Good morning, Brian! I am finding great comfort in watching your videos, these past few days. I've taken steps to ensure I can get back on the bike sooner rather than later. I'll be going in for surgery on my clavicle next week. It's still mind blowing to me that I had this accident. I've started putting together a video for it. I hope to have it finished by this weekend, so I'll have it up on my channel soon. For now, let's see Captain Ahab!! 1:54 - It may simply be because of my accident, but man this section looks super scary at the moment! 5:23 - "I don't think there's a better simple joy in life than starting back on the trail when you're all sweaty and feeling the wind." I know what you're talking about. It's rejuvenating. That happens to me on my favorite trail in one particular spot. There's a big climb and then there's a brief downhill respite before making the final leg up to the top. That little break in the climb is always where I get a second wind and the rest of the climb is a piece of cake. 6:40 - I find it curious how sometimes on these rides it's really not so much of a trail you're following as just riding a path over rocks and choosing a line. And now that I type that out, I realize that doesn't really make much sense... 9:02 - My 10-year-old would call this "squeazy". 11:35 - Interesting. The ground *looks* like it's softer sand but the sound I hear is definitely riding across rock. 12:09 - I love the fattie category. I plan to stay in that class of bike. The level of control is awesome, even though they climb like mules. 14:05 - Oh man, this would be one I'd take slow. I'd be too afraid of getting into a jump and missing the landing. 15:40 - Looks like some Lord of the Rings type castle scenery in the background right here. Magnificent! Nice trip, Brian. What a trail. There were several very hairy moments there. I admire y'all who can take on these things. I'm inspired to build my skills to where I can do this. Some day. For now, I'm concentrating on healing so I can get back in the saddle and get back on the trail. Remember, stay upright and keep the rubber side down. -Brian
Awesome! This video is so much better than your first one on this trail, its been awesome to see you improve so drastically over time. Ahab scared me shitless in a couple of spots for sure, its crazy how such a short loop millagewise can drain so much energy.
14:04 ... I watch all of your, Alexander and Seth's videos and i recognise this bit of the trail from a video from Alexander not long ago, thats so cool, i live in a flat landscape so for me thats amazing!!
I'm glad they gave everyone a little advise about riding the trail. My feedback was to provide more advice for those of us that have never ridden on those type of trails. My biggest concern about going on another one of those trips is being a good enough bike handler. You really have to be exact on a few of those features and if you miss, it can ruin your day.
Probably looking at a tour like this one when I do come over to your beautiful country. Watched Alex lead a similar one on his channel a while back. Will probably hire a bike when there, as mine is a mid travel 130mm front and rear, and 27.5. Might not be enough for Moab. One way or another, I will get there!
The Cptn./ Amasa Back are in my top 5 favs for sure. I rode with a guy that cleared the Jeep climb like a molehill, on the left side too, impressive s#!t. Jackson is a fun off-shoot
Love that your honest. Just because you have a camera and a channel, doesn't mean you feel the need to do everything. Confidence is confidence and knowing your abilities is just as important. Thanks for showing it's ok to say; Nope, not today.
Nice job! Amash back is a gasser climb! U can really feel the altitude! Great ride considering it was your 4th day riding and a day after TWA. I was smoked after TWA.
Dude, were you hucking more stuff this time or is it me? I feel like you were also smeeaashing your bike up over features with brute force and cleaning pretty much everything! Great work!
Fantastic riding man, you climb like a goat! Interesting to see how given all the stoke and crazy level of confidence you still say no (for the moment) to sections which are way too risky. Good call, same attitude saved me many times :)
You might not want to take all the crazy downs but you fear no climb, you crazy Californian mountain 🐐. Some nice riding, keep on doing what you doing. Cant wait to see what you get into in Africa.
Watching you and your lines, everything seems and feels so easy to hit. It's pretty cool to see a Brazilian guy riding along with you, i'd love to if I could. Cheers, man! PS: What a beautiful view!
Nice riding, and I love that you left the footage in where you didn't hit some of the more gnarly lines. You could have just as easily edited that out, but it makes it more human and realistic. Props for keeping it real. On trails like that, with a rock landing on a simple OTB, the thought of getting help if you were injured isn't appealing. There's that voice saying, "Yep, I could do that 49 out of 50 times, but it sure is going to suck being up here waiting for help to get to the hospital if this is that 1 in 50." That internal voice gets louder as you get older. :-) From around 13:00 on is some of the coolest trail on the planet as far as I'm concerned. I watched the video on them building that, and it was amazing. I loved riding it, and the video quality is right up the GoPro cameras' alley with consistent bright lighting, so it makes for some of the best videos you'll ever get. Thanks for sharing man, and looking forward to Africa!
BMC should be very happy..you certainly marketed well for them. Good riding, Brian. And that Trailfox looks sweet.. think you'll ever get yourself a 29er?
Brian I just came back from a three day trail ride at some awesome mountain bike trails in Cleburne State Park, near the town of Cleburne Texas, awesome damn trails bro, almost what you went thru in Spain rough terrain, awesome time.

Haha I like that term "Squeazy"! Hope you're feeling a little better Brian!
Man I love that kind of riding! Such a test of both the rider and bike. Those poor, poor bikes...
Haha I love it too, may the strongest bike survive!
Awesome! This video is so much better than your first one on this trail, its been awesome to see you improve so drastically over time. Ahab scared me shitless in a couple of spots for sure, its crazy how such a short loop millagewise can drain so much energy.
I always think it'd be fun to do it twice, but by the end there's no way I'm going back up! Love it!
14:04 ... I watch all of your, Alexander and Seth's videos and i recognise this bit of the trail from a video from Alexander not long ago, thats so cool, i live in a flat landscape so for me thats amazing!!
Yes!! Thanks Kent
So cool! Your comments while riding are just awesome when you not sure about things or chicken out (like I would).
Thanks Gary! Glad you appreciate the journey!
Love the view at 9:27. the hills and rock and so sick looking. Great video Bro. Once again you don't disappoint!!! Live-Life-Loud, my friend!!
Such an awesome landscape!
I'm glad they gave everyone a little advise about riding the trail. My feedback was to provide more advice for those of us that have never ridden on those type of trails. Yep, the Moab / St. George style requires this goofy extra level of bike handling skills compared to so many other destinations!

Oh wow!! That's awesome

Thanks Billie, that's definitely my approach, just document my experience and most people can identify with that!
Nice job! Amash back is a gasser climb! U can really feel the altitude! Great ride considering it was your 4th day riding and a day after TWA. I was smoked after TWA.
Haha nice, I still had a little in the tank somehow!
Great trip Brian! Next t-shirt from BKXC..."Rattle Them Bones!" Run with it.
Haha yes!! Always love the ideas
Fantastic ride yet again! Awesome trails and such great fun to watch!
Thanks bud!
"Going for it!" Then that view...nice!
👏👏👏👍😀
Keep up the great vids!
Haha thanks Scott!
Ahab was the hardest trail I've ever ridden. The climb up Hymasa crushed me and the technical downhill on Ahab was insane.
It really is a crazy trail! Hope you get back and do it again some day
I love Moab and it's surroundings!
It's a pretty amazing place!
Sooo Sweet. Gotta get there one of these days!
It's a great one!
Now I need to get a new bike just to name it beast mode. Awesome Brian!!
Haha yes !
your truly blessed Brian. . great ride..
Thanks Jeffrey!
That terrain looks so tuff. Great job!
It was a tough test!
Great vid as always! Thanks Brian for sharing
Thanks Faizal!
Bloody hell I need to make it out to America someday soon
DO IT!
Beautiful landscape, with another great ride to see.
Thanks Fabio!
Brian you made all those when you rode with Alex and Seth. HAHA sometimes its just not your day!! happens to us all.
Haha no I didn't! I did make one when I was riding with my brother though!
Ah maybe that was what I saw you schooling your brother!! HAHA !!
Yessss, Love this upload schedule 👍👍
😁👍
I'm saying it again. Gnarly content brother love what you're doing
Love hearing it every time Kyle!
Go for it!!! Hahaha Brian you miss riding with Seth and Alex in Moab haha
Definitely!
Dude, were you hucking more stuff this time or is it me? I feel like you were also smeeaashing your bike up over features with brute force and cleaning pretty much everything! Great work!
Doing my damndest! Thanks dude
Awesome trails, need to get over to the USA for some riding
Do it Bruce!
BKXC when are you in Cape Town, South Africa? Would be awesome to hook up for a ride.
Come to Madeira island and do some videos here
Some day!
Another great video brian keep up the great work......👍
Thanks man!
unreal place WOW nice riding Brian, scary stuff, no brown shorts I hope?
Hahaha thanks dude
Fantastic riding man, you climb like a goat! Interesting to see how given all the stoke and crazy level of confidence you still say no (for the moment) to sections which are way too risky. Good call, same attitude saved me many times :)
Thanks so much man, always a blend of the risk and reward!
I love that you’re using maple syrup instead of gu shots. I usually throw 20 Sour Patch Kids in an old ibuprofen bottle. Way cheaper than Gu shots!
Nice!!
Great video Brian! What bike did you ride on this trip? Keep em coming!
I rode the BMC Trailfox!
You might not want to take all the crazy downs but you fear no climb, you crazy Californian mountain 🐐. Some nice riding, keep on doing what you doing. Cant wait to see what you get into in Africa.
Haha yep, always up for some goofy climbs!
Now that was a motivator for my ride tonight!!
AWESOME!
Best thing to do after a hard day at work is too watch a BKXC Video and enjoy it big time. Can't wait for the weekend so i can ride again myself!
Awesome, love hearing that!
So cool, but you make it look so easy
Wow.. Splendid 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks bud!
How did you like the BMC? How about compared to the Bronson?
I liked it! I'm digging the ole 29 wheels now
I'm local Moab and love the local shoutouts!! Was from Love Muffin da shit!
Haha awesome!!
Great video Brian👍 Are you going to do a road trip with Alexander again next year ???👍👍
I hope so!
Hey Brian! What's better for safety 27.5+ or 29er I can't decide which full suspenison bike I want to get out of the two?
Get a test ride on both!
More memories !
Some great ones!
Last video you were so distracted from dog, you passed right by your brother I believe. Great third time around Brian!
Thanks man, always love doing this trail!
Sick view and as always great video man!
Thanks bud!
Ha! Breakfast with BKXC!
Yeah buddy!
Stupid question but is that blue paint or blue tape marking the trail? And has that always been there?
Paint! I'm guessing they have to re-paint every year or so
Great video 👍 even though I haven't watched it yet
Thanks Tomi!
Utah ROCKS :)
Yes it does!
Damn you Brian, Spain trip cancelled USA here we come......again!
Hahah
The Love Muffin Cafe is really good. Their New Mexico breakfast burrito was my favorite breakfast in Moab.
Nice! I'll have to try it next time
We ate there four days in a row in Moab. Wescial FTW
Did you guys go down that huge ledge at the beginning? I've seen it before and i could never imagine myself doing it🤣
Hmm, guess not if I didn't put it in the video!
Always wonder if anyone has ridden the whole trail without a foot down... Great stuff!
Yeah man, I'm sure someone like Nate Hills or Kyle Mears own this trail!
Thousands of people were roding that bike all at once
From the time PST this was uploaded I'm like, "jeez, Brian, get some sleep!" Then I think, "oh, he's in Africa."
Always automatic scheduling!
Do you use a head mount or chest for GoPro?
Chest mount! Link in the description!
Oh, and hope Kenya and Cape Town are everything you want them to be.
Me too!
6:00 gets me every time!
Hahaha, my cheap tricks!
I would love your job
Dude I think this landscape is just awesome! It is.. dare I say.. beautiful.
You said it!!
"Rider up!"
"Rider down!"
Ahab will give it to ya! Such an awesome trail! Great video! 🤘
Hahaha, yep! Thanks dude
How's the bike feel? :D
Great!
Climbs like a goat descends like a demon
Haha amen!
Watching you and your lines, everything seems and feels so easy to hit. It's pretty cool to see a Brazilian guy riding along with you, i'd love to if I could. Cheers, man!
PS: What a beautiful view!
Nothing about Captain Ahab is easy hah
Patrick White
That's Utah, right?
Dude, i'd love to get over there and see that wonderful landscape in person. That's otherworldly, man!
Yeah its Moab, Utah! One of the best places in the world to ride IMO :) You gotta get over there!
Só vai pra Utah, bom demais!
Thanks so much Felipe, lots of tough stuff on this trail!
Great video Brian👍. Thank god for that sun ☀️
Thanks Michael!

I've gotta go back and watch the video of them building the trail now that I've ridden it a few times! Glad you enjoyed it!
Could you share the link to the trail building video?
5:47 looks like you destroyed your wheel
Haha just about
Thanks for what you do....these rides are always on point Brian. Looking forward to the Africa footage rides!!
Thanks for sticking around for them Chris!
what's the altitude on this ride
Moab is around 4,000 feet
Its like an alien planet. Man oh man. I can't wait to get down there for some laps.
Haha it really is!
BMC should be very happy..you certainly marketed well for them. Good riding, Brian. And that Trailfox looks sweet.. think you'll ever get yourself a 29er?
Thanks Manny, I think I gave the bike a damn good show! Yep, 29er next
Manny Fonseca shhhhhhh. Dont tell orbea
sorry to sound like a parrot but ..what an awesome trail, great vid yet again :-)
Haha, I don't mind!
Finishing off strong Brian! Also what knee pads do you use? Still the POC Joint VPD Air Knee Pad?
Thanks dude! Yep still those
A beast in tech riding
Doing my best!
Epic chased
All damn day!
Nice Brian! Moab is so fun. I didn’t do Ahab, that one looks pretty gnarly
Thanks Micael! Good to see you around here again!
I do ~1/4 cup Maple Syrup + dump out a SaltStick pill and top with water in a bottle for a homemade energy drink on longer rides.
Oh wow, I like that idea!
Brian I just came back from a three day trail ride at some awesome mountain bike trails in Cleburne State Park, near the town of Cleburne Texas, awesome damn trails bro, almost what you went thru in Spain rough terrain, awesome time.
That's so cool, I'll have to look it up!
BKXC I'll guide u
Got to say Brian, you've advanced a lot over this year, still doing the great videos as well.
Thanks so much!
BKXC bought a new bike, Mondraker eCrafty, when I get out on it I'll do some footage.
Captain ahab or porcupine?🤔
Porcupine
Hi bro❤️
i can't wait to go back riding Captain Ahab. Next time you should try Goldbar Rim to Portal.
Yes, I definitely have to try that next!
✨👍✨
Thanks Stu
i love climbing 😃
Me too!
You need to get some Untapped maple packets. They are choice. untapped.cc
I tried them in Downieville, really good, really expensive!
You might have said this in a previous video but how do you like the bike (edit I’m like 99% sure you have)
Never mind I’m dumb
It's a solid machine for sure!
I hope to do this one day, first I'll need money.
Brian you've done way more technical stuff than that drop at 13:24 but isn't it crazy how the mind fucks with you? Great video and great riding Brian!
Man, that drop was super goofy in real life! Thanks so much Steven!
9:38 the hills have eyes
Haha it is a little scary now that you mention it
Righteous
Thanks JM
You know it's a great video when it ends to soon. The west is still the best.
Haha love hearing that!
"Just need a couple strokes... Story of my life" -BKXC
Sorry bro 😂
Hahaha
Brian dont worry about having to walk OR putting a foot down or whatever..From my eyes about 90% of that isnt rideable anyways..
Haha amen!
