- On the way back from Moab I stopped in Draper, Utah, to hang out with my fellow MTB RUclipsr Jason, AKA MTB yumyum.
He’s made Corner Canyon famous by doing a ton of bike reviews and I was stoked to go ride his local trails. They did not disappoint. Jason was an awesome dude and the trails were TOO MUCH FUN!

Great collaboration guys - nice to see you guys riding together! Jason lives in such a nice place, great weather and terrain for riding, no wonder he’s always smiling
Yep it's a pretty amazing place!
Man, that looks super swoopy and fun! I love that kind of singletrack!
It was a BLAST
Awesome stuff! So cool that you got to meet Jason and ride in those gorgeous trails. The fall colors are amazing!
It was a great day!
So cool to see Yum Yum ride. The guy rips!
He really was a shredder!
I dream of dry trails ..no matter what time of the year in England and Wales there’s always rain and mud ...another great vid Brian 👌🏻
Haha me too! Thanks dude
That looked like a whole load of fun! Ace job Brian
That looked like an absolute blast! Jason seems like a real cool guy as well.
He is! We had a lot of fun
Great trail, really well ridden, great vid, I posted a comment on MTB yumyum about a multi collaboration adding the likes of blindstuff MTB, savant, singletrack sampler etc and how cool it would be, give it the beans Brian, it’s a good time to be a mountain biker 😀👍🏻
Thanks dude!!
I've been riding since the 80's and I can confirm that it's the Best Time to be a Mountain Biker!
Nice, glad to hear that!
OMG!! 2 of my favourite youtubers riding together!! 🤩
namkul exactly what I was thinking.
namkul, haha this was a great day in the saddle... Brian is a great guy and a lot of fun to ride with for sure!
MTB yumyum due to your reviews, I will getting myself a Pivot Firebird 😂👍🏼
😁👍
namkul, dude lucky you! Firebird rips!
Glad you checked out CC. Yea, I looked at that Jacob's gap a fair number of times before I started hitting it. Great video!
Haha good to hear I’m not alone
Classic Wasatch Front MTB riding. Nice you were able to get a taste of it. Having lived in Salt Lake City for years I enjoyed similar trails in Millcreek and City Creek Canyon areas. Super quick access from a large metro area can’t be beat. Enjoy and have a beer or two before you go. Some decent local breweries there in SLC.
Such a great spot! Thanks dude
Dude. I've been busy with school and missing some of ur videos but you've given me my hype back for when I go home and get riding and skiing again
Glad to hear that!!
Fast trail with beautiful autumn colors, spectacular
Thanks Fabio!
I'm so glad you hooked up with Jason/MTBYumYum. Hopefully you've just exposed him to loads of your subscribers and they subscribe to his channel too. He makes great content and one of my favourite RUclipsrs along with SSS, Trail Peak, and you of course dude! Haha. Check out Outdoor Gold too dude. He's got some good vids and maybe you could do a collab with him too? Keep up the shred and hope Africa is fun so far.
Cheers - Jay
JBone XC thank you for the kind words! Riding with Brian was really a lot of fun... hope to start hooking up for new cool videos and ideas in the future!
You're welcome bro!
Thanks dude, glad you dig Jason's stuff!
Yum Yum gots dat style! But really, as cool as the riding is, and seeing that trail many many times. Those colors are downright amazing! Love this time of year!
Yeah the fall colors were great!
Jacobs ladder is by far my fav trail up there and levitate, love you vids so much mate
Another awesome one. We always look forward to your videos, Brian.
Major props for doing your bit with the RUclips community too. I’m not sure you’re doing it intentionally but just mentioning other channels is a sick way to help them out. We’ve hit the subscribe button on a few other folk that you’ve recommended and now we don’t really watch TV anymore - there’s just too much MTB awesomeness on YT. Thanks!
Love hearing that guys! It's all about community!
I’ve watched this on yumyums channel it was good actually seeing you give it the beans buddy 👍🏻
Haha thanks!
Some nice flow nuggets, you so had that gap jump on the first trail. Go for it next time. As for the portable mini zip line Camara set up, genius the guy is going to have a market for it for sure
Next time I'll give it the beans!
If they are looking for people to test that cable cam system, I would very much be interested in using it for a few weeks and provide some feedback. That is way more useful than a portable slider!
Dude, if you already have a gimbal and gopro.. this is honestly the next best thing to boost your footage. So smooth and easy to set up!
Yeah it's a neat little thing!
MTB yumyum for sure! I know a lot of people in the industry that would love to have this. I just sent them an email to see if I can get my hands on one. I have so many ideas for it!
Good News! The Mini system is completed and ready for use! We'll get back to your email, lets figure out something !
I figured you'd be on a demo Hightower LT for sure. Really cool perspective from you to see how rowdy Jacob's Ladder is
Yeah, I wasn't sure what to expect but it was legit!!
MTB Yum Yum and yummy mummies! Sounds like you had the perfect day. Cool trails. Thanks Brian.
Hahaha thanks dude
Good one Jason, liked the set up before the trail, going to the shop etc the cable camera. I usually can't make it through just riding some monotonous trail (Spain).
Yeah, I really wanted to give Brian a feel for what I do... so, straight to GoRide bike shop, setup some bike and go rip some trails! Great day for sure!
Glad you liked it!
Those trails was smooth. Like a rollercoaster and they looked really fun!
Exactly! I loved em
Welcome to Utah man!! Hopefully this becomes a yearly thing for you!
Thanks Brandon !
I live like .5 miles from corner canyon the trails are so great there! hope you enjoyed it!
It was a blast!
Now I literally have seen that trail a million times haha!
Hahaha yes
You had that gap! Thank goodness there's always next time. Fall is the best time to ride. The colors are amazing.
Yep, next time for sure!
The fall makes this ride colorful. It's a lovely footage.
That jump at 5:48 looked more scary than it actually was according the guys.
6:55 the small turns were super fun to watch. I bet it was super fun to riding it too.
9:33 That zip-line / cable camera thing is a good ideal.
And the hooting makes the ride more fun and more safe, because you can be heard from greater distance and ppl know you are coming. "Hot mamas" makes this ride more interesting xD
I bet it worth to give this trail more beans.
13:26 That tree bent over the trail looks like a gate. Nature is amazing.
Haha hooting for safety!!
I literally just rode this today! Awesome vid! This is in my backyard!!!
Nice!!
Nice flow and the colours something else!!
Really a pretty day!
Definitely looked like a fun ride - pretty smooth and flowy and fast. Nice looking shop too!
It was a great all arounder!
Awesome video, loved the trail! I am gonna have to try and take a trip to Utah next year. Must look amazing in the summer!
Nice! I hope you do
Another good collaboration!
Thanks coach
Those colors are awesome, my favorite time to ride
Definitely a beautiful thing!
ooo sick trails! Gonna google map it now and try and make it out there
This looked crazy fast! Another great ride man! Smashed that thumbs up!
It was a great one!
That trail is flowy and beautiful!
Big time!
Awesome ride man, you guys had some intense speed going on there.
Can't wait to finally upgrade to a modern mountsin bike hopefully this spring and get back out on some trails out here in BC. Your videos are awesome man....makes me wanna get a go pro and a gimble mount and make my own videos....but they would be much more tame, but thats ok by me for now.
It was a blast! Glad to hear I’m inspiring you!
Hey Brian I'm 6'4" and I like security and safety but I also like the idea of rolling over objects like nothing so which full sus is better for me? 27.5+ or 29er?
I know you asked Brian but I'll chime in... I ride a ton of bikes and at your height, you'd likely feel right at home on a 29er.... Honestly, I'd skip the 27.5+ In most cases it doesn't add any additional traction and just feels slow and vague. Also, at your height, the seat post will be very high out of the seat tube (frame) so you'll really benefit from a steeper seat-tube angle. So something like a 73'ish degree seat tube angle would put you further back where your butt would be more over the rear axle and a 75 degree seat tube angle will bring your saddle more forward... Hope this makes sense but my taller friends always look for bikes with steeper seat tube angles to avoid having that saddle to far back over the rear axle... because the actual saddle height is so much higher for tall people the seat angle becomes a bigger factor... hope this helps and good luck!
Yeah what Jason said
Bill Winningham, Prof. ???
Sorry, I meant to say you sound like a professor, so much knowledge. You should run a bike shop some day, maybe you retire down the road.
Awesome video Brian! Sometime when you're in Utah you should hit up the Thunder Mountain Trail in southern Utah. Amazing descent through pink cliffs similar to Bryce Canyon. Also the epic Virgin River Rim trail is one of the best adventure rides in the state!
Nice, gotta put it on the list!
I live right near go ride!!!!!!! Love you bkxc!!!!! You're the best. Deserve more subs. Truly
Very cool, thanks dude!
Awesome! Been waiting for this video since you posted this Ride on Strava
Nice!!
Nice collab! Those trails were all fun and play.
Thanks Tommi!
Another super fun vid, nothing like riding with fast flowy friends.
One of the best days ever!
Great job at CC Brian! This is my local trail, I don't feel bad now seeing you bail on that gap jump at the end of Jacobs😳it took me 5-6 times to get the courage to clear it!...you are human after all...lol
Haha nice!! It was a blast
Way to tear that trail up even when riding blind. Keep riding I'm enjoying your videos and much inspiration
Thanks so much Brandon! Love hearing that
BKXC No thank you..I have started riding more and have gotten friends to start up too. KEEP THE PAIN SO GOOD GOING🤘
Sick to see the YUMYUM from a different perspective!
Glad you liked that!
What a great rde & some great people! Cool Brian ;) What a great time to be a MTB!
It was a blast David!
Good Friday morning to you, Brian! And happy December as well! What have you for us today? Let's ride!
0:43 - "it even smells good in here." The smell of a good bike shop is intoxicating. I quote the great Mark Twain when I say ""Eating and sleeping are the only activities that should be allowed to interrupt a man's enjoyment of his bike shop." I may be paraphrasing that.
1:50 - I wonder what he's doing for audio?
2:52 - Hey, I've seen this trail before on Jason's channel!
6:50 - Wow, look at those colors in that scenery!
7:54 - What kind of hubs are you running on those bikes? The freewheel is nice a loud. Sweet!
12:29 - Is that cable cam thing something he's developing, or is it something he's already developed and he's prototyping it now? I think I've seen something similar online somewhere.
Never mind. I just saw the link in your description. I might have to get this. I also want a drone, but this would be nice for when I'm in among the trees of my local trail.
14:57 - "We've ridden that trail so many times, it never gets old." That is exactly how I feel about Brown Canyon Trail here in Sierra Vista. I love that trail. I've ridden it probably over a hundred times this year and it just gets better and better.
It is so nice to be able to watch these videos, Brian. This one felt particularly nice because I couldn't help but feel like Corner Canyon might not be unlike my local trails. I'll have to keep my eyes and ears open for opportunities to ride that. I'm not close, but who knows?
Thanks for sharing, Mr. Kennedy! As always, stay upright and keep the rubber side down.
-Brian
Thanks man! Hope you're feeling better
BKXC I have good days and not so good. I go in for surgery on Wednesday. That should begin a much shorter and more sure road to recovery and get me back in the saddle sooner. 😁
Wow Brian nice trails there! Thanks for the vid you killed it!
Thanks Jonathan!
I want to get into MTB trail riding so bad I rode a little bit when younger but life man I can't imagine being that free I can't even afford a motobecane the videos are amazing my man keep it up love watching
Thanks dude!
Great Videos Brian 👍👍 great riding you looked like you were in the groove 👍👍
I felt great!
First time to your channel. Saw you with Jason from MTB Yumyum and wanted to check out your channel. New subscriber now. Cool. Looking forward to watching more.
Welcome aboard!
Clear Gear spray kills most of the funk in my knee pads and gloves. $15 on Amazon. Worth a shot. Spray until saturated and allow to dry as directions say or it wont work well.
Oh wow, I need to look that up!
Looks awesome! I love when u colab with other youtubers
Me too!!
Cool to see the colab with Yum Yum.
Thanks Brian! It was a great day
Great vid.. love those autumn colours
Thanks Richard!
STELLAR video Brian!! That trail is super cool!!!!
Thanks Joe!
Dude! Those trails where SICK!! That flowiness was something else. And the colors over the top beautiful. How would you compare the hightower to your bike?
It really was the total package! Felt much faster than the Bronson!
That trail looks fast as hell. Two things, did you get any more of the cable cam footage so we can see? Second, you mention "so many hot moms" but share not video of such, to shame!!!! :D
I always thought when I started Mountain Biking in 1990 it was a great time to be a mountain biker, EVERYTHING was new. I have to agree though, right now is a great time for all the points that were mentioned and most of all, very good trails and bike parks.
That was all the usable cable cam shots we got, we only stopped for about 10 minutes. If you're willing to spend more time you'd get more shots for sure.
What a strange thing....seeing you ride trails void of rugged rocks and roots! Lol those trails look like a blast though. What did you think of the ol wagon wheels?? Shopping for 29 wheels now for my 27+ hightower
Haha yep! 29ers have arrived
How was riding the Hightower compared to the Bronson?!?!?
Definitely felt fast on the big wheels!
Looks like fun @bkxc ! I think I prefer a bit more tech though! Flow Trails are nice once in awhile though !
I loved it!! Thanks dude
Yes!
That’s why I’m moving to Utah
Nice!!
That cablecam makes me want to make something similar with a pulley for my gopro
Yeah, it's such a cool little rig
Hay Brian remember when your rides were nice and sedate, lol. How they are full on rowdy, you've come on leaps and bounds m8. Keep up the good work.
Haha thanks Edward!!
Hi Brian lovely fluffy ride fantastic autumn colours if it was a little less cropped it would've caught more of the beauty of the trail. Can't wait to see you ride Africa.:)
Thanks!
Wow amazing, totally speechless how beautiful that trail is. Just subbed too.
It was so awesome! Welcome aboard
These trails looked so fun!
They were a blast!
What size did you ride of Hightower ? Your knees were close to handle bar so I would assume size medium. What did you think of the ride ?
Honestly don't remember what size the bike was!
those are some fast fun tracks..looked RAD!!
It was!!
Cool to see you in my area. I ride that Corner Canyon all the time. Did you get to ride Levitate and/Or Vertigo? Those are both DH only trails up there. Would have been fun to ride with you guys. Glad you visited the area and hope you liked it. I was actually looking for my car at the parking lot at the trailhead. That is where I usually go.
John, I ride Corner Canyon 2-4 times a week!
Yep yep, stay tuned!
Finally, you visited my home trails.
Nice!!
Damn it Brian...i got so much coursework to do at Java and here i am watching your video.
Haha good to see you around again Vlad
A bit surreal watching you rip through CC. So cool!
Haha it really was! Thanks dude
I'm so sad I missed you!! I've always been hoping you could come.
Im sure I'll be back!
BKXC YAYA OK 😃
this is a late comment but this is where i ride and rush is the best trail
I watch Jason's vids, they sometimes hit 30 in certain areas so he/they FLY there
That's a great trail Flow awesome...
mtb yum yums trails look so dang fast, yes!
Yep, it was pretty much a race course!
Were you able to hit up Maple Hollow Downhill in Corner Canyon? Just as fun as jacobs ladder.
Stay tuned!
BKXC awesome!! I actually live in the neighborhood at the top of Corner canyon and I can tell you filmed this about a month ago since the road is blocked off haha
Great video, Brian! What did you think of the HT 29er? That bike or the HT LT are at the top of my purchase list atm. Looking forward to riding Jacob's & Rush, myself.
Navarre, go LT for sure!
I liked it! I'll always go for the bike with more travel though
extra wild landsape for extra wild riders!!!
Haha thanks bud
Jacobs ladder know it well ! Never ridden it !!! I bet Jason has ridden it a thousand times!
hahaha yeah, maybe! 78 times this year!!!
Haha nice
Looks like such a good trail!
It is!!
You should have gone just down the street to the huge aquarium. That’s where I work and I would have taken you on a tour.
Oh wow, missed it!
Amazing video, love the bike too
Thanks Tom!
That gap jump 🙀awesome riding Brian👍🏻
Haha coulda made it!
dude, you hit bigger jumps than that all day... just the gap gets in your head before sending it... we all do that... when I ride a new trail and theres gaps I usually check them out first... 1-pre-ride 2 re-ride 3 FREERIDE!!! #SENDIT those are 3 good rules to live by while riding new trails imho!
BKXC we have faith in you brian ur a gud rider hopefully this confidence booster will drive u to send it
Awesome! Great bikes as well!
Thanks Peter
Wish I would of known you were in here! Would of loved to go ride with y'all at corner canyon!
Maybe I'll do a Patreon group ride next time!
That would be awesome!!! I'll sign up for your patreon videos so I can stay updated if it happens
I live in Salt Lake City Utah which is about 20 minutes away from the conner canyon trails. It is awesome that you are riding in my stomping grounds. I love your channel and mountain biking. I also race xc for my high School which let's me tavel all over the state for races (including moad). I also have a RUclips channel that I recently started. You should check it out! Keep shredding and making awesome content.
Really some fun stuff out there!!
Brian I wanna see you jumping... you got this man!
I'm getting better!
You probably haven't had time to get an Advent Calendar being in Africa etc !!!!
Don't worry I've made the worlds first mtb advent calendar for all of ya🎄🎄🎄🎄
Haha nice
hi, I am back from the dark side. Changed my Pc to shiny new 5k iMac. Do you shoot in 4K? Thats a great trail. It may be cold outside, but I think you get some great blue Skys in the winter as less moisture in the atmosphere obviously only when clear and blue. Although a low sun can be a pain when its low enough to get in camera shot. You get to do some great trails and another demo bike.
Thanks Paul! I shoot 2.7 K and upscale to 4k
loved it! Jasonnnnn!
Haha thanks dude
Yikes, never really noticed that gap at the bottom of Jacobs Ladder from MTB yumyum videos. Riding Blind ha ha !
Haha it got me!
“It’s great watching Jason move his body around.”
“Kevin’s going to whip out...”
Things just got weird. Lol
Other thoughts on the HT? I am leaning toward a HT LT for my next bike. (Slightly diff I know but...)
Test ride it and know for yourself!!
BKXC I have not found an XXL frame close by and no plans to visit CA anytime soon. :(
I have to rely on you good folks for opinions.
