🚨 Throwback Alert! 🚨 It's about time we released this episode in full on RUclips - enjoy this interview from 2022 with Tony Eury Jr where he talks being Dale's family, going fast, and the fall of DEI.
God bless Tony and his wife for taking on such a huge responsibility to raise those boys! I truly wish others that have the means would follow their lead!!
You got to Love the fact Tony Jr knows what his Strengths are and what his Weaknesses are, but you can hear it all comes from a place of Respect and Appreciation!
If y’all are reading this, I’d like to let yall know I was hooked on these for a few months, somehow kinda got off track, and then found this on Facebook through a reel and had to go find it. I don’t follow nascar anymore tbh. But I really enjoy this kind of thing. Family stories. Loved it.
Listened from start to finish in one sitting. Not an easy thing for this scatter brain. I really miss the old days when there were fewer rules and more innovation. Really enjoyed this get together. Kudos to all.
I LOVE this episode! I’m so happy to see you have Tony Jr on here talking about the past! Need more of this…. This brings back so many memories of your career and I loved the Eurys too… this has to be one of your best episodes!
One of the few podcasts that I listen to more than once. The episode probably plays once a week on my Bluetooth speaker at the shop. No one has ever complained either. Great stuff. 🎉
Thank you for the best stories ever! This just backs up when I was a NASCAR fan! We need more of this. I loved this time of my life when I ate, lived and breathed the Bud 8!
Not that you really need a crew chief in late model but be cool if Tony Eury Jr would be your crew chief on the 8 Bud car in one of your Late Model races. Be great to see you two together again
@bobbytaylor3177 You actually do need a crew chief in Late Model racing, and especially for the bigger, longer events. Tony Eury and Dale Jr were one of those combinations, that are magical, that don't come along very often. I'd really love to see Tony Jr at Jr Motorsports.
when people question the magnitude of losing a beacon like Dale Sr. they need to watch this episode. i know im stating the obvious to most but there are still some that dont get it. watch these fine young men discuss the trials & tribulations of their careers, their personal inter-relationship difficulties of the past, squabble1s amongs teams, etc and so much more. if we dont lose Dale Sr in '01?.. these fellows tell a story thats 180 degrees from the ones they're telling now. its a testament to their characters & integrity that they've been able to see the importance of family type friendships & commitments to each other.. kudos to all of you, and thanks for sharing your lives & history with all of us.
I was so hoping Mike was back! This hasn't been as good since he left & all the changes made. I rarely watch it now with the new people on here. Dale needs to go back to how it used to be! This was the best one in a very long time, even if it is a throwback!!
Yeah I can't stand the new kids on the show. One in particular tries way too hard to be noticed, and talks way too much for someone nobody even knows who they are. A bunch of guys and gals who have lived those years talking about their experiences is what made the podcast shine IMO. To be honest I have a harder time relating to the new age NASCAR fans as well.
I know why Mike Davis isn't sitting at the table any more and I respect his decision, but DAMN, he has the best insight and knowledge of events to ask THAT question to really get a guest to open up.
I know what Tony jr is saying. We took in a baby girl at the beginning of Covid and she saved us as much as we saved her. We went from empty nesting to diapers and wouldn't have it any other way. God bless you guys.
Met Eury Jr and Sr at Ky speedway. Had garage and pitt passes best time i ever had at a race. Met alot of drivers and great people. It was a xfinity race where Logano won 3 straight. Cousin Carl was 2nd met him too. Carl is a great guy. Hated to see him retire.
Unrelated but can I just say what a race what a performance, you are the man dale. Unfortunate early ending, but seriously WOW. Climbed through the whole pack early, how's that u ran 2nd place aiming for the top 20? Still got it brother, excited for the next one. U got me liking these late models more than NASCAR in a little over a year, the bud alpine suit and car scheme looked awesome too. the red bud 8 stood out in the pack more than any car and I hope to see more of it🔥💯
Man that little fella doesn't realize he's in the presence of greatness and has the memory of a life time right here when he gets old and watches this.
Great episode. The three microphone approach to these tell all recounts of events we remember gives shape and perspective kind of like stereo to what would have otherwise been a monologue. And we’re all not as lucky like Tim Brewer and just rattle off a three hour monologue whenever someone asks. Great stuff.
The Eury's are the best guests the download has had. Need them more often especially with innovation segments. I'm sure there is a lot more than they have already said
To be fair, Dale is the only Dale Earnhardt left alive, Dale just aint got it in his head yet. This is the lesson Theresa desperately needed to learn, DEI doesn't survive without a Dale Earnhardt walking into that shop and Dale senior has been dead for 23 years. That shop is just sitting there, dark, with the black #3 car sitting in the front lobby. Will Taylor and Dale Jr take the hint, god only knows.
Bring Mike back on a regular...I think you guys do well together...i believe theres a certain amount of context in the two of, Mike adds to what Jr brings to the table, always
100% agree they could’ve won multiple championships if they stayed together n the Earnhardt name would have the most championships in nascar history period
W O W.... ANOTHER GREAT PODCAST... LETS HEAR SOME MORE FROM THE GUYS INVOLVED IN THE SHAKE-UPS. AS WELL AS THOSE SPECIAL SECRET MESSAGES DURING A RACE.
Jr, I was watching the show with Kenny Schrader, you had made a comment about loving to have one of Ralph's cars, I met Billy Biscoe many years ago and he owns the #8 Go or Blow car, at least he did at that time. It was on American Pickers season 3 episode 13,
Agree! Not a fan of the current lineup. Don't watch much anymore. Mike was there through much of Jr's career and even before. So, he had insight from different perspectives. These kids on there now weren't even born.
Man, could not agree more. I was just saying how Mike grew in me once I understood him better. These two youngins drive me crazy, so strange. They can't even relate to the history it seems at times.
Interesting tidbits here - we all knew Dale had his struggles after going to Hendricks but it seems like Tony was the only one who realized how messed up things were for him. It was hard to follow all the goings on they talked about in the last few years of DEI and the first years at Hendrick. Also, did I hear things correctly that the beginning of Jr Motorsports had 4 owners: Hendrick, Jr., Kelley and Tony Jr.? That’s the first I heard of that. Is Hendrick still involved?
I like what tony jr said about Theresa thinking she could survive without dale jr and it quickly backfired on her she needed dale jr for that team to survive and also for dale Jr's side of things I believe the issue with JR not having more success at hendrick was DEI was a hands on hard working family where as I don't think that kind of work ethics blended well with an organization that was technologically based with hendrick and like what tony jr said he was "just getting comfortable" at hendrick when the concussions started and if that didn't happen or to be honest if steve didn't retire I think more wins was coming

God bless Tony and his wife for taking on such a huge responsibility to raise those boys! I truly wish others that have the means would follow their lead!!

Tony Sr is the coolest old school and a hard man but he shows his hart when he told Tony Jr to give that spring that is family ❤
You really need to have him back again that was great
This has to be one of the best episodes! Thanks for the full upload!
Listened from start to finish in one sitting. Not an easy thing for this scatter brain. I really miss the old days when there were fewer rules and more innovation. Really enjoyed this get together. Kudos to all.

Always the best episodes when you have your family on Jr... Your Mamaw's is one of my favorites...along with your sister, aunt, & uncle.
this is hands down THE BEST conversation you folks have ever done and one that your fans NEEDED to hear!!!
So glad y’all are releasing the full interviews. Please do DW next.
One of the few podcasts that I listen to more than once. The episode probably plays once a week on my Bluetooth speaker at the shop. No one has ever complained either. Great stuff. 🎉
Thanks for putting the whole show on RUclips. I hope you get Tony on again. Love his stories.
Thank you for the best stories ever! This just backs up when I was a NASCAR fan! We need more of this. I loved this time of my life when I ate, lived and breathed the Bud 8!
Loved revisiting this discussion. Glad you guys reposted it. 👏🏻👍🏻
I absolutely love you guys!!! You guys had me laughing so hard my stomach hurt!! Im so glad to see Tony Eury Jr again too!!
You guys are awesome. Have him back soon. Loved seeing Mike back

I hated Mike. I was wrong. New kids think they are part of the show, not just the producers.
Love ya Cuz! Tony Jr. And Dale Jr. The best Duo ever ❤️ what could have been...
Hell yes , Mike Davis !
Probably the best show dales had! It was so nice to actually hear from the guest talk instead of hearing dale over talk was wonderful.
Man that is so badass, big Kudos Tony
Dale Junior's biggest career mistake was letting the Eurys go. By far.
Tony Jr is just as big as part of those bud years as Jr
@SmokeShow9969 Absolutely right he was.
I always respected this young man now I even have more respect for him .
God Bless you brother adopting 2 boys who need a Father and Mother. Better yet a Father and Mother who needed rescue. God is good.
@eugeneanderson7984 Amen! I so agree with you & I pray God blesses them for taking these 2 sweethearts into their lives! ❤️🩹🙏
Love the praises and flowers tony jr giving dale 🙏
WE NEED MIKEY BACK
I know why Mike Davis isn't sitting at the table any more and I respect his decision, but DAMN, he has the best insight and knowledge of events to ask THAT question to really get a guest to open up.
Great interview. Didn't want it to end.
Miss the old days
I’m loving ‘this’ Tony. Letting the kids on in, makes me so happy that y’all are dads.
‘We want to know about the ones you didn’t get caught with’ made me laugh. Thank you for these podcasts.
Wow wow! This was great!!
What a great video thank you gentlemen.
Tony Eury Jr. God bless you brother. You are a great person an I have total respect for you brother.
I enjoyed this episode me and my wife watched you guys through the years and always wondered what had happened with the break up. I really enjoyed it!
Thank you for this.
Yes, thank you so much for posting this!
What a great one. I miss Mike
Great interview!
Jr and jr were a heck of a team together
LOVED this !!!!
Can't wait until the next one! Friendships like that are priceless. Excellent, Excellent, Excellent !!
I know what Tony jr is saying.
We took in a baby girl at the beginning of Covid and she saved us as much as we saved her. We went from empty nesting to diapers and wouldn't have it any other way. God bless you guys.
Please, Please have him Back, Please!

@davidanderson4404 -
I didn't know Logano & Carl were cousins!
Love listening to these two! Could listen all day to their stories!
Unrelated but can I just say what a race what a performance, you are the man dale. Unfortunate early ending, but seriously WOW. I understand why he retired but I sure do miss him on the track!
The good Ole days of Jr and Jr kicking a$$
This is so incredibly well put together, had me balling the last like 30 min
Good to see boys together. Even if it’s a replay. Dynamic duo
Loved this interview!! Have him back soon 👏👍
3:00 what an opening. Awesome
Man that little fella doesn't realize he's in the presence of greatness and has the memory of a life time right here when he gets old and watches this.
Tony is a old friend. Always the real deal and genuine.
Dawn Tony you are truly a great man saving two innocent kids. BTW that young boy is adorable. You have a new fan
Great episode. The three microphone approach to these tell all recounts of events we remember gives shape and perspective kind of like stereo to what would have otherwise been a monologue. And we’re all not as lucky like Tim Brewer and just rattle off a three hour monologue whenever someone asks. Great stuff.
The adoption piece got me. God bless you all.
I miss mike on the show
The Eury's are the best guests the download has had. Need them more often especially with innovation segments. I'm sure there is a lot more than they have already said
This was awesome - put that good motor you reused often in that #8 again haha - love that TonyJr called him Big E ❤️ M in Miami ; )

This is my favorite episode so far.
Bring Mike back on a regular...I think you guys do well together...i believe theres a certain amount of context in the two of, Mike adds to what Jr brings to the table, always
I miss Mike
Great episode loved every minute of it
Totally awesome!
The memories of Dale Jr winning the 1999 Dover race I was sitting on turn 4!
Soooo glad Amy aint on trying to tell us what drivers do or feel.
episodes like this are why most if us are here.
Amy is a great addition when she is on! Love her ❤
Wish these guys could have stayed together in cup.
100% agree they could’ve won multiple championships if they stayed together n the Earnhardt name would have the most championships in nascar history period
Deshavu? Or a repeat from a few years back? Either way this is the best conversations! Eury boys are some vicious dudes.
W O W.... ANOTHER GREAT PODCAST...
LETS HEAR SOME MORE FROM THE GUYS INVOLVED IN THE SHAKE-UPS. AS WELL AS THOSE SPECIAL SECRET MESSAGES DURING A RACE.
Sweet shirt Dale, my fam and I just visited Ron's Racing Museum in Massachusetts's a week ago where his #47 Talladega win car is preserved!
This is the talk that change jr and teresa relationship. After this everything change
Jr, I was watching the show with Kenny Schrader, you had made a comment about loving to have one of Ralph's cars, I met Billy Biscoe many years ago and he owns the #8 Go or Blow car, at least he did at that time. It was on American Pickers season 3 episode 13,
Bring. Back. Mike. Davis.
Need Mike back
Kid was smooth about grabbing that car off the table.
Is the perfect example of somebody that understands the physics of how a car is supposed to handle, technology to have an even better outcome
Good for you TE jr!!!!
just great
Man that’s tough when jr said “ if she said deal I would of stayed and we’d kept digging “
yall need to make a movie doc about thoses years
Never thought I would miss Mike, but the new group of kids is completely disconnected from what made the show great.
Agree! Not a fan of the current lineup. Don't watch much anymore. Mike was there through much of Jr's career and even before. So, he had insight from different perspectives. These kids on there now weren't even born.

I want to see Michael Waltrip on Dirty Mo
I miss this format with Mike
New show's just not as good ,
Still
Jr America's favorite driver 🏎️ 😁 👍
This is a big episode
This podcast is slowly making me a fan of racing… 🤔
Anyone found the footage of pop’s going off at dale jr after him and Michael got togeather
Peyton and Eli????? Hell yeah!
Thinking about the stickers stacked up in front of the damn in car camera...
Nice
I like what tony jr said about Theresa thinking she could survive without dale jr and it quickly backfired on her she needed dale jr for that team to survive and also for dale Jr's side of things I believe the issue with JR not having more success at hendrick was DEI was a hands on hard working family where as I don't think that kind of work ethics blended well with an organization that was technologically based with hendrick and like what tony jr said he was "just getting comfortable" at hendrick when the concussions started and if that didn't happen or to be honest if steve didn't retire I think more wins was coming
If Dale Jr. took his job and his LEGACY serious.
He could have been a serious competitor for Championships every year of his career.
Always liked Honest Chad Knaus > he was the Smokey Yanick of that time period jmo
Smokey Yunick
