🚨 Throwback Alert! 🚨 This episode is a classic, but we've never released the full version on RUclips... until now! With Herm & Schrader dropping their first episode next week, we thought it was the perfect time to re-release this gem.
Get Schrader and Kenny on at the same time. That would be the greatest show ever!!! EVER!!!!! Make it a 2 part 1 hour show each. You still wouldn’t scratch the surface on all the stories they got.
Man, I love Kenny Wallace. I've been a NASCAR fan for decades and this dude is one of the funniest guys in the business. This dude's the happiest most positive dude ever. We need Kenny in this business forever.
This is the best podcast. Dale Earnhardt Junior has done. Wallace knows so much. It’s like going back in the old days. I love the Wallace and you could probably have them on again and the stories would be different and all because he’s got so many stories to talk about he needs to write a book.
I know Mike wanted to do MORE then JUST this show but man the chemistry is just sooooo good but mikes been killing it make dirty mo even bigger and better
This makes me really miss Mike being on the Podcast. He really made Jr a great partner. Mike was very talented at interviewing people. Kenny is bigger than life and Mike really helped Jr with this interview. 🇺🇸🦅🏁
Wallace lives extremely close to where I live. Extremely genuine guy and always polite with a hello back even when he likely does not want to be bothered. Just a normal guy trying to live life. Great show from a non racing fan.
This and Chastains recent podcast are superb. And Kenny, many drivers go out and win races but few become legends. You're a legend man, anyone who says otherwise doesn't know your story.
This is my favorite podcast of all time. Kenny Wallace and his brothers were all great drivers. One of the best interviews from Kenny when he was still racing was when he raced his way in the Daytona 500 with his brother Mike as his spotter.
I have watched this 4 or 5 times this makes me smile the good old days I don't even watch Nascar just dales show I used to love to go to the races and Dale Sr was the man now just not the same thanks for the great memories
As a very long time NASCAR fan since my first race I attended in 1986. This episode was so awesome. Love how you and Kenny connected. The spirit of the greatest days of your career is mesmerizing. God bless and many happy trails.
I don’t know how many times I can say “damn, that’s the best episode you’ve made” but here I am again. What a great episode. Great to have Mike back for such a big guest. Dirty Mo is top shelf.
Watching this from Thailand and loved it please get him back for another podcast, this man is a walking talking museum and this is what NASCAR needs now ❤
GOAT!!! Dale, you've become a great interviewer. Ya put Kenny in the catbird seat where Mike sits, and he'll provide all the Herman the German humor. Mike takes the executive producer role, and Dale, you've got podcast gold.
I remember back several years ago, Kenny Wallace and Kenny Schrader both came to Portsmouth Raceway Park in Ohio to race with us. Both drivers came out for hot laps and really got their cars dialed in. KW was in the first heat and had some mechanical issues and was out for the night. Never to be one to disappoint the fans, he got back to the hauler changed clothes and headed straight up to the tower to help the track announcer call the rest of the action throughout the night. He was on fire and you couldn't stop him!! At the end, a few of the workers in the tower asked for autographs, and when he got to me I asked him "would you record a voicemail greeting on my cell phone?" His response was "I love it, lets do it". Word got out about it and by the time Sunday morning rolled around I had nearly 500 missed calls and complete strangers leaving messages that they just wanted to the voicemail. Dale, you and your staff do a fantastic job on all of these interviews, your are preserving history and highlighting exactly what it took to get to that next level!
My Mother in law lived with us for over 20 years. She was wonderful to have around the kids and she always took my side in arguments. She has past for a few years and I still miss her.
Dale! I want you to know that this interview with Kenny brought back so many memories to me about me slot car racing before my dad caught me riding a mini bike down our street with a mac 100 which made my dad get me started in go kart racing in nor california where i was an open lite champion which led me to enduro karts where i raced at riverside raceway a few times. I still remember your dad i think ,on wide world of sports running that car on your wall at riverside raceway, and thought what a thrill it was to race on the same track. Those were the Very Best times of my life. Now i'm living the dream in the Philippines at 72 watching your show still getting the thrill that you always remind me of. Love you Dale. You are the Greatest, still....♥
I miss the entrance part! So funny June says I bet you've already had 5 cups of coffee ☕ ! Watching this again cuz we love ole Herm and ofcourse June and Mike ❤ M. in Miami ; )
Honestly, I’d love to see a nascar podcast with Kenny and Michael Waltrip. Both personalities are very entertaining and they have amazing insight to the sport of NASCAR
Love the Hermanator , grass roots racer ! Loved ; to Dale Inman ; hey Dale when are you guys gonna pit !? Absolute classic Kenny Wallace ! Thanks Jr. for being the best interviewer and historian ….. and fun to watch CARS tour competitor !!
It is a very odd feeling. Growing up in a world where NASCAR was nonexistent. Too far away and too much to keep up with. Drag racing was the Motorsports of choice. It was local to us. Just what we did. I think the same thing happened with drag racing as what happened to NASCAR. Business just ran its course and subdued the personalities. Drag racing has John Force. He’s someone we all enjoy listening to. Good common ground people. I’m finding out the world of NASCAR has the most rich history of genuine people. Each one of these segments are enjoyable. Very good people on display. I can listen and relate in more ways than I ever thought possible. It makes for a better day listening to these people. All of them. I’m a Dale Earnhardt fan. I am a Kenny Wallace fan. Love these people so much I’d never want to bother them.
What an excellent interview, a perfect into to Herm and Schrader new show. Great interview with Mike earlier in the month, he was such an asset to the show but pleased hes following his dreams. Great job... history is so important...
I am a STL dirt/Nascar girl been watching the Wallace boys for years! Everyone needs to go to Fairbury, IL and St. Clair, Belleville, IL. Love You Kenny🥰
Man oh man what an enjoyable hour and a 1/4.....was so involved in watching it didn't dawn on me this was from 2019 until it was over.... this 75 year old fart enjoyed listening to you 3 and those stories. Appreciate it!!
I remember it all once you were in BGN, the hotels, all open doors and room hopping and shop talk. We were so lucky to have been there. Glory days, the birth of Race City USA! and Robert Black era, OMGosh! We never realized how great it was! Winning then, was so hard! It was to chase that feeling of winning! No regrets!
My son loved hanging out at Dave Maders too! and he was with that wild bunch of drag racing kids that built those nitrous Mustangs and, well 'drove', up and down Triplett, they practiced for Thursday test and tune, and Saturday at the dragway. Gosh today they would be so in trouble!
I worked at Talladega Spring 2001. Yep. That one. I moved away later that summer. I would occasionally catch a race on TV in the early oughts. People here can probably tell me the race... it was the first half of a season because DW was up in the booth. There was an insanely long rain delay. The booth was scrambling for content. Someone gave Kenny a microphone, and told him to go interview people. To this day, it was one of my favorite NASCAR broadcasts. Kenny's PMA and unique conversational style brought out such great tidbits throughout that entire segment. Even funnier, the editor created a stopwatch feature. DW and crew were having a blast while Kenny was making great TV. I'm convinced that the segment is why Kenny was later able to do TV. Kenny would have difficulty getting Dale Jr. incognito. Even with professional theater makeup, like for undercover boss... We all would recognize Dale Jr.'s distinctive voice and speech patterns.🤭
What a awesome show, especially talking about all the dirt tracks in my area Macon,Jacksonville,Fairbury,Farmer City, Lincoln plus many others junebug has a helluva operation.
Man I LOVE to hear yall talk about Myrtle Beach Speedway as it reminds me when I got to race there and all the rest. Just WONDERFUL information. Would love to see Felix Sabates on the Download........THANK YALL SO MUCH !!!!!
Kenny Wallace is a National Treasure and should be protected. I could listen to Kenny talk and tell stories for days.... I know from listening to Kenny interview Mike Davis, Mike wanted to do other things but dang I miss him on the DJD....
Such a great podcast thank you guys. I wish you guys could organise some Legend races. Something on a short track with all famous drivers and if possible with the original shape cars of their times. Like Dale Jr, Kenny, Jeff Gordon etc all together one more time on track just for fun. It will be awesome
'a lot of people didn't like Rusty, I was his little brother' 'oh yeah' Junior understands the legacy, good & bad, being passed on to a younger upcoming family member very well.
Herman is just straight up the best!! That man says whats on his mind and doesnt give two shits if someone dont like it. The world needs more Herman. I was working at the Brickyard years ago when Chevy testing was going on and i walked into the bar at Brickyard crossing that night and Kenny was in there and was holding court, ive not laughed like that in years
🚨 Throwback Alert! 🚨 This episode is a classic, but we've never released the full version on RUclips... until now! With Herm & Schrader dropping their first episode next week, we thought it was the perfect time to re-release this gem.

Man, I love Kenny Wallace. I've been a NASCAR fan for decades and this dude is one of the funniest guys in the business. This dude's the happiest most positive dude ever. We need Kenny in this business forever.
You said it perfectly. I agree
This is the best podcast. Dale Earnhardt Junior has done. Wallace knows so much. It’s like going back in the old days. I love the Wallace and you could probably have them on again and the stories would be different and all because he’s got so many stories to talk about he needs to write a book.
The go-cart part of the pod was rad
You definitely appreciate a guy like Kenny Wallace a lot more when you find out guys like Dale Sr wanted him around and knew he was a good ole boy.

The tri city story was not the whole truth
I know Mike wanted to do MORE then JUST this show but man the chemistry is just sooooo good but mikes been killing it make dirty mo even bigger and better

This makes me really miss Mike being on the Podcast. He really made Jr a great partner. Mike was very talented at interviewing people. Kenny is bigger than life and Mike really helped Jr with this interview. 🇺🇸🦅🏁

Love Kenny Wallace, please do have him back soon! 😊
Kenny always makes me smile. One of my favorite episodes ever.
This is my favorite podcast of all time. Kenny Wallace and his brothers were all great drivers. One of the best interviews from Kenny when he was still racing was when he raced his way in the Daytona 500 with his brother Mike as his spotter.

This was great, looking forward to Part 2 or as many parts as it takes!!

The Podcast was better in 2019, when this originally aired, than its current form in 2024.
