    I went to Best Buy for a meet and greet years ago and just fell in love with her. She had shorts and flip flops and was like a regular person, zero pretense. Afterward, she asked us about a lunch place and hopped in her rental car and drove away with her sister. Just a humble sweet girl and her sister, too.

    Kenny, I've seen you interview a lot of people. And I've seen Danica interviewed a lot of times. But your interview was far and away the best, most open, objective and enjoyable interview (discussion) between two people I've seen yet. Congratulations to you both. Danica for her open, honest spirit and you for your thoughtful, deep and revealing questions. I learned a lot about both of you. Keep up the good work.

    Another great interview Kenny. I was an avid NASCAR fan when Danica came on the scene and I witnessed the shit she was handed on the track pretty much on a weekly basis, and I'd be yelling at my tv telling her to catch them and take them out !! The other thing I thought sucked was most every interviewer would ask the same stupid question---" what's it like to be a female in NASCAR" !! Plus I always felt all the attention was a distraction to her when she really needed to be focusing on honing her skill instead of talking about stupid shit. And just to finish---I think Danica is gorgeous--a natural beauty, and personally I think she's moreso now than before !!!

    Our family started in open wheel racing in 1955 and still going. My two oldest sisters started racing Karts and quarter midgets in 1955 so, I grew up in a family of girls in racing. I’ve always supported women in racing. And for me, that’s just one reason why I support Danika Patrick in anything she wants to race.

    It’s a very bold statement for Danica to say a lot of people (and drivers) texted her when she made the comments about MTJ and Sherry Pollex several months ago on her Instagram…stating that she was right and they all felt the same way…but then refuses to mention names. If you can’t mention names, you should probably just keep your lips zipped because it’s all just hearsay at that point. Was she involved in their relationship? Does she know everything that was said, done, etc? She should just mind her own business.

    • @joshuaduff7439
      @joshuaduff7439 7 месяцев назад +5

      I agree Danica should have kept her mouth shut regarding Sherry Pollex. She lost my respect when she is saying all this nasty stuff about MTJ when she knows nothing about what really happened.

    • @C3rb3ruS_88
      @C3rb3ruS_88 6 месяцев назад

      It's not a bold statement. Either you believe her words or not, and I have the feeling you would never believe whatever she says because it's just the way you see her. Besides, it looks like she obviously knows more on the subject than most others, so it's bold for you as well to doubt her. Not mentioning names it's something almost everyone would do in her place, it's just a common thing to do in these cases, it doesn't mean it's not true. Like I said, she doesn't have to give anybody any proof, you either believe her or not.

      @@NRIautos
      Since you are focused on sex appeal it makes it hard for you to understand that auto racing at the nascar level is a business.
      She could drive, she could qualify well, she brought an audience. Though it’s perhaps simple or easy to say she may not have been “driven” internally to win like a KB or Rusty or Petty, she competed in a couple of the world’s top auto racing genres and was part of the ‘show’ that Harvick has spoken about.
      While it’s reasonable to speculate that if someone like, say, a Michael McDowell had her seat at SHR the statistics for the car would have been better, another reasonable observation to make is how many ‘Cup’ drivers even now DON’T have as many of the pieces of the puzzle put together as she did. It’s also reasonable to observe how often she got intentionally ’raced bad’ or ‘used up’ in bad track locations by fellow drivers- probably because she was a woman.
      Just because you want to have an opinion and include some ‘factoid’ or another doesn’t make you right. It just means you’re opinionated.
      Not everyone can be a Larson or a Stewart or a JJ. And she didn’t get there. But she parlayed herself into the opportunity to try and then exited with her self confidence intact. So…. how’d your Cup-series attempt go?

    I agree, I'm a happy person, I'm multi-talented, and love helping people. I'm 77, did drag racing, engine building, water & snow skiing, carpentry, restoring everything from old houses to old cars. But I like being in a happy mood when I'm working or helping others. That's why Clint Boyer is my favorite happy guy in Nascar. Watched Kenny in the 70's, like at Valley Park, and was pit crew for a buddy at Bellclair Raceway (only Kenny will probably know) - but loved this conversation.

Dropped out, later got a GED, then went to the university at nights, where he met his wife. She always bitched, she got C's, he got straight A's and hardly opened a book. As a central Illinois boy, I agree, some subjects I've never used. Graduated 🎓 from trade school, at 50 Graduated from college, and at 70 just finished a geology course. I have never been a Danica Patrick race fan but her personally, I am!
    She speaks her truth and it is nice to hear! She does not care to be politically correct!
    I always liked MTJ until the last year and a half. I don't know what happened with himself and Sherry but the statement he made after she passed was not from someone that was in a relationship for 15 years! He did seem to find someone very quickly too, just saying! Great Interview Kenny!!!

    What I think is kinda funny, is that Denny's set for his podcast has the photo of Danica chewing out Denny on pit road.
    The problem with F1, is that a great driver can't make up for a less than top tier car.

    I was always confused how Danica and Ricky Stenhouse dated for a while. Ricky is a devoted Baptist and Danica has some interesting beliefs. I don't see how that relationship ever started.

    As a diehard NASCAR fan for over 50 years and a big fan of the show! When Danica came into the scene I thought it was mostly a NASCAR pr stunt and i wasn't a big fan! But after she started I changed my mind and after a while I realized that she was like a ping pong ball and she was being a female that got a touch of what really had been 99% men! She did bring in a new group of fans with women and little girls!! Great job Kenny!!
