cool! I love a good tattoo shop 😆 I'll be waiting for that duet!!
Rebel's are pretty damn solid so good pick! You gotta sneak off for a Tail of the Dragon ride
ohh I keep hearing of that ride! 🐉
Big trucks and professional truckers aren't usually a problem its the distracted teens and inexperienced drivers that are the most common cause of motorcycle accidents
Very good point
No big trucks make the view of scenic roads a little more beautiful though 🌲
Honda switching the horn an blinker position is a pain. Everyone switching to Honda from other brands honks the horn a lot.
😅 that makes me feel better
☹️☹️☹️I feel depressed, I won’t be able to see a new Bugzy XS video till at least Friday Lol 😆
😎Dave H
absence makes the heart grow fonder 😂
You're a happy lovely lady.
Please turn off your indicators straight away.
It's the way a lot of bike riders perish.
Oh my gosh thank you so much. I know it’s so scary, I got mad at myself every time.
Might increase your preparation: better gloves and rain gear…
I think it is so funny that the whole Ben Shapiro crowd moves to Nashville because it is "nice and conservative" but it is also one of the main cities that queer and progressive people move to in the south. Such an interesting dichotomy.
u r0ck bugz!!
🤘😉🤘
dat rebel iza ssssweeet bike!!
🙂👌
eye d0nt wear a brainbucket.
😳
eye am kn0t in2 big cities.
🤫
makes me glad me ir0nhead d0esnt even hav blinkers.
