Thanks for this video, greatly appreciated. I’m 5’8”, undecided between Capra MX Medium or Large. Looking at different comments, I feel like a lot of riders are also trying to decide between M/L. Haha.
Sorry, im french so my english is not as good as an americain, but what i meen is that sram recently made a derailleur without derailleur hanger, and that’s call T-type i think, and i wonder if it is going on this bike? I hope that i am understandable…
@@2WheelKylesweet rig!! My concern would be seat tube length in large being 440 and being in the way. But those are just numbers and u have stated u love the bike. Nice work
is the gearing different on the mx compared to the 29? with the same gears the smaller wheel should be less effort, less distance per rotation of the crank.. For rolling over roots and small rocks the 29 is obviously better but that's not what you're talking about right? maybe the shock is making a big difference
@@2WheelKyle I concur - 29ers just roll faster. I just got a Capra Core 3 29r as well - great bike! Possibly the best value bike available right now. My last bike was full 27.5 and I notice a huge difference in rolling speed. Also - if your MX was a Core 3 and also purchased this year it has the exact same spec (including cassette & chainring) as the 29er. The suspension kinematics are bit different between the MX and 29er, but the spec is the same (for the Core 3 at least).
hi, is the feel of the size of the bike similar at 29 and mx? I want to buy a capra mx because I like jumps and fast routes but I don't know if it's a good choice because I'm 183 cm
Yeah they feel very similar. I actually find the 29 more playful but that could just be the suspension. The mx felt very planted with the Fox suspension
@@2WheelKyle awesome! I have the 2022 Core 3 and been thinking about moving to a wireless derailleur/shifter. Great videos by the way! See you around Squamish!
Amazing video quality! Glad to hear all the positives about this bike.
I own the Core1 MX since three weeks and i never hab so much fun on a bike !
They are awesome bikes! Enjoy the trails 🤘🏻
Great vid. I just ordered an mx and I’ll be changing that to the 29. Sick riding too man. Full send !
Thank you! Enjoy the new bike 🤘🏻
Why change to the 29?
@@garrettsmith8286 for me it rolls better over the rough stuff.

I’m the same height and went with the large, I also had the mx for awhile in a large as well. I put a shorter stem on and I don’t mind the size!
Did your Core 3 come with the wireless shifter and the ZEB fork?
I just ordered my core 3 and it comes with the Fox 38 fork and wired derailer.
Yes that’s how my Core 3 came last season. Looks like the Core 4 has the ZEB now
Hey!
I wonder of the frame si T-type ready? If you can awnser to this question it would be perfect
I’m not sure what you mean?

@@MarmOtter999 the bike has the only wireless set up, I’m not sure how compatible it is with the new Sram stuff
@@2WheelKyle ok thank you for your time
Yeah the Capra is compatible with the new Sram transmission groupset
Do you think the mx is better for a shorter rider
I didn’t find to much of a difference with the stand over

I’m not sure what the gear difference is if any. Personally the 29er feels like it just rolls better all around

@@therealridedmc can’t beat the deals they had on the build! They just need better brakes!
@@2WheelKyle agreed. My old bike has Code RSC’s. I may swap the levers over because there is a big difference between them and the Code R.
@@therealridedmc I did that on my MX!

Is this Oregon?
I have Shimano SLX 4 piston and they are incredible brakes.
I might have to give them a try!
What size is the bike relative to your height? How do you feel about the sizing?
I went with the large and I’m at the shortest night for the i believe 5’8” but I’m super happy with the size!
How do you find the GX AXS? Does the chain slap? Been wanting to try them.
I really like it. Chain slap doesn’t seem to be a problem in this model. But I think it is bike dependent for the slap
